తెలంగాణలో 1 కోటి 15 లక్షల కుటుంబాలకు జీవిత బీమా, ఆరోగ్య భద్రత అందించాలని ఆలోచన చేస్తున్నట్టు ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు తెలిపారు. “విద్య, వైద్యం, వ్యవసాయం రంగాలను నూతన చాలెంజ్ కింద రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం తీసుకుంది. పేదలకు సరైన విద్య, వైద్యాన్ని అందించినప్పుడు దాదాపు 90 శాతం సమస్యలను పరిష్కరించగలిగినట్టే. అందుకే జీవిత బీమా, ఆరోగ్య భద్రత అందించాలనుకుంటున్నాం” అని చెప్పారు.
హైదరాబాద్ కోకాపేట ఫైనాన్షియల్ డిస్ట్రిక్ట్లో కొత్తగా నిర్మించిన మెడికవర్ ఆసుపత్రిని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు మంత్రి దామోదర రాజనర్సింహ గారితో కలిసి ప్రారంభించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు మాట్లాడుతూ, “మహిళలు అత్యధికంగా ఆరోగ్యపరమైన సమస్యలు ఎదుర్కొంటున్నందున రాష్ట్రంలోని 65 లక్షల మంది స్వయం సహాయక మహిళా సంఘాలకు డిజిటల్ హెల్త్ కార్డులు జారీ చేసే ప్రక్రియను ప్రారంభించాం.
గడిచిన రెండేళ్లో రాజీవ్ ఆరోగ్యశ్రీ, సీఎంఆర్ఎఫ్ (CMRF) కింద 1800 కోట్లు పేదల వైద్యం కోసం ఖర్చు పెట్టాం. ఉస్మానియా, వరంగల్ టిమ్స్, అల్వాల్ టిమ్స్, ఎల్బీనగర్ టిమ్స్, సనత్ నగర్ టిమ్స్, నిమ్స్.. ఆసుపత్రుల్లో దాదాపు 10 వేల కోట్లు ఖర్చు చేసి 10 వేల పడకల ఆసుపత్రులను నిర్మిస్తున్నాం.
విద్య ఇప్పుడు మారుమూల ప్రాంతాలకు చేరినప్పటికీ నాణ్యమైన విద్య అందడం లేదు. యాంత్రికంగా సాగుతున్న విద్యా విధానంలో మార్పులకు శ్రీకారం చుట్టాం. నైపుణ్యత మెరుగుపర్చుకోకుంటే, ప్రపంచంతో పోటీ పడలేం. అందుకే విద్యా విధానంలో సంస్కరణలు చేపట్టాం. ఒక పాలసీ తీసుకొచ్చాం. విద్యతో పాటు స్కిల్స్ అవసరం.
నర్సరీ నుంచి 12 వ తరగతి వరకు నాణ్యమైన విద్యను అందించాలని కొత్త కాన్సెప్ట్తో తెలంగాణ పబ్లిక్ స్కూల్స్ విధానం తీసుకొస్తున్నాం. ఇప్పటివరకు 10 వ తరగతి తర్వాత ఇంటర్ విధానం కొనసాగుతోంది. వచ్చే విద్యా సంవత్సరం నుంచి నర్సరీ నుంచి 12 వ తరగతి పాఠశాల విద్య కింద తీసుకొస్తున్నాం.
విద్యార్థులకు పాఠశాలల్లో ఉదయం నాణ్యమైన అల్పాహారం, మధ్యాహ్న భోజనం అందించాలని నిర్ణయించాం. కార్పొరేట్ స్కూల్స్ తరహాలోనే విద్యార్థులకు ఉచితంగా లేదా 50 శాతం ఖర్చుతో రవాణా సౌకర్యం కల్పించాలని ప్రభుత్వం నిర్ణయించింది. వచ్చే విద్యా సంవత్సరం నుంచి కోర్ అర్బన్ రీజియన్లో నూతన విధానం ప్రవేశపెట్టాలని భావిస్తున్నాం.
ఏఐ రావడం వల్ల టెక్నాలజీ రంగంలో వైట్ కాలర్ జాబ్స్కు ప్రత్యామ్నాయంగా మారొచ్చునేమో, కానీ బ్లూ కాలర్ జాబ్స్ని ఏఐ రిప్లేస్ చేయలేదు. స్కిల్స్ లేని కారణంగా ప్రతి ఏటా రాష్ట్రం నుంచి 1.10 లక్షల ఇంజనీరింగ్ గ్యాడ్యుయేట్లు ప్రపంచంతో పోటీ పడలేని పరిస్థితి.
అందుకే యంగ్ ఇండియా స్కిల్స్ యూనివర్సిటీ ప్రారంభించాం. టాటా కన్సల్టెన్సీ సహకారంతో పురాతన ఐటీఐలను ఏటీసీ సెంటర్లుగా మార్చాం. తర్వాత దశలో పాలిటెక్నిక్ కాలేజీలను కూడా ఈ విధానంలోకి తెస్తాం.
కార్పొరేట్ ఆసుపత్రుల్లో పని చేస్తున్న వైద్యులు సామాజిక బాధ్యత కింద సంవత్సరంలో నెల రోజుల పాటు ప్రభుత్వ ఆసుపత్రుల్లో పేదలకు సేవలు అందించాలి. ఇందుకు సంబంధించి ప్రభుత్వం ఒక వేదిక సృష్టించబోతోందని, విదేశాల్లో ఉన్న మన వైద్యులతో పాటు ఇక్కడ కార్పొరేట్ ఆసుపత్రుల్లో పనిచేస్తున్న వైద్యులు కూడా ముందుకు రావాలి.
వైద్యం యాంత్రికంగా చేసే వృత్తి కాదు. పేదలకు, కష్టాల్లో ఉన్నవారికి మానవత్వంతో కూడిన వైద్య సహాయాన్ని అందించినప్పుడే రోగులకు వారి కుటుంబాలకు న్యాయం జరుగుతుంది. ఆసుపత్రుల్లో వైద్యులు వ్యవహరించే తీరు, నిర్వహించే విధానమే రోగుల సగం సమస్యలను పరిష్కరిస్తుంది.
దేశంలో 25వ మెడికవర్ ఆసుపత్రిని ప్రారంభించడం సంతోషం. దేశంలో వేగంగా విస్తరిస్తున్న ఈ హాస్పిటల్ మరింతగా రాణించాలి” అని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు అభిలషించారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో రాజ్యసభ సభ్యులు వేం నరేందర్ రెడ్డి గారు, ఎమ్మెల్యేలు కుందూరు జైయవీర్ రెడ్డి గారు, నవీన్ యాదవ్ గారు, మెడికవర్ హాస్పిటల్ చైర్మన్, మేనేజింగ్ డైరెక్టర్ అనిల్ కృష్ణ గారు, ఎగ్జిక్యూటివ్ డైరెక్టర్లు డాక్టర్ శరత్ రెడ్డి గారు, డాక్టర్ హరికృష్ణ గారు హైదరాబాద్ నగర పోలీస్ కమిషనర్ సజ్జనార్ గారితో పాటు పలువురు ప్రముఖులు వైద్యులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy announced that the Telangana government is planning to provide life insurance and comprehensive health security to 1.15 crore families across the state. He highlighted the government’s focus on key sectors, saying: “Education, healthcare, and agriculture are priority areas. By providing proper education and healthcare to the underprivileged, nearly 90% of societal challenges can be effectively addressed. This is why we are committed to life insurance and health security.”
The Chief Minister, along with Minister Damodara Raja Narasimha, inaugurated the newly constructed Medicover Hospital in the Financial District of Kokapet, Hyderabad.
Speaking on this occasion, he said: “Women face a disproportionately high number of health-related issues. To address this, digital health cards are being issued to the 6.5 million women members of Self-Help Groups across Telangana.”
Over the past two years, the government has spent ₹1,800 crores under the Rajiv Aarogyasri and Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) schemes to provide medical care for the poor. Hospitals with a total capacity of 10,000 beds are being constructed at Osmania, Warangal TIMS, Alwal TIMS, LB Nagar TIMS, Sanath Nagar TIMS, and NIMS, with nearly ₹10,000 crores invested in these projects.
On education, the Chief Minister emphasized reforms: “Although education has reached remote areas, quality remains limited. Unless students acquire practical skills alongside academics, they cannot compete globally. This is why we have introduced comprehensive reforms.”
The new Telangana Public Schools system will provide quality education from Nursery to 12th grade, replacing the separate Intermediate system after 10th grade. Students will also receive nutritious breakfasts and lunches, and transportation will be provided either free or at 50% subsidized cost. This initiative will first be implemented in the core urban region.
On skill development, he added: “AI may replace some white-collar jobs, but not blue-collar work. Every year, 1.10 lakh engineering graduates from Telangana are unable to compete globally due to lack of skills. To address this, we have established the Young India Skills University. With support from Tata Consultancy Services, ITIs have been transformed into Advanced Training Centers, and polytechnic colleges will soon join this initiative.”
On social responsibility: “Doctors in corporate hospitals should dedicate one month annually to serve the underprivileged in government hospitals. The government is creating a platform for this, and we invite doctors working abroad and locally to participate.”
On healthcare values: “Medicine is not merely a mechanical profession. True justice is delivered to patients and families only when medical care is provided with humanity and compassion. The conduct of doctors and hospital administration can itself resolve a large portion of a patient’s health issues.”
The Chief Minister expressed his delight at the expansion: “It is a pleasure to inaugurate Medicover Hospitals’ 25th facility in India. I hope this rapidly growing chain continues to excel and achieve greater milestones.”
The event was attended by Rajya Sabha Member Vem Narender Reddy, MLAs Kunduru Jaiweer Reddy and Naveen Yadav, Medicover Hospitals Chairman & MD Anil Krishna, Executive Directors Dr. Sarath Reddy and Dr. Harikrishna, along with Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Sajjanar and several other dignitaries and medical professionals.
