తెలంగాణలో అత్యంత వెనుకబడిన ఆదిలాబాద్ జిల్లా అభివృద్ధి కోసం ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు సమగ్ర ప్రణాళికను ప్రకటించారు. బాసర ఐఐఐటీలో విశ్వవిద్యాలయం, నిర్మల్లో అడ్వాన్స్డ్ టెక్నాలజీ సెంటర్ (ATC) ఏర్పాటు, ఉమ్మడి ఆదిలాబాద్ జిల్లా తాగు, సాగునీటి కోసం తుమ్మిడిహెట్టి వద్ద చేవెళ్ల ప్రాణహిత ప్రాజెక్టు నిర్మాణం, జిల్లాలో కొత్తగా అతిపెద్ద పారిశ్రామిక కేంద్రం ఏర్పాటు వంటి అనేక అభివృద్ధి ప్రణాళికలను వెల్లడించారు.
ఆదిలాబాద్ ఉమ్మడి జిల్లాలో రూ. 386.46 కోట్లతో చేపట్టనున్న పలు అభివృద్ధి పనులకు మంత్రులు, ప్రజాప్రతినిధులతో కలిసి ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు శంకుస్థాపన చేశారు. అనంతరం నిర్మల్ పట్టణంలో నిర్వహించిన “ప్రజా పాలన – ప్రగతి బాట” బహిరంగ సభలో పాల్గొని ప్రసంగించారు.
“తెలంగాణ ప్రాంతంలో అత్యంత వెనుకబడిన ఆదిలాబాద్లో జరగాల్సినంత అభివృద్ధి, జిల్లాకు రావలసిన నీరు రాలేదు. పాలమూరు జిల్లాకు ఏ మేరకు ప్రాధాన్యతనిచ్చి అభివృద్ధి చేసుకుంటున్నామో అదే తరహాలో ఆదిలాబాద్ జిల్లాను అభివృద్ధి చేస్తాం.
చనాక – కొరాట బ్యారేజీకి మాజీ మంత్రి చిలుకూరి రామచంద్రారెడ్డి గారి పేరును, సదర్మట్ బ్యారేజీకి స్వతంత్ర సమరయోధుడు, మాజీ మంత్రి పి. నర్సారెడ్డి గారి పేరును పెడుతున్నాం. నీటి పారుదల శాఖ మంత్రి గారు, ప్రభుత్వ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి వెంటనే అవసరమైన చర్యలు చేపట్టాలి.
పదేళ్ల పాటు చనాకా – కొరాట పూర్తి చేయలేదు. ప్రజాప్రభుత్వం అధికారంలోకి వచ్చిన తర్వాత ప్రాజెక్టును పూర్తి చేసుకున్నాం. నిర్మల్ లో అడ్వాన్స్డ్ టెక్నాలజీ సెంటర్ ను ఏర్పాటు చేస్తాం.
సరస్వతీ ఆలయమున్న బాసర ఐఐఐటీలో విశ్వవిద్యాలయం ఏర్పాటు చేస్తాం. యూనివర్సిటీని ఎక్కడ ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని చర్చించుకుంటూ పోతే ప్రారంభం కాదు. అందుకే బాసరలో వర్సిటీని ఏర్పాటు చేస్తున్నాం. ప్రజాప్రతినిధులు అందుకు సహకరించాలి.
ఆదిలాబాద్లో అతిపెద్ద పారిశ్రామిక వాడను అభివృద్ది చేసి దేశంలోని ప్రతి పరిశ్రమను ఇక్కడ స్థాపించేలా చర్యలు తీసుకుంటాం. పారిశ్రామిక వాడ ఏర్పాటు కోసం 10 వేల ఎకరాల భూమి సేకరించాలి.
ఎన్నికల సమయంలో రాజకీయాలు. ఇప్పుడు ఓట్లేసి గెలిపించిన ప్రజల కోసం కలిసిమెలిసి పనిచేద్దాం. ఎర్రబస్సు కూడా రావడం లేదని చెబుతున్న పరిస్థితి నుంచి ఎయిర్ బస్సు వచ్చేలా ప్రధానమంత్రి గారి చేతుల మీదుగా ప్రారంభోత్సవం చేసుకుందాం.
రాష్ట్రానికి సంబంధించి అనుమతులు, నిధుల కోసం ఢిల్లీకి వెళ్లి ప్రధానమంత్రి గారిని కేంద్ర మంత్రులను ఎలాగైతే కలుస్తున్నామో, అదే తరహాలో పార్టీలకు అతీతంగా రాష్ట్రంలో అభివృద్ధి పనుల కోసం ప్రజాప్రతినిధులు రావాలి.
ఫిబ్రవరి మొదటి వారంలో ఉమ్మడి జిల్లా ప్రజాప్రతినిధులతో, ఆ మరుసటి రోజు అధికార యంత్రాంగంతో జిల్లా ఇంచార్జీ మంత్రి గారు సమీక్ష నిర్వహించి నివేదిక సమర్పించాలి. ఆ నివేదికపై సాధ్యాసాధ్యాలను పరిశీలించి బడ్జెట్ సమావేశాల్లో అనుమతులు మంజూరు చేస్తాం.
తుమ్మిడిహెట్టి వద్ద గతంలో ప్రతిపాదిత డాక్టర్ బీఆర్ అంబేద్కర్ ప్రాణహిత చేవెళ్ల ప్రాజెక్టు నిర్మించి తీరుతాం. అందుకు డీపీఆర్ సిద్ధమవుతోంది. తుమ్మిడిహెట్టి కట్టాలంటే మహారాష్ట్ర నుంచి కొన్ని అనుమతులు తీసుకోవాలి. ప్రధానమంత్రి నరేంద్ర మోదీ గారు ఒక మాట చెబితే మన ప్రాంతానికి మేలు జరుగుతుంది. ఈ ప్రాంత అభివృద్ధి కోసం ఎవరినైనా కలుస్తాం.
నాగోబా జాతర కోసం 22 కోట్ల రూపాయలు కావాలని అడిగారు. తప్పనిసరిగా మంజూరు చేసి అభివృద్ధి చేస్తాం. దాదాపు 300 కోట్ల రూపాయలు ఖర్చు చేసి మేడారం సమ్మక్క సారలమ్మ మందిరాన్ని కుంభమేళా స్థాయిలో గొప్పగా పనులు చేస్తున్నాం.
మన భవిష్యత్ తరాల కోసం అభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమాలు చేపట్టాం. మేం పాలకులం కాదు. సేవకులం.” అని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు చెప్పారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో మంత్రులు ఉత్తమ్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి గారు, జూపల్లి కృష్ణారావు గారు, ప్రభుత్వ సలహాదారు సుదర్శన్ రెడ్డి గారు, ఎంపీ గోడం నగేష్ గారితో పాటు ఎమ్మెల్సీలు, ఎమ్మెల్యేలతో పాటు పలువురు ఇతర ప్రజాప్రతినిధులు, అధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy announced a comprehensive roadmap for the development of Adilabad district, one of the most backward regions in Telangana, with a focus on education, irrigation, industry, and infrastructure.
The Chief Minister unveiled multiple major initiatives, including the establishment of a university at Basara IIIT, setting up an Advanced Technology Center (ATC) in Nirmal, construction of the Pranahita–Chevella project at Tummidihatti to provide drinking and irrigation water to the undivided Adilabad district, and development of a large industrial hub to boost employment and economic growth.
Along with ministers and public representatives, the Chief Minister laid foundation stones for development works worth ₹386.46 crore across the undivided Adilabad district. He later participated in and addressed the Praja Palana – Pragathi Bata (People’s Governance – Path to Progress) public meeting held in Nirmal town.
Emphasising equitable regional development, the Chief Minister stated that Adilabad had long been deprived of adequate infrastructure and water resources and assured that the district would be developed on par with the focused development being undertaken in the Palamuru region.
The Chief Minister announced that the Chanaka–Korata barrage will be named after former minister Chilukuri Ramachandra Reddy, while the Sadarmat barrage will be named after freedom fighter and former minister P. Narsa Reddy, and directed the Irrigation Minister and Chief Secretary to initiate immediate action.
He noted that the Chanaka–Korata project remained incomplete for a decade but was completed after the formation of the people’s government. He reiterated the government’s commitment to establishing an Advanced Technology Center in Nirmal.
Addressing higher education, the Chief Minister confirmed the establishment of a university at Basara IIIT, stating that prolonged discussions over location delay progress, and called upon public representatives to cooperate in accelerating the process.
The Chief Minister announced plans to develop a large industrial park in Adilabad district, with the acquisition of approximately 10,000 acres of land, aiming to attract industries from across the country and generate large-scale employment.
Stressing unity beyond political affiliations, he said elections are time-bound, but development is continuous, and urged all representatives to work collectively for the welfare of the people who elected them.
He informed that the District In-charge Minister will conduct a review with elected representatives of the combined district in the first week of February, followed by a review with the administrative machinery, after which a detailed report will be submitted. Feasible proposals will be approved during the budget sessions.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Pranahita–Chevella project at Tummidihatti, the Chief Minister said the DPR is under preparation and that permissions from Maharashtra are required. He stated that the government is willing to engage with all stakeholders, including the Centre, for the region’s development.
Responding to requests for the Nagoba Jathara, the Chief Minister assured that ₹22 crore will be sanctioned for developmental works. He also highlighted that around ₹300 crore is being spent to develop the Medaram Sammakka Saralamma temple on the scale of the Kumbh Mela.
Concluding his address, the Chief Minister stated that the government is implementing development programs keeping future generations in mind and reiterated, “We are not rulers; we are servants of the people.”
Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy and Jupally Krishna Rao, Government Advisor P. Sudarshan Reddy, MP Godam Nagesh, along with MLCs, MLAs, senior officials, and other public representatives, participated in the programme.
