ఎన్నో రోజులుగా ఉత్కంఠగా ఎదురుచూసిన ప్రపంచ పుట్బాల్ దిగ్గజం, అర్జెంటినా కెప్టెన్ లియోనెల్ మెస్సీ హైదరాబాద్ ఉప్పల్లోని రాజీవ్ గాంధీ అంతర్జాతీయ స్టేడియం మైదానంలో క్రీడాభిమానులను ఉర్రూతలూగించింది. మెస్సీ స్టేడియంలోకి అడుగుపెట్టడం నుంచి ఆద్యంతం ఆసక్తికరంగా సాగిన ఎగ్జిబిషన్ ఫుట్బాల్ మ్యాచ్లో సింగరేణి ఆర్ఆర్-9 టీమ్ తరఫున ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు గోల్ సాధించి హైలైట్గా నిలిచారు.
ఫుట్బాల్ దిగ్గజాలు రోడ్రిగో డి పాల్ (అర్జెంటీనా), లూయిస్ సువారెజ్ (ఉరుగ్వే) లతో కలిసి హైదరాబాద్ చేరుకున్న మెస్సీ స్టేడియంలో అడుగుపెట్టినప్పటి నుంచి చివరి వరకు గ్యాలరీలో ఉన్న క్రీడాభిమానులకు అభివాదం చేస్తూ వారిలో జోష్ నింపారు. ప్రారంభంలో సింగరేణి ఆర్ఆర్ 9 టీమ్కు, అపర్ణ ఆల్ స్టార్స్ టీమ్కు మధ్యన సాగిన ఎగ్జిబిషన్ మ్యాచ్ను మెస్సీ ఆసక్తిగా తిలకించారు.
ఉత్తేజంగా సాగిన ఈ మ్యాచ్లో సింగరేణి ఆర్ఆర్-9 టీమ్ 4-0 గోల్స్తో విజయం సాధించింది. ఆర్ఆర్ టీమ్ తరఫున మధ్యలో చేరిన రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు నాలుగో గోల్ సాధించినప్పుడు అభిమానులు పెద్ద ఎత్తున కేరింతలు కొట్టారు. అతిధిగా హాజరైన రాహుల్ గాంధీ గారు ఈ మ్యాచ్ జరుగుతున్నంత సేపు గ్యాలరీ నుంచి తిలకించారు.

ఉప్పల్ స్టేడియంలో మ్యాచ్కు ముందు మ్యూజిక్ కన్సర్ట్, అద్బుతమైన లేజర్ షోతో కార్యక్రమం ప్రారంభమైంది. ప్రముఖ గాయకుడు రాహుల్ సిప్లిగంజ్ నాటు నాటు… పాటతో అభిమానులను అలరించారు. గాయకురాలు మంగ్లీ పాటలతో అభిమానుల్లో జోష్ నింపారు. ప్రతాప్ రాణా ప్రత్యేకంగా కంపోజ్ చేసిన పాటను లియోనెల్ మెస్సీ కోసం అంకితం చేశారు.

In this exciting match, the Singareni RR-9 team won 4–0. When Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who joined the RR-9 team midway through the match, scored the fourth goal, the fans erupted in cheers. Rahul Gandhi, present as a guest, watched the match from the gallery throughout.
