ఉద్యమ కాలంలో ఉస్మానియా, కాకతీయ విశ్వవిద్యాలయ విద్యార్థినీ విద్యార్థులు ఆకాంక్షించిన స్వేచ్ఛ, సామాజిక న్యాయం, సమాన అవకాశాల కల్పన కోసం ప్రభుత్వం కట్టుబడి పని చేస్తుందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు స్పష్టం చేశారు. చారిత్రాత్మక ఉస్మానియా విశ్వవిద్యాలయానికి గత వైభవం తీసుకురావడంతో పాటు అంతర్జాతీయ ప్రమాణాలకు అనుగుణంగా తీర్చిదిద్దాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని చెప్పారు.
ఉద్యమాల పురిటిగడ్డ ఉస్మానియా యూనివర్సిటీలోని ఆర్ట్స్ కాలేజీ ఎదురుగా విద్యార్థినీ, విద్యార్థులు, అధ్యాపకులతో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన సమావేశంలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు పాల్గొని ప్రసంగించారు.
విశ్వవిద్యాలయ అభివృద్ధికి వెయ్యి కోట్ల రూపాయలు మంజూరు చేస్తూ జారీ అయిన ఉత్తర్వులను విడుదల చేశారు. విశ్వవిద్యాలయ అభివృద్ధికి సిద్ధం చేసిన మాస్టర్ ప్లాన్, డిజైన్లను విద్యార్థుల సూచనల కోసం రూపొందించిన క్యూఆర్ కోడ్ ను విడుదల చేశారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు మాట్లాడుతూ.. 108 సంవత్సరాల చరిత్ర కలిగి దేశంలోనే అత్యంత పురాతన యూనివర్సిటీల్లో 7 వ స్థానం, దక్షిణ భారత దేశంలో 3 వ ప్రాధాన్యత కలిగిన ఉస్మానియా యూనివర్సిటీ అలనాటి స్ఫూర్తితో భవిష్యత్తుకు ప్రణాళికలు రూపొందించుకునే క్రమంలో అందరినీ కలవాలని వచ్చానని చెప్పారు.
“గుండె నిండా అభిమానంతో యూనివర్సిటీకి వచ్చా. ఆర్ట్స్ కాలేజీ ముందు నిలబడి విశ్వవిద్యాలయ అభివృద్దికి భవిష్యత్తు ప్రణాళికలు రచించడానికి వచ్చాను. ఈ విశ్వవిద్యాలయాన్ని అంతర్జాతీయ ప్రమాణాలకు అనుగుణంగా తీర్చిదిద్దాలన్న సంకల్పంతో ఇక్కడికి వచ్చా.
సమాజానికి ఏ సమస్య వచ్చినా యూనివర్సిటీ విద్యార్థులు కదలడం వల్లే ఆ సమస్యకు పరిష్కారం లభించింది. అందులో తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమం కూడా. ఉద్యమాలతో విద్యార్థులు ఏమీ ఆశించలేదు. వారు స్వేచ్ఛను, సామాజిక న్యాయం, సమాన అవకాశాలు కావాలని అడిగారు.
యూనివర్సిటీని కాలగర్భంలో కలపడానికి కొందరు కుట్రలు పన్నారు. ఉస్మానియా ప్రపంచానికి దిక్సూచిలా గొప్పగా ఎదగాలన్నది నా సంకల్పం. విద్య ఒక్కటే అందరి జీవితాల్లో వెలుగులు నింపుతుంది. వెనుకబాటు నుంచి బయటపడేస్తుంది. ఆత్మగౌరవం పెరుగుతుంది. తల్లిదండ్రుల్లో ఆనందం నింపుతుంది.
చదువుకుని భవిష్యత్తును నిర్మించుకోవాలి. సమస్యలొచ్చినప్పుడు నిటారుగా నిలబడి కొట్లాడండి. ప్రపంచాన్ని నడిపించగలరని నిరూపించాలి. నిబద్ధతతో కృషి చేయండి. ఇక్కడున్న వారిలోనే రేపు ఇలాంటి వేదిక నుంచి మాట్లాడే అవకాశం రావొచ్చు. మీలో కొందరు నాయకులై రాష్ట్రాన్ని పాలించాలని కోరుకుంటున్నా.
డాక్టర్ బీఆర్ అంబేద్కర్ గారు చెప్పినట్టు అభివృద్ధి అంటే అద్దాల మేడలు, రంగుల గోడలు కాదు. నిజమైన సంక్షేమం పేద వాడికి చేరాలి. సామాజిక సమస్యలపై శాశ్వత పరిష్కారం కావాలని మేం ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నాం.
ప్రతి బడిలో వినిపించాల్సిన ‘జయ జయహే తెలంగాణ..’ గీతం గత పదేళ్లుగా తొక్కి పెడితే ప్రజా ప్రభుత్వం అధికారంలోకి వచ్చిన తర్వాత దాన్ని రాష్ట్ర గీతంగా మార్చాం. బహుజనుల తెలంగాణ తల్లిని ఆవిష్కరించాం.
30-40 ఏళ్లుగా రగిలిన వర్గీకరణ అంశం దళిత బిడ్డల మధ్య విభజన రేఖను గీసింది. దేశంలో ఏ రాష్ట్రం కూడా ఈ సమస్యను పరిష్కరించాలన్న ఆలోచన చేయలేదు. ఈ సామాజిక సమస్యను పరిష్కరించిన మొట్టమొదటి రాష్ట్రం తెలంగాణ.
గడిచిన వందేళ్లుగా ఈ దేశంలో బలహీన వర్గాల లెక్కలు లేవు. ప్రభుత్వం ఆలోచన చేసి సామాజిక, ఆర్థిక, విద్య, ఉద్యోగ కుల రాజకీయ గణన పూర్తి చేశాం. తద్వారా కేంద్రంపై ఒత్తిడి పెరిగి 2026 లో చేపట్టే జన గణననలో ఆ అంశాన్ని చేర్చారు.
దళితులు, ఆదివాసీలు, గిరిజనులు. బడుగు బలహీన వర్గాలు, రైతులు, మహిళలు నిండుమనసుతో ఆశీర్వదిస్తేనే ఈ స్థాయిలో ఉన్నా. ఇలాంటి అవకాశం ఏ ఒక్కరికో వస్తుంది. అందుకే చరిత్రలో శాశ్వతంగా నిలిచిపోయేలా ఏదైనా చేయాలన్న సంకల్పం నాలో ఉంది.
మనకు విద్య అందుబాటులో ఉంది కానీ నాణ్యమైన విద్య అందకపోవడమే సమస్య. నైపుణ్యం కలిగిన విద్యను అందించాల్సిన అవసరం ఉంది. ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీ, బీసీ, మైనారిటీ పేరుతో వేర్వేరుగా పాఠశాల నిర్వహణ వల్ల వివక్ష ఎలా రూపుమాపగలం.
అందుకే ఆలోచన చేసి విద్యార్థులంతా ఒకే క్యాంపస్ లో చదువుకోవాలన్న లక్ష్యంగా మహాత్మాగాంధీ గారి స్ఫూర్తితో యంగ్ ఇండియా ఇంటిగ్రేటెడ్ రెసిడెన్షియల్ స్కూల్స్ చేపట్టాం.
విద్య కోసం పెట్టే ఖర్చు భవిష్యత్తరాల కోసం పెట్టుబడిగా చూస్తున్నాం. పిల్లల్లో నైపుణ్యాన్ని వెలికి తీయాల్సిన అవసరం ఉంది. పరిశోధనల్లో ఇబ్బంది పడొద్దు. ప్రపంచంతో పోటీ పడాలి. ఆత్మస్థయిర్యం కోల్పోవద్దు. నాలెడ్జ్ వేరు, కమ్యునికేషన్ వేరు. నాలెడ్జ్, కమిట్మెంట్, కన్విక్షన్ దేశంలో ఏ స్థాయికి ఎదగడానికైనా ఉపయోగపడుతుంది.
యూనివర్సిటీలో నియామకాలు, నిర్ణయాల్లో ఎవరి పైరవీలు ఉండవు. రాజకీయ జోక్యం ఉండదు. పైరవీ చేసే వారి ఉద్యోగం తీసేద్దాం. స్వతంత్రంగా నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకోండి. పిల్లల జీవితంతో ఆటలాడే హక్కు ఎవరికీ లేదు. కావలసిన సహకారం అందించే బాధ్యత మాది” అని చెప్పారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో మంత్రులు పొన్నం ప్రభాకర్ గారు, అడ్లూరి లక్ష్మణ్ కుమార్ గారు, ప్రణాళికా సంఘం ఉపాధ్యక్షుడు చిన్నారెడ్డి గారు, సలహాదారులు కేశవ రావు గారు, వేం నరేందర్ రెడ్డి గారు, నగర మేయర్ గద్వాల విజయలక్ష్మి గారు, ఉస్మానియా యూనివర్సిటీ వైస్ చాన్సలర్ ప్రొఫెసర్ కుమార్ ములుగరం గారు, ఆర్ట్స్ కాలేజీ ప్రిన్సిపల్ కాశీం గారు, ప్రజా ప్రతినిధులు, పలు విశ్వవిద్యాలయాల వైస్ చాన్సలర్లు, అధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to ensuring freedom, social justice, and equal opportunities, which students of Osmania and Kakatiya Universities have aspired for during various movements. He emphasized the need to restore the historic Osmania University to its past glory and align it with international standards.
Participating in a program at the Arts College of Osmania University in Puritigadda, the Chief Minister addressed students and faculty, highlighting the university’s 108-year legacy as the 7th oldest in India and the 3rd most prominent in South India.
Orders were issued for Rs 1,000 crore to support the university’s development. A QR code was released for students to access the master plan and designs for the campus transformation.
CM Revanth Reddy said he visited the university with a heart full of affection to lay down future plans, emphasizing that education alone can uplift society, eradicate backwardness, and foster self-esteem. He recalled that Osmania University students have historically been at the forefront of social movements, including the Telangana movement, always asking only for freedom, social justice, and equal opportunities.
He reiterated that there will be no political interference in university development or staff appointments. Students were urged to study diligently, develop their skills, and prepare to lead the state and the nation.
The Chief Minister also highlighted government initiatives, including the establishment of Young India Integrated Residential Schools, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi, for inclusive education. He emphasized the need for quality and skilled education for all students and shared that the government completed the first-ever social, economic, educational, employment, caste, and political census for weaker sections in Telangana.
CM Revanth Reddy also spoke about cultural and social milestones, such as making ‘Jaya Jayahe Telangana’ the official state anthem and unveiling Telangana Thalli, representing the spirit and identity of Telangana. He underlined that these initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to social justice and inclusive development.
