ప్రపంచంలోనే బలమైన ఆర్థిక శక్తి కలిగిన దేశంగా భారత్ ఎదగాలన్న లక్ష్యాన్ని చేరుకోవడంలో తెలంగాణ కూడా భాగస్వామ్యం కావాలని బలంగా ఆకాంక్షిస్తున్న నేపథ్యంలో కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం నుంచి రాష్ట్రానికి సంపూర్ణ సహకారం, మద్దతు కావాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు.
హైదరాబాద్ లో జరిగిన తెలంగాణ, గుజరాత్, మహారాష్ట్ర, ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్, గోవా రాష్ట్రాలు, కేంద్ర పాలిత ప్రాంతాలైన దాద్రా నగర్ హవేలీ, డామన్ అండ్ డ్యూల పట్టణాభివృద్ధి శాఖల మంత్రుల ప్రాంతీయ సదస్సును కేంద్ర మంత్రి శ్రీ మనోహర్ లాల్ ఖట్టర్ గారు ముఖ్య అతిథిగా హాజరై ప్రారంభించారు.
ఈ సదస్సులో ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు మాట్లాడుతూ, దేశం స్వాతంత్య్రం సాధించి వంద సంవత్సరాల పూర్తి చేసుకునే 2047 నాటికి ప్రపంచంలోనే ఒక గొప్ప దేశంగా, ఆర్థికంగా అభివృద్ధి చెందిన దేశంగా ముందుకు నడిపించాలని ప్రధానమంత్రి శ్రీ నరేంద్ర మోదీ గారు సంకల్పించిన వికసిత్ భారత్ లక్ష్యాలకు తమ వంతుగా భాగస్వామ్యం కావడానికి తెలంగాణ ప్రణాళికా బద్ధంగా ముందుకు వెళుతోందని చెప్పారు.
“దేశం ప్రగతిలో మెట్రోపాలిటన్ నగరాలు ఎన్నో రకాలుగా తోడ్పాటునందిస్తున్నాయి. దేశంలో వ్యవసాయ రంగంతో పాటు పట్టణీకరణ కూడా చాలా ముఖ్యమైన అంశం. ప్రత్యేకించి మెట్రోపాలిటన్ సిటీల కోసం కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం ప్రత్యేకమైన పాలసీని తీసుకురావాలి.
బలమైన ఆర్థిక శక్తి కలిగిన దేశంగా ఎదగడంలో 10 శాతం మేరకు తెలంగాణ నుంచి దోహదపడాలని నిర్దేశించాం. ఆ లక్ష్యాల సాధన కోసం తెలంగాణ రైజింగ్ 2047 బృహత్ ప్రణాళికతో ముందుకు వెళుతున్నాం. డిసెంబర్ 9 వ తేదీన ఆ విజన్ డాక్యుమెంట్ ను ప్రజలకు అంకితం చేయబోతున్నాం.
2034 నాటికి 1 ట్రిలియన్ డాలర్ల ఆర్థిక శక్తిగా, 2047 నాటికి 3 ట్రిలియన్ డాలర్ల ఆర్థిక శక్తిగా తెలంగాణ ఎదగాలని నిర్దేశించుకున్నాం. ఆ లక్ష్యాల సాధన కోసం రాష్ట్రం తలపెట్టిన ప్రాజెక్టులకు కేంద్రం అనుమతులు మంజూరు చేస్తే మరింత వేగంగా ముందుకు వెళ్లగలం.
హైదరాబాద్ నగరానికి ప్రత్యేకత ఉంది. మిశ్రమ సంస్కృతి, మంచి వాతావరణం కలిగి ఉంటుంది. డాక్టర్ బీఆర్ అంబేద్కర్ గారు హైదరాబాద్ ను రెండో రాజధాని చేయాలన్నారు. ఇప్పుడా ప్రస్తావన విషయానికి వెళ్లను కానీ, అభివృద్ధి విషయంలో తెలంగాణకు కేంద్రం సహకారం, మద్దతు ఉండాలి.
ప్రధానంగా మెట్రో విస్తరణ, మూసీ నది ప్రక్షాళన, నగరానికి గోదావరి జలాల తరలింపు, కాలుష్య నివారణలో భాగంగా ప్రస్తుతం నగరంలో డీజిల్ తో నడుస్తున్న 3 వేల బస్సుల స్థానంలో ఎలక్ట్రిక్ వాహనాలను ప్రవేశపెట్టడం, ట్రాఫిక్ సమస్యల పరిష్కారం, సివరేజీ ట్రీట్మెంట్ ప్లాంట్లు వంటి అనేక ప్రాజెక్టులు చేపట్టాం.
దేశంలో ఏర్పడిన జీసీసీల్లో 70 శాతం హైదరాబాద్ లో నెలకొల్పాయి. జీసీసీలు, డేటా సెంటర్లు, ఐటీ, ఫార్మా రంగాల్లో హైదరాబాద్ నగరం ఒక హబ్ గా మారింది. వీటికి అనుగుణంగా ఇప్పుడు 30 వేల ఎకరాల్లో భారత్ ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీ నిర్మిస్తున్నాం. హైదరాబాద్ ను న్యూయార్క్, సింగపూర్, దుబాయ్ లాంటి నగరాలతో పోటీ పడాలని భావిస్తున్నాం.
పెట్టుబడుల కోసం చైనా ప్లస్ 1 గమ్యస్థానాల కోసం దేశాలు అన్వేషిస్తున్న దశలో మెట్రోపాలిటన్ నగరాల్లో ఎయిర్ పోర్టులు, విద్యుత్, నీటి వసతి వంటి మౌలిక సదుపాయాలు కల్పించాల్సిన అవసరం ఉంది. కేంద్ర మంత్రి కట్టర్ గారికి ముఖ్యమంత్రి గా చేసిన అనుభవం ఉంది. ముఖ్యమంత్రులకు ఎలాంటి కష్టాలుంటాయో వారికి ప్రత్యేకంగా తెలుసు. అందుకని రాష్ట్రాలను ప్రోత్సహించాల్సిన బాధ్యత ఉంది.
దేశ ప్రధానమంత్రి రాష్ట్రాల ముఖ్యమంత్రులకు బడా భాయ్ లాంటి వారే. మెట్రో, మూసీ రివర్ ఫ్రంట్, రీజినల్ రింగ్ రోడ్డు, రేడియల్ రోడ్లు, తాగునీటి సమస్య, కాలుష్య నియంత్రణ వంటి అనేక విషయాలపై దృష్టిని సారించి రాష్ట్రానికి సహకరించాలి.
రాజకీయాలు చేయాల్సిన సమయంలో రాజకీయాలు మాట్లాడొచ్చు. రాజకీయాలు ఇప్పుడు అసందర్భం. గడిచిన మూడు దశాబ్దాల కాలంలో ప్రభుత్వాలు వేరైనప్పటికీ విధానాలను అమలు చేయడంలో మార్పులేదు. కాకపోతే వాటిని మరింత పదును పెట్టి అమలు చేయడం జరిగింది.” అని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు చెప్పారు.
పట్టణాభివృద్ధి విషయంలో ఏ విధంగా ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్లాలన్న అంశంపై పలు రాష్ట్రాల పట్టణాభివృద్ధి మంత్రిత్వ శాఖల సమావేశం హైదరాబాద్ లో ఏర్పాటు చేసినందుకు కేంద్ర మంత్రి కట్టర్ గారికి అభినందనలు తెలియజేశారు.
ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారి విజ్ఞప్తులపై కేంద్ర మంత్రి ఖట్టర్ గారు సానుకూలంగా స్పదించారు. హైదరాబాద్ మెట్రో విస్తరణ, మూసీ పునరుజ్జీవ ప్రాజెక్టులకు కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం అతి త్వరలోనే అనుమతులు మంజూరు చేస్తుందని హామీ ఇచ్చారు.

The Regional Conference of Urban Development Ministers from Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, and the Union Territories of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu was inaugurated in Hyderabad by Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Shri Manohar Lal Khattar as the chief guest.
Addressing the conference, the Chief Minister stated that Telangana is progressing in a planned manner to actively participate in Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat – a developed India that emerges as a strong and economically advanced nation by 2047, marking the centenary of India’s independence.
“Metropolitan cities play a pivotal role in the nation’s progress. Alongside agriculture, urbanization is a critical driver of growth. The Central Government should formulate a dedicated policy framework specifically for metropolitan cities.
We have set an ambitious target for Telangana to contribute 10% toward making India a robust economic power. To achieve this, we are advancing with the Telangana Rising 2047 master plan, and we will present this vision document to the people on December 9.
Our goal is for Telangana to become a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047. With timely approvals and support from the Centre for the projects we have initiated, we can accelerate this journey significantly.
Hyderabad is a unique city with a rich blend of cultures and a conducive environment. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar had envisioned Hyderabad as the second capital of India. While I will not delve deeper into that topic now, the Centre’s cooperation remains essential for Telangana’s overall development.
Key initiatives include metro expansion, the rejuvenation of the Musi River, diversion of Godavari water to the city, promotion of electric vehicles by replacing 3,000 diesel buses, traffic decongestion measures, and establishment of sewage treatment plants as part of our pollution-control efforts.
Around 70% of the Global Capability Centres (GCCs) established in India are located in Hyderabad, making the city a leading hub for GCCs, data centres, IT, and pharmaceuticals. Building on this strength, we are developing Future City Bharat on 30,000 acres, with the ambition of enabling Hyderabad to compete with global cities such as New York, Singapore, and Dubai.
As the world explores ‘China Plus One’ investment destinations, it is imperative to provide world-class infrastructure – airports, reliable power, and water supply – in our metropolitan regions. Union Minister Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, having served as a Chief Minister himself, understands the challenges faced by state leaders and can play a vital role in encouraging and supporting the states.
The Prime Minister is like an elder brother to all Chief Ministers. We look forward to the Centre’s active cooperation on critical projects such as metro expansion, Musi Riverfront development, Regional Ring Road, radial roads, drinking water supply, and pollution control.
Politics has its place when we discuss politics, but it is irrelevant in matters of development. Over the past three decades, irrespective of changes in government, there has been continuity and even greater resolve in implementing progressive policies,” the Chief Minister remarked.
The Chief Minister congratulated Union Minister Shri Manohar Lal Khattar for convening this important regional meeting in Hyderabad to deliberate on the way forward for urban development across states.
Union Minister Shri Manohar Lal Khattar responded positively to the Chief Minister’s requests and gave a clear assurance that the Central Government will expedite approvals for the Hyderabad Metro expansion and Musi River rejuvenation projects at the earliest.
