రాష్ట్రంలో ఎకో టూరిజం అభివృద్ధిపై దృష్టి సారించాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు. సింగపూర్ వంటి దేశాల్లో 30 ఎకరాల్లోనే నైట్ సఫారీలు ఉన్నాయని, మనకు భారీ విస్తీర్ణాల్లో అటవీ ప్రాంతాలు.. అందులోనే నదులు, జలపాతాలు ఉన్నందున ఆ వనరులను సద్వినియోగం చేసే ప్రణాళికలు రూపొందించాలని సూచించారు.
అటవీ శాఖపై కమాండ్ కంట్రోల్ సెంటర్ (ICCC) లో మంత్రి కొండా సురేఖ గారితో కలిసి ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు సమీక్ష నిర్వహించి పలు ఆదేశాలు జారీ చేశారు.
అమ్రాబాద్, కవ్వాల్ టైగర్ రిజర్వ్ ఫారెస్టులున్నా తెలంగాణ వాసులు ఇతర రాష్ట్రాల్లోని బందీపూర్, తడోబా వంటి ప్రాంతాలకు పులుల సందర్శనకు వెళుతున్నారు. అమ్రాబాద్, కవ్వాల్ టైగర్ రిజర్వ్ ఫారెస్టులకు సందర్శకుల సంఖ్య పెంచేలా సౌకర్యాలు కల్పించాలి.
అటవీ, రెవెన్యూ శాఖల మధ్య భూ వివాదాల పరిష్కారానికి కలెక్టర్లు ప్రత్యేక శ్రద్ధ వహించి సంయుక్త సర్వే చేపట్టాలి. వరంగల్ కాకతీయ జూ అభివృద్ధికి ప్రణాళికలు రూపొందించాలి. హైదరాబాద్ తర్వాత రాష్ట్రంలో పెద్ద నగరమైన వరంగల్లో జూ ను ప్రభుత్వ-ప్రైవేటు భాగస్వామ్యంతో అభివృద్ధి చేసేందుకు ఉన్న అవకాశాలపై అధ్యయనం చేయాలి.
అటవీ జంతువుల దాడిలో మృతిచెందిన లేదా గాయపడిన వారికి, పశువులు, పెంపుడు జంతువులు కోల్పోయిన వారికి తక్షణమే పరిహారం అందేలా చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలి. అందుకు సీఎంఆర్ఎఫ్ నుంచి అవసరమైన మేరకు నిధులు వినియోగించుకోవాలి.
అటవీ శాఖ పరిధిలో చేపడుతున్న రహదారులు, ఇతర అభివృద్ధి పనులకు అవసరమైన అనుమతుల విషయంలో అటవీ శాఖ, ఆయా పనులు చేపడుతున్న శాఖల అధికారులు సమన్వయంతో పని చేయాలి. కేంద్ర అటవీ, పర్యావరణ శాఖ నుంచి అనుమతులను సాధ్యమైనంత త్వరగా సాధించాలి.
అడవుల్లో వన్య ప్రాణుల సంరక్షణ, వాటి కదలికలను గమనించేందుకు ఏర్పాటు చేసిన కెమెరాలన్నింటిని కమాండ్ కంట్రోల్ సెంటర్ కు అనుసంధానించాలి. అటవీ శాఖలో అధికారుల కొరతను దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకుని రాష్ట్రానికి తగిన సంఖ్యలో ఐఎఫ్ఎస్ అధికారుల కేటాయింపుపై కేంద్రంతో సంప్రదించాలి.
అటవీ శాఖలో ప్రమోషన్లు, ఉద్యోగాల భర్తీకి సంబంధించిన ప్రతిపాదనలను తక్షణమే సిద్ధం చేయాలి. శాఖలో ఉత్తమ పని తీరు కనబరిచే వారికి అవార్డులను ఇచ్చే ప్రక్రియను పునరుద్ధరించాలి. ఈ సమావేశంలో అటవీ శాఖ ఉన్నతాధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A Revanth Reddy has directed officials to prioritize the development of eco-tourism in Telangana. He stated that countries like Singapore have established night safaris in just 30 acres, and with Telangana’s vast forest resources, rivers, and waterfalls, there is immense potential to create world-class eco-tourism destinations.
The Chief Minister, along with Minister Konda Surekha, reviewed the situation at the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) of the Forest Department and issued several instructions.
He noted that despite having the Amrabad and Kawwal Tiger Reserves, many Telangana residents travel to Bandipur and Tadoba in other states to view tigers. He stressed the need to develop facilities to attract more visitors to Amrabad and Kawwal.
Collectors were instructed to give priority to resolving land disputes between the Forest and Revenue Departments through joint surveys. Plans should also be prepared for the development of the Warangal Kakatiya Zoo, including studying the feasibility of establishing a new zoo in Warangal—Telangana’s largest city after Hyderabad—through public-private partnerships.
The Chief Minister ordered prompt compensation for people who lose their lives, suffer injuries, or lose livestock and pets due to wild animal attacks. Funds from the CMRF should be used for this purpose when needed.
The Forest Department and other departments should coordinate closely on granting necessary permissions for road and development works within forest areas. Permissions from the Central Forest and Environment Ministry should be obtained at the earliest.
All cameras installed in forests to track wildlife movements should be connected to the ICCC. Considering the shortage of officers in the Forest Department, the State will consult the Centre to secure an appropriate number of IFS officers.
Proposals for promotions and recruitment in the Forest Department should be prepared immediately. The process of awarding recognition to officials for exemplary work should be reinstated. Senior officers of the Forest Department were present in the meeting.
