తెలంగాణలో గిగ్ వర్కర్ల సంక్షేమం కోసం ప్రతిపాదిత పాలసీపై ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు ఉన్నతస్థాయి సమావేశంలో సమీక్షించారు. గిగ్ వర్కర్లకు ప్రత్యేకంగా ఒక సంక్షేమ నిధిని ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని, వారికి ప్రమాద బీమా, ఆరోగ్య బీమా సౌకర్యాలను కల్పించే విధంగా పాలసీ ఉండాలని అధికారులకు సూచించారు.
ప్రతిపాదిత పాలసీపై ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు మంత్రి వివేక్ వెంకటస్వామి గారితో కలిసి ఉన్నతస్థాయి సమావేశంలో సమీక్షించారు. పాలసీ గురించి అధికారులు వివరించినప్పుడు ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు పలు సూచనలు చేశారు.
గిగ్ వర్కర్ల కోసం సంక్షేమ బోర్డు ఏర్పాటు చేయడంతో పాటు ఆ బోర్డుకు ప్రభుత్వ ప్రాతినిథ్యం వహించేలా ప్రతిపాదనలు తయారు చేయాలన్నారు. గిగ్ కార్మికులకు సంబంధించిన పూర్తి డేటా ఆన్ లైన్ లో ఉండేలా చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని సూచించారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy held a high-level meeting to review the proposed policy for the welfare of gig workers in Telangana. During the meeting, held in the presence of Minister Shri Vivek Venkataswamy, officials presented the draft policy, following which the Chief Minister offered several key suggestions.
He proposed the establishment of a dedicated welfare fund for gig workers, along with provisions for accident and health insurance. The Chief Minister also recommended the formation of a welfare board with government representation to ensure effective implementation and monitoring. Further, he stressed the need for maintaining comprehensive digital records of all gig workers in the state.
