తెలంగాణను కోర్ అర్బన్, సెమీ అర్బన్, రూరల్గా.. మూడు ప్రాంతాలుగా విభజించి రాష్ట్రం సమ్మిళిత, సమగ్రాభివృద్ధి సాధించడానికి సంబంధించిన విజన్ డాక్యుమెంట్ను డిసెంబర్ 9 వ తేదీలోపు విడుదల చేయనున్నట్టు ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు ప్రకటించారు. హైదరాబాద్ను ప్రపంచ శ్రేణి నగరంగా తీర్చిదిద్దడంలో ప్రభుత్వం ప్రణాళికాబద్ధంగా చేపడుతున్న కార్యక్రమాలకు ప్రజలందరి సహకారం ఉండాలని విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు.
గచ్చిబౌలి కూడలిలో ఆరు లేన్లతో నిర్మించిన దివంగత పి జనార్ధన్ రెడ్డి ఫ్లైఓవర్ను ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు ప్రారంభించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా మాట్లాడుతూ, తెలంగాణను మూడు ప్రాంతాలుగా.. ఓఆర్ఆర్ లోపలి భాగంలో కోర్ అర్బన్గా, ఓఆర్ఆర్ అవతలి నుంచి రీజినల్ రింగ్ రోడ్డు వరకు సెమీ-అర్బన్గా, రీజినల్ రింగ్ రోడ్డు అవతలి భాగంలో గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతంగా విభజించి, ప్రాంతాల వారిగా ప్రణాళికా బద్ధమైన అభివృద్ధితో ముందుకు వెళతాం.
ఓఆర్ఆర్ ఆవలివైపున 30 వేల ఎకరాల్లో ప్రపంచ శ్రేణి భారత్ ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీని ప్రతిపాదించాం. ఇందులో క్రీడలు, ఆర్టిఫీషియల్ ఇంటెలిజెన్స్, ఐటీ, నాన్-పొల్యూటెడ్ ఫార్మా రంగాలను అభివృద్ధి పరుస్తాం. ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీలో పచ్చదనం కోసం దాదాపు 15 వేల ఎకరాల్లో పార్కులను, మిగతా ప్రాంతంలో మౌలిక సదుపాయాలను కల్పిస్తాం.
వాయు కాలుష్యంతో ఢిల్లీ, విపరీతమైన ట్రాఫిక్ సమస్యలతో బెంగుళూరు, వర్షాలొస్తే వరదలతో చెన్నై నగరాలు అతలాకుతమవుతున్న పరిస్థితుల నుంచి పాఠాలు నేర్చుకోవలసిన అవసరం ఉంది. హైదరాబాద్ను ప్రపంచ శ్రేణి నగరంగా తీర్చిదిద్దాలని సంకల్పంతో పనిచేస్తున్నాం.
నగరంలో కాలుష్యం నివారించాలన్న లక్ష్యంతోనే ఎలక్ట్రిక్ వాహనాలపై రిజిస్ట్రేషన్ పన్నులను పూర్తిగా రద్దు చేశాం. జంట నగరాల్లో తిరుగుతున్న 3 వేల ఆర్టీసీ బస్సులను ఓఆర్ఆర్ బయటి ప్రాంతాలకు తరలించి వాటి స్థానంలో వచ్చే ఏడాది లోపు 3 వేల ఎలక్ట్రిక్ వాహనాలను అందుబాటులోకి తెస్తున్నాం.
కాలుష్యాన్ని తగ్గించాలన్న ఉద్దేశంతో అనేక విధాలుగా పనిచేస్తున్నాం. నాలాలు, చెరువులు కబ్జాలు చేశారు. నీరుండాల్సిన చోట అపార్ట్మెంట్లు వెలువడంతో నీరు రోడ్లపైకి వస్తోంది. అందుకే నాలాలు, చెరువుల ఆక్రమణలను తొలగించే కార్యక్రమాన్ని చేపట్టాం.
దీన్ని కొందరు రాజకీయం చేసి అభివృద్ధిని అడ్డుకోవాలని చూస్తున్నారు. అభివృద్ధిలో అందరూ కలిసి రావాలి. ఆ మధ్య కాలంలో ఎన్-కన్వెన్షన్ కూల్చివేసిన సందర్భంగా సినీనటుడు నాగార్జున గారు ముందుకొచ్చి 2 ఎకరాల స్థలాన్ని ప్రభుత్వానికి అప్పగించి చెరువును అభివృద్ధి పరచడానికి సహకరిస్తామని చెప్పారు. కబ్జాలకు గురైన బతుకమ్మ కుంట 6 ఎకరాలను కాపాడగలిగాం.
జంట నగరాల అభివృద్ధికి దివంగత పీజేఆర్ గారు అందించిన సేవలు ప్రజల్లో చిరస్మరణీయంగా గుర్తుండిపోతాయి. 1.2 కోట్ల జంట నగరాల ప్రజల దాహార్తి తీరిందంటే అది పీజేఆర్ గారి నాయకత్వంలో జరిగిన పోరాటాల ఫలితమే. అలాంటి పీజేఆర్ పేరును ఫ్లైఓవర్కు పెట్టుకోవడం ఎంతో సముచితం.
గూగుల్, మైక్రోసాఫ్ట్ లాంటి ప్రపంచంలోనే ఫార్చూన్ 500 కంపెనీల్లో 85 కంపెనీలు హైదరాబాద్ నుంచి పనిచేస్తున్నాయి. లక్షలాది మంది యువకులకు ఉద్యోగ, ఉపాధి అవకాశాలు దక్కాయి. లక్షలాది మందికి ఉపాధి కల్పించాలన్న సంకల్పంతోనే 2.8 లక్షల కోట్ల విదేశీ పెట్టుబడులను సాధించాం.
ఈ నగరాన్ని మరింత గొప్ప నగరంగా తీర్చిదిద్దాలి. ప్రజలు అభివృద్ధిని కోరుకుంటున్నారు. ప్రభుత్వం రూపొందించిన ప్రణాళికలను ప్రజల్లోకి తీసుకెళ్లాల్సిన అవసరం ఉంది. 2028 వరకు రాజకీయాలను పక్కన పెడుతాం. అభివృద్ధికి అందరూ సహకరించాలి.

ఈ ఫ్లైఓవర్కు దివంగత పీజేఆర్ ఫ్లైఓవర్గా నామకరణం చేసినందుకు వారి కుమార్తె విజయారెడ్డి గారితో పాటు కుటుంబ సభ్యులు ఈ సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారిని కలిసి కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలియజేశారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy inaugurated the six-lane Late P Janardhan Reddy Flyover at Gachibowli Junction and announced the government’s comprehensive vision for the balanced and integrated development of Telangana.
As part of this initiative, the state will be divided into three development zones — Core Urban (areas within the Outer Ring Road), Semi-Urban (areas between the ORR and the Regional Ring Road), and Rural (areas beyond the RRR). The detailed vision document for this regional model of development will be released by December 9. The Chief Minister appealed to the people of Telangana to support the government’s efforts in transforming Hyderabad into a world-class city through planned and sustainable development.
He revealed that a 30,000-acre Bharat Future City is being proposed beyond the ORR as a model for future urban growth. This new city will be home to advanced sectors such as sports, artificial intelligence, information technology, and non-polluting pharmaceutical industries. Notably, 15,000 acres within this futuristic township will be allocated exclusively for greenery and parks to ensure environmental sustainability. Infrastructure and modern amenities will be developed in the remaining area, creating a harmonious balance between development and ecology.
The Chief Minister underlined the importance of learning from the problems faced by other major Indian cities. He pointed out how Delhi is struggling with severe air pollution, Bangalore with intense traffic congestion, and Chennai with frequent flooding during monsoons. Hyderabad, he said, must not go down the same path. To prevent such urban challenges, the government is acting with foresight and determination.
As part of efforts to reduce pollution and promote clean energy, the Telangana government has abolished registration tax on electric vehicles. In addition, 3,000 diesel RTC buses currently operating in the twin cities will be shifted to areas outside the ORR, and will be replaced by 3,000 electric buses by next year. The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s strong commitment to creating a cleaner and healthier urban environment through proactive initiatives.
He also addressed the issue of urban flooding and drainage blockages, highlighting the rampant encroachments on lakes, canals, and ponds. The Chief Minister noted that apartments have come up in places where water bodies once existed, leading to water flowing onto city roads during rains. To tackle this, the government has launched a dedicated program to clear all illegal constructions on water bodies and restore the city’s natural drainage system.
Responding to some attempts to politicize these initiatives, the Chief Minister said that development should rise above politics. He called upon all stakeholders to come together in the interest of Telangana’s future. Referring to the demolition of the N-Convention Centre, the Chief Minister appreciated film star Nagarjuna for voluntarily offering two acres of land to help rejuvenate Bathukamma Kunta. With this contribution, the government successfully recovered six acres of the encroached water body.
Paying tribute to the late P. Janardhan Reddy, the Chief Minister said that his dedicated service to the twin cities will be remembered by generations. He recalled that the struggles led by PJR resulted in the supply of safe drinking water to over 1.2 crore people in Hyderabad. Naming the newly inaugurated flyover after PJR is a meaningful and respectful recognition of his legacy.
Highlighting Hyderabad’s economic strength, the Chief Minister said that 85 of the world’s Fortune 500 companies, including global giants like Google and Microsoft, are currently operating from the city. Through proactive investment promotion and development-friendly policies, the state has attracted ₹2.8 lakh crore in foreign investments, generating lakhs of employment opportunities for the youth of Telangana.
He firmly stated that politics will be kept aside until 2028, as the focus of his government is entirely on development. The people of Telangana aspire for progress, and the government is committed to delivering on that vision. He called upon all citizens to support and participate in this journey of transformation.

On this occasion, the late PJR’s daughter Vijaya Reddy and family members met the Chief Minister and expressed their heartfelt gratitude for naming the flyover in PJR’s memory.
