వ్యాక్సిన్ తయారీలో ప్రపంచ రాజధానిగా ఉన్న హైదరాబాద్ను జీవవైజ్ఞానిక రాజధానిగా ఎదిగేందుకు భాగస్వాములు కావాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు బయోఏషియా-2026 సదస్సు వేదికగా జీవవిజ్ఞాన రంగానికి చెందిన ప్రపంచ దిగ్గజ కంపెనీలు, శాస్త్రవేత్తలు, నిపుణులకు పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
తెలంగాణ దేశంలోని మిగతా రాష్ట్రాలతో కాకుండా ప్రపంచంలోని అగ్రగామి క్లస్టర్లతో పోటీ పడుతోందని, ఇప్పటికే గ్లోబల్ కేపబిలిటీ సెంటర్లకు ప్రధాన గమ్యస్థానంగా మారిన హైదరాబాద్ను ఇప్పుడు అందరం కలిసి సమగ్ర జీవవిజ్ఞాన రంగానికి ప్రపంచ కేంద్రంగా తీర్చిదిద్దుదామని కోరారు.
హైదరాబాద్ హైటెక్స్లో ప్రతిష్ఠాత్మకమైన 23వ బయో ఏషియా (BioAsia 2026) అంతర్జాతీయ సదస్సును ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు పరిశ్రమల శాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీ దుద్దిళ్ల శ్రీధర్ బాబు గారితో కలిసి ప్రారంభించారు.
ప్రధానంగా ‘టెక్బయో అన్లీష్డ్ – ఏఐ, ఆటోమేషన్, జీవశాస్త్ర రంగంలో వస్తున్న విప్లవాత్మక పరిణామాలు’ ఇతివృత్తంగా నిర్వహిస్తున్న ఈ ప్రపంచస్థాయి సదస్సులో ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు మాట్లాడుతూ, తెలంగాణలో పెట్టుబడులకు ప్రభుత్వం సంపూర్ణ మద్దతు ఉంటుందని స్పష్టం చేశారు.
“ప్రపంచ వ్యాక్సిన్ రాజధానిగా ఉన్న స్థితి నుంచి ప్రపంచ జీవవైజ్ఞానిక రాజధానిగా హైదరాబాద్ ఎదుగుతుంది. అందుకు తెలంగాణ ఉంది. తెలంగాణ అంటే వ్యాపారం. తెలంగాణ ఎదుగుతోంది. ఈ ఎదుగుదలలో భాగస్వాములు కావాలి” అని పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
“జీవవైజ్ఞానిక రంగంలో ప్రస్తుతం వస్తున్న ఆధునిక మార్పులను గమనిస్తే, పరిశోధన సంస్థలు, కార్పొరేట్లు, స్టార్టప్లు, చిన్న మధ్య తరహా సంస్థలు, ప్రభుత్వం మధ్య బలమైన భాగస్వామ్యం అవసరం ఉంది. ఆయా సంస్థలు, కార్పొరేట్లు విశ్వసనీయమైన, స్థిరమైన, భవిష్యత్తు కోసం మంచి వాతావరణాన్ని కోరుకుంటున్నారు.
ఆ వాతావరణాన్ని తెలంగాణ అందిస్తుంది. అందుకు హైదరాబాద్ అనుకూలమైంది. బల్క్డ్రగ్స్ నుండి బయాలజిక్స్ వరకు, తయారీ నుండి ఆవిష్కరణ వరకు, భారతదేశం నుండి ప్రపంచస్థాయి వరకు తెలంగాణ ముందుకు సాగుతోంది.
తెలంగాణలో పెట్టుబడులు పెట్టండి. GCC లను స్థాపించండి. ఆవిష్కరణ కేంద్రాలను నిర్మించండి. మాలిక్యూల్స్ , ఔషధాలను డిజైన్, క్లినికల్ అనలిటిక్స్ను ప్రారంభించండి. AI ప్లాట్ఫామ్లను, డిజిటల్ తయారీ రంగాలను ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్లండి. అందుకు ప్రభుత్వం, యంత్రాంగం, శాస్త్రవేత్తలు, నైపుణ్యంతో కూడిన యువత మీ విజయంలో భాగస్వాములుగా ఉంటారు.
23 ఏళ్ల కిందట బయోఏషియా ప్రారంభమైనప్పుడు హైదరాబాద్ అంటే చార్మినార్, బిర్యానీ, ఔషధ తయారీ, సాఫ్ట్ వేర్ నగరంగా గుర్తింపు ఉండేది. ఇప్పుడు హైదరాబాద్ ప్రపంచ వ్యాక్సిన్ తయారీ కేంద్రంగా కూడా నిలిచింది.
దూరదృష్టి కలిగిన నాయకత్వం, స్పష్టమైన విధానాలు, నైపుణ్యంతో కూడిన మానవ వనరులు, ప్రతిష్టాత్మకమైన విద్యా సంస్థలు ఉండటం వల్ల హైదరాబాద్ గ్లోబల్ కేపబిలిటీ సెంటర్లకు, పరిశోధన, డిజైన్ రంగాల్లో ప్రపంచ కేంద్రంగా ఎదిగింది.
తెలంగాణలో గడిచిన రెండేళ్లలో జీవవిజ్ఞాన రంగంలో రూ. 73 వేల కోట్లకు పైగా పెట్టుబడులు వచ్చాయి. ఇటీవల దావోస్లో జరిగిన ప్రపంచ ఆర్థిక సదస్సు సందర్భంగా తెలంగాణ నూతన లైఫ్ సైన్సెస్ పాలసీని ప్రకటించాం. జినోమ్ వ్యాలీని విస్తరించాం. అలాగే, ప్రపంచ స్థాయి పరిశోధనలు, ఆవిష్కరణల కోసం వన్-బయోను ప్రారంభించాం.
జీవవైజ్ఞానిక రంగంపై మా ఆలోచనలను తెలంగాణతో పాటు మీ అందరితో పంచుకుంటున్నాను. ఇటీవలే మేం “తెలంగాణ రైజింగ్ 2047” విజన్ను ఆవిష్కరించాం. తెలంగాణ 2034 నాటికి 1 ట్రిలియన్ డాలర్ల ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థగా, 2047 నాటికి 3 ట్రిలియన్ డాలర్ల ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థగా ఎదగాలన్నది మా లక్ష్యం.
గ్రీన్ ఫార్మా సిటీ అభివృద్ధిని వేగవంతం చేస్తూ అనేక గ్లోబల్ కేపబిలిటీ సెంటర్లను ఆహ్వానించాం. ఒక బలమైన సంకల్పంతో ఈ పురోగతిని సాధించాం. అందుకు ప్రత్యక్ష నిదర్శనమే బయోఏషియా-2026 సదస్సు.
ఇప్పుడు బయోఏషియా తన పరిధిని విస్తరించుకుని “బయోవరల్డ్”గా మారుతోంది. ఈ సదస్సుకు ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా 500 ప్రముఖ సంస్థలు, దాదాపు 4 వేల మందికి పైగా ప్రతినిధులు హాజరయ్యారు. ఫార్మా, బయోసైన్సెస్, బయోటెక్, బల్క్ డ్రగ్స్, వ్యాక్సిన్లు, హెల్త్కేర్ రంగాల్లో ప్రముఖులు, బిజినెస్ లీడర్స్ సదస్సులో పాల్గొన్నారు.
హైదరాబాద్ లో లో జరుగుతున్న ఈ BioAsia సదస్సు దావోస్లో జరిగే ప్రపంచ ఆర్థిక వేదిక (World Economic Forum) లాంటి అంతర్జాతీయ గుర్తింపు పొందుతుందన్న విశ్వాసం నాకుంది” అని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు పేర్కొంటూ, ప్రపంచ నలుమూలల నుంచి బయోఏషియా సదస్సుకు హాజరైన ప్రతినిధులకు స్వాగతం పలికారు.
ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారి చేతుల మీదుగా పెన్సిల్వేనియా యూనివర్సిటీ స్కూల్ ఆఫ్ మెడిసన్ ప్రొఫెసర్ బ్రూస్ ఎల్ లెవిన్ గారికి జినోమ్ వ్యాలీ ఎక్సలెన్స్ అవార్డు-2026 అందించారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy has called upon the world’s leading companies, scientists, and experts in the bioscience sector to partner with Hyderabad—the world’s vaccine manufacturing capital—to develop it into a global bioscience hub.
Telangana is competing not just with other Indian states but with the world’s leading clusters. He urged everyone to work together to make Hyderabad, already a major destination for global capability centers, a global hub for comprehensive bioscience.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the prestigious 23rd BioAsia (BioAsia 2026) International Conference at Hyderabad HITEX, along with Industries Minister Shri Duddilla Sridhar Babu.
Speaking at this global conference, organized under the theme “TechBio Unleashed – Revolutionary Developments in AI, Automation, and Biology,” he emphasized that the government will fully support investments in Telangana.
“Hyderabad will grow from being the world’s vaccine capital to the world’s biotechnology capital. Telangana is ready for that. Telangana means business. Telangana is growing. We need partners in this growth,” he said.
“Given the modern changes in the bioscience sector, a strong partnership is needed between research institutes, corporates, startups, small and medium enterprises, and the government. These institutions seek a reliable, stable, and future-ready environment.
Telangana provides that environment, and Hyderabad is well-suited for it. From bulk drugs to biologics, from manufacturing to innovation, and from India to the world, Telangana is moving forward.
Invest in Telangana. Establish GCCs. Build innovation centers. Develop molecules, drug design, and clinical analytics. Advance AI platforms and digital manufacturing. The government, administrative machinery, scientists, and skilled youth will be partners in your success.
When BioAsia started 23 years ago, Hyderabad was known for the Charminar, biryani, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and software. Today, it has also become the world’s vaccine manufacturing hub.
Visionary leadership, clear policies, skilled human resources, and prestigious educational institutions have made Hyderabad a global hub for capability centers, research, and design excellence.
In the past two years, Telangana has attracted over Rs. 73,000 crore in life sciences investments. At the World Economic Forum in Davos, the state unveiled a new Telangana Life Sciences Policy, expanded Genome Valley, and launched One-Bio for world-class research and innovation.
“We are sharing our vision for the life sciences sector with stakeholders globally. Recently, we unveiled the ‘Telangana Rising 2047’ vision, aiming to make Telangana a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047,” he added.
Several global capability centers have been invited to accelerate the development of Green Pharma City. This progress reflects strong determination, and the BioAsia-2026 conference stands as a direct testament to it.
BioAsia is now expanding its scope and evolving into “Bioworld”. Over 500 leading organizations and nearly 4,000 delegates from across the globe attended, including prominent figures and business leaders in pharma, biosciences, biotech, bulk drugs, vaccines, and healthcare.
“I am confident that this BioAsia conference in Hyderabad will gain international recognition similar to the World Economic Forum in Davos,” said the Chief Minister, welcoming delegates from around the world.
The Chief Minister presented the Genome Valley Excellence Award-2026 to Professor Bruce L. Levine of the School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania.
