మూసీ పునరుజ్జీవన ప్రాజెక్టులో భాగంగా ఈసా – మూసీ నదుల సంగమ స్థలిలో ప్రపంచస్థాయి విద్యా సాంస్కృతిక, ఆధ్యాత్మిక, పర్యావరణ కేంద్రంగా నిర్మించనున్నగాంధీ సరోవర్ ప్రాజెక్టు శంకుస్థాపన కార్యక్రమానికి రక్షణ శాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీ రాజ్నాథ్ సింగ్ గారిని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు ఆహ్వానించారు.
ఢిల్లీ పర్యటన సందర్భంగా కేంద్ర మంత్రితో సౌత్ బ్లాక్లోని వారి కార్యాలయంలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు భేటీ అయ్యారు. సుస్థిర పట్టణాభివృద్ధి లక్ష్యాలతో పర్యావరణ హితంగా, స్వచ్ఛమైన నీటితో నది ప్రవహించేలా మూసీ పునరుజ్జీవన ప్రాజెక్టును చేపడుతున్నట్లు కేంద్రమంత్రి గారికి వివరించారు.
అందులో భాగంగానే ఈసా – మూసీ నదుల సంగమ స్థలిలో 1948లో జాతిపిత మహత్మా గాంధీ చితభస్మాన్ని నిమజ్జనం చేసిన బాపూ ఘాట్ వద్ద గాంధీ సరోవర్ ప్రాజెక్టు చేపడుతున్నట్లు ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు తెలియజేశారు.
గాంధీజీ ఆశయాలైన శాంతి, ఐక్యత, సుస్థిరాభివృద్ధి, నిరాడంబర జీవనశైలిని ప్రతిబంబించేలా గాంధీ సరోవర్ ప్రాజెక్టును నిర్మించనున్నట్లు తెలిపారు. గాంధీ సరోవర్ ప్రాజెక్టును ప్రపంచస్థాయి విద్యా, సాంస్కృతిక, ఆధ్యాత్మక, పర్యావరణ కేంద్రంగా నిలుపుతామని రాజ్ నాథ్ సింగ్ గారికి ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు తెలియజేశారు. గాంధీ సరోవర్ ప్రాజెక్టులో శాంతి చిహ్నం, జాతీయ మ్యూజియం, విజ్ఞాన కేంద్రం, చేనేత ప్రోత్సాహక కేంద్రం ఏర్పాటు చేస్తామన్నారు.
గాంధీ సరోవర్ ప్రాజెక్టుకు ఫిబ్రవరి నెలాఖరులో చేసే శంకుస్థాపన, భూమి పూజ కార్యక్రమానికి హాజరుకావాలని కేంద్ర మంత్రిని కోరారు. ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారి వెంట ఎంపీలు అనిల్ కుమార్ యాదవ్ గారు, డాక్టర్ మల్లు రవి గారు, సురేశ్ షెట్కార్ గారు, డాక్టర్ కడియం కావ్య గారు, గడ్డం వంశీ కృష్ణ గారున్నారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy has invited Hon’ble Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh to the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Gandhi Sarovar Project, which is being developed as a world-class educational, cultural, spiritual, and environmental center at the confluence of the Isa and Musi rivers, under the Musi Rejuvenation Initiative.
During his visit to Delhi, the Chief Minister met the Union Minister at South Block and briefed him on the project, highlighting that it is being undertaken in an environmentally sustainable manner to ensure clean water flow, urban rejuvenation, and long-term ecological balance.
Shri Revanth Reddy explained that the project is planned at Bapu Ghat, where a portion of Mahatma Gandhi’s ashes was immersed in 1948. The Gandhi Sarovar Project will reflect Gandhiji’s ideals of peace, unity, simplicity, and sustainable development. It will feature a peace symbol, national museum, knowledge center, and handloom promotion hub, making it a world-class tribute to the Father of the Nation.
The Chief Minister requested the Union Minister to grace the foundation stone laying and ground-breaking ceremony, scheduled for the end of February. He was accompanied by MPs Anil Kumar Yadav, Dr. Mallu Ravi, Suresh Shetkar, Dr. Kadiam Kavya, and Gaddam Vamsi Krishna.
