వరల్డ్ ఎకనమిక్ ఫోరమ్‌కు చెందిన ఫోర్త్ ఇండస్ట్రియల్ రివల్యూషన్ మేనేజింగ్ డైరెక్టర్ జెరెమీ జర్గెన్స్ గారు, ఫోరం డిజిటల్ ఎకానమీ స్ట్రాటజీ హెడ్ మంజు జార్జ్ గారితో సమావేశమైంది.

ప్రతి ఏటా దావోస్‌లో జరిగే ప్రపంచ ఆర్థిక సదస్సు అనంతరం, దానికి ఫాలోఅప్‌గా హైదరాబాద్‌లో జూలై – ఆగస్టు నెలల్లో సమావేశం నిర్వహిస్తామని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు సదస్సు ప్రతినిధుల ముందు ప్రతిపాదించారు. ప్రపంచ ఆర్థిక సదస్సులోని తెలంగాణ పెవిలియన్‌లో ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారి నేతృత్వంలోని తెలంగాణ రైజింగ్‌ ప్రతినిధి బృందం వరల్డ్ ఎకనమిక్ ఫోరమ్‌కు చెందిన ఫోర్త్ ఇండస్ట్రియల్ రివల్యూషన్ మేనేజింగ్ డైరెక్టర్ జెరెమీ జర్గెన్స్ గారు, ఫోరం డిజిటల్ ఎకానమీ స్ట్రాటజీ హెడ్ మంజు జార్జ్ గారితో సమావేశమైంది.

తెలంగాణలో పారిశ్రామిక ప్రగతికి ఉన్న సానుకూల అవకాశాలు, అనుకూల వాతావరణం, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం అందిస్తున్న ప్రోత్సాహకాలు, విధానాలను ప్రపంచానికి చూపించాలన్న ఆలోచనలను ఈ సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు పంచుకున్నారు. అందుకు అనుగుణంగా హైదరాబాద్‌లో తదుపరి చర్యలపై సమావేశం నిర్వహించి సమీక్షించడం ద్వారా పరస్పర సమన్వయం మరింత పెరుగుతుందని చెప్పారు.

జూలై – ఆగస్టు నెలల్లో ఫాలోఅప్‌ సమావేశం నిర్వహించాలన్న ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారి ప్రతిపాదనపై ఫోరం ప్రతినిధులు సానుకూలంగా స్పందించారు. దావోస్ సదస్సులో జరిగిన చర్చలు, తీసుకున్న నిర్ణయాల పురోగతిని సమీక్షించుకునేందుకు ఫాలోఅప్ సమావేశం ఎంతో ఉపకరిస్తుందని అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు.

ఆ విషయంలో సమీప భవిష్యత్తులో నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంటామని జెరెమీ జర్గెన్స్ గారు చెప్పారు. చైనాలో ప్రతి ఏడాది ‘సమ్మర్ దావోస్’ జరుగుతోందని, అలాగే సౌదీ అరేబియా కూడా ఆసక్తి ప్రదర్శిస్తోందని తెలిపారు.

తెలంగాణ రైజింగ్ 2047 విజన్, 3 ట్రిలియన్ డాలర్ల ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థగా తీర్చిదిద్దే రోడ్‌మ్యాప్, లక్ష్యాలను ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు సమావేశంలో సమగ్రంగా వివరించారు. తెలంగాణ విజన్ లక్ష్యాలు పరస్పర సహకారానికి అవకాశం కల్పించేలా ఉన్నాయని జెరెమీ జర్గెన్స్ గారు ప్రశంసించారు. తెలంగాణ రైజింగ్ 2047 విజన్‌లో తాము భాగస్వామ్యం పంచుకుంటామని తెలిపారు.

హైదరాబాద్‌లో జరిగిన బయోఆసియా 2024 సందర్భంగా ప్రారంభించిన C4IR తెలంగాణ పురోగతిపై ఈ సమావేశంలో చర్చలు జరిగాయి. ఆరోగ్యం, లైఫ్ సైన్సెస్ రంగాలకు సంబంధించి వరల్డ్ ఎకనమిక్ ఫోరమ్ భారత్‌లో ప్రారంభించిన తొలి థీమాటిక్ సెంటర్ అదేనని గుర్తు చేశారు.

మంత్రి శ్రీధర్ బాబు గారు మాట్లాడుతూ, తెలంగాణ రైజింగ్ విజన్‌లో భాగంగా రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం అమలు చేస్తున్న మూడు జోన్ల నమూనాను వివరించారు. CURE, PURE, RARE ఆర్థిక అభివృద్ధి వ్యూహంతో పాటు భారత్ ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీ ఏర్పాటును వివరించారు. ఇది నెట్-జీరో గ్రీన్‌ఫీల్డ్ స్మార్ట్ సిటీ ప్రాజెక్టుగా, దేశంలో సుస్థిర అభివృద్ధికి రోల్ మోడల్ సిటీగా నిలుస్తుందని తెలిపారు.

సమావేశంలో పాల్గొన్న మంత్రి పొంగులేటి శ్రీనివాస రెడ్డి గారు మాట్లాడుతూ, ఏరోస్పేస్, డిఫెన్స్, బయో-డిజైన్, సాఫ్ట్‌వేర్, ఫార్మా రంగాల్లో హైదరాబాద్‌కు ఉన్న అనుకూలతలను వివరించారు. ఎలక్ట్రిక్ వాహనాలు, పునరుత్పాదక ఇంధనంపై ప్రభుత్వం ప్రత్యేక దృష్టి సారించిందన్నారు.

Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy proposed to the representatives of the World Economic Forum that a follow-up meeting be organised in Hyderabad during July–August, following the annual WEF meeting held in Davos. At the Telangana Pavilion during the World Economic Forum, the Telangana Rising delegation, led by the Chief Minister, held discussions with Mr Jeremy Jurgens, Managing Director of the World Economic Forum’s Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR), and Ms Manju George, Head of Digital Economy Strategy at the Forum.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister shared his vision of showcasing Telangana’s investor-friendly ecosystem to the global community, highlighting the state’s conducive industrial environment, progressive policies, and incentives. He stated that hosting a follow-up meeting in Hyderabad would help review next steps and further strengthen coordination between stakeholders.

The World Economic Forum representatives responded positively to the proposal and observed that a follow-up meeting would be useful in reviewing the progress of discussions and decisions taken at the Davos summit.

Mr Jeremy Jurgens stated that a decision on the proposal would be taken in the near future. He noted that a ‘Summer Davos’ is held annually in China and that Saudi Arabia has also expressed interest in hosting similar engagements.

The Chief Minister elaborated on the Telangana Rising 2047 vision, outlining the roadmap and targets aimed at transforming Telangana into a $3 trillion economy. Mr Jurgens appreciated the clarity and ambition of the Telangana Vision, stating that it presents strong opportunities for mutual collaboration, and expressed the Forum’s commitment to engaging with the Telangana Rising 2047 initiative.

The meeting also reviewed the progress of C4IR Telangana, launched during BioAsia 2024 in Hyderabad. It was noted that this is the first thematic centre established by the World Economic Forum in India in the health and life sciences sector.

Minister Sridhar Babu explained the three-zone development model being implemented under the Telangana Rising vision, detailing the CURE, PURE, and RARE economic strategy, along with the development of Bharat Future City. He stated that Bharat Future City will be a net-zero greenfield smart city and a national model for sustainable urban development.

Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy highlighted Hyderabad’s strengths in aerospace, defence, bio-design, software, and pharmaceuticals. He added that the state government is placing special emphasis on electric mobility and renewable energy sectors.
