హైదరాబాద్కు ఇండియన్ ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్ ఆఫ్ మేనేజ్మెంట్ (IIM) మంజూరు చేయాలని కేంద్ర విద్యా శాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీ ధర్మేంద్ర ప్రధాన్ (Union Minister of Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan) గారిని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. టెక్నాలజీ, లైఫ్ సైన్సెస్, ఏరో స్పేస్, డిఫెన్స్, లాజిస్టిక్స్, అడ్వాన్స్డ్ మాన్యుఫ్యాక్చరింగ్ రంగాల్లో ముందున్న హైదరాబాద్లో ఐఐఎం ఏర్పాటు చేయాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని తెలిపారు.
ఢిల్లీ పర్యటనలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు కేంద్ర మంత్రి శ్రీ ధర్మేంద్ర ప్రధాన్ గారితో పార్లమెంట్లోని ఛాంబర్లో భేటీ అయ్యారు. దేశంలో 19 రాష్ట్రాల్లో, 1 కేంద్ర పాలిత ప్రాంతంలో కలిపి 21 ఐఐఎంలు ఉన్నాయని, తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రంలోనూ ఐఐఎం ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని కోరారు.
ఐఐఎం ఏర్పాటుకు అవసరమైన 200 ఎకరాల భూమిని యూనివర్సిటీ ఆఫ్ హైదరాబాద్ ప్రాంగణంలో గుర్తించిన విషయాన్ని తెలిపారు. ఐఐఎం తరగతులు వెంటనే ప్రారంభించేందుకు ట్రాన్సిట్ క్యాంపస్ సిద్ధంగా ఉందని కూడా చెప్పారు. అందుకు అవసరమైన అనుమతులు వెంటనే మంజూరు చేయడంతో పాటు అవసరమైన వసతులు కల్పనకు ప్రభుత్వం సిద్ధంగా ఉన్నట్లు తెలిపారు.
దేశంలోని అన్ని ప్రాంతాలకు రాకపోకలు సాగించేందుకు వీలుగా హైదరాబాద్ కు ఎయిర్, రైల్, రోడ్ కనెక్టివిటీ ఉందని, అనుకూల వాతావరణం, భిన్న రంగాల ప్రముఖులను అందజేసిన చరిత్ర హైదరాబాద్కు ఉందన్నారు.
తెలంగాణలో పెరిగిన జిల్లాల సంఖ్యకు అనుగుణంగా నూతనంగా 9 కేంద్రీయ విద్యాలయాలు, 16 జవహర్ నవోదయ విద్యాలయాలను మంజూరు చేయాలని విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. పెరుగుతున్న పట్టణీకరణ, గ్రామీణ ప్రాంత విద్యార్థులకు నాణ్యమైన విద్య అందించేందుకు కేంద్రీయ విద్యాలయాలు, జవహర్ నవోదయ విద్యాలయాల ఏర్పాటు అవసరం ఉందని చెప్పారు.
కొమురం భీం ఆసిఫాబాద్, జయశంకర్ భూపాలపల్లి, కామారెడ్డి, జోగులాంబ గద్వాల, నారాయణపేట, నాగర్కర్నూల్, సూర్యాపేట, వికారాబాద్, నిర్మల్ జిల్లాల్లో కేంద్రీయ విద్యాలయాలు, హనుమకొండ, జనగాం, జయశంకర్ భూపాలపల్లి, జోగులాంబ గద్వాల, మహబూబాబాద్, మేడ్చల్ మల్కాజిగిరి, మెదక్, ములుగు, నారాయణపేట, పెద్దపల్లి, రాజన్న సిరిసిల్ల, వికారాబాద్, వనపర్తి, యాదాద్రి భువనగిరి, నిర్మల్, ఆదిలాబాద్ జిల్లాలో జవహర్ నవోదయ విద్యాలయాలు వెంటనే ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని కోరారు.
కేంద్రీయ విద్యాలయాలు, జవహర్ నవోదయ విద్యాలయాల ఏర్పాటుకు అవసరమైన స్థలం, ఇతర వసతులు కల్పించడానికి తాము సిద్ధంగా తెలిపారు.
ఈ సమావేశంలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారితో పాటు ఢిల్లీలో తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ ప్రత్యేక ప్రతినిధి ఏపీ జితేందర్ రెడ్డి గారు, ఎంపీలు అనిల్ కుమార్ యాదవ్ గారు, డాక్టర్ మల్లు రవి గారు, చామల కిరణ్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి గారు పాల్గొన్నారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy requested the Hon’ble Union Minister of Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, to consider the sanction of an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) for Hyderabad. He highlighted Hyderabad’s position as a leading hub for technology, life sciences, aerospace, defence, logistics, and advanced manufacturing, underscoring the relevance of establishing an IIM in the city.
During his visit to New Delhi, the Chief Minister met Union Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan in the Parliament chambers. He noted that while 21 IIMs are functioning across 19 states and one Union Territory, Telangana is yet to be allocated an IIM, and sought favourable consideration for the state.
The Chief Minister informed the Union Minister that 200 acres of land required for the proposed IIM has been identified within the University of Hyderabad campus. He stated that a transit campus is ready to commence academic activities immediately and assured that the state government would extend all necessary approvals and institutional support in a timely manner.
Highlighting the advantages of Hyderabad, the Chief Minister pointed to the city’s excellent air, rail, and road connectivity, its strong academic and innovation ecosystem, and its long-standing record of producing accomplished professionals across diverse fields.
The Chief Minister also sought the sanction of nine new Kendriya Vidyalayas and sixteen Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, in line with the increase in the number of districts in Telangana. He emphasized the need to expand access to quality education, particularly in rural and newly formed districts.
The Chief Minister requested the immediate establishment of Kendriya Vidyalayas in Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Kamareddy, Jogulamba Gadwal, Narayanpet, Nagarkurnool, Suryapet, Vikarabad, and Nirmal districts, and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Jogulamba Gadwal, Mahabubabad, Medchal–Malkajgiri, Medak, Mulugu, Narayanpet, Peddapalli, Rajanna Sircilla, Vikarabad, Wanaparthy, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Nirmal, and Adilabad districts.
The Chief Minister assured that the Telangana government is prepared to provide the required land and extend all necessary facilities for the establishment of Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas.
The meeting was attended by the Telangana State Government’s Special Representative in New Delhi, Shri A.P. Jitender Reddy, and Members of Parliament Shri Anil Kumar Yadav, Dr. Mallu Ravi, and Shri Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, along with the Chief Minister.
