ఆసియాలోని అతిపెద్ద గిరిజన సంప్రదాయ శ్రీ సమ్మక్క సారలమ్మ మేడారం జాతరను ప్రతిష్టాత్మకంగా నిర్వహించాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు స్పష్టం చేశారు. అందుకు అనుగుణంగా మేడారం అభివృద్ధి ప్రణాళికలపై క్షేత్రస్థాయిలో సమ్మక్క సారలమ్మ పూజారులను సంప్రదించి వారి సూచనల మేరకు డిజైన్లను విడుదల చేయాలని నిర్ణయించారు.
మేడారం అభివృద్ధి ప్రణాళికపై ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు కమాండ్ కంట్రోల్ సెంటర్లో మంత్రులు కొండా సురేఖ గారు, పొంగులేటి శ్రీనివాసరెడ్డి గారు, ధనసరి అనసూయ సీతక్క గారు, అడ్లూరి లక్ష్మణ్ కుమార్ గారు, లోక్ సభ సభ్యుడు పోరిక బలరాం నాయక్ గారు, సలహదారు వేం నరేందర్ రెడ్డి గారితో పాటు ఉన్నతాధికారులతో సమీక్షించారు.
మేడారంలో జాతర అభివృద్ధి పనులు ఎట్టి పరిస్థితుల్లోనూ గిరిజన సంప్రదాయాలకు భంగం కలగకుండా ఉండాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు స్పష్టం చేశారు. సమ్మక్క సారలమ్మ పూజారులను సంప్రదించడంతో పాటు క్షేత్రస్థాయిలో పరిశీలన కోసం ఈ నెల 23 న మేడారం సందర్శించాలని ఈ సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు నిర్ణయించారు.
పూజారుల ఆమోదంతో అభివృద్ధికి సంబంధించిన డిజైన్లను విడుదల చేయాలని చెప్పారు. జాతర అభివృద్ధి పనులకు సంబంధిత టెక్నికల్ కమిటీని ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని ఆధికారులను ఆదేశించారు. పూజారులు కోరిన విధంగా ప్రస్తుతం ఉన్న ఆలయ ఆవరణను మరింత విస్తరించాలని అన్నారు.
అమ్మవార్ల గద్దెలను యథాతథంగా ఉంచి సంప్రదాయాలను తూచా తప్పకుండా గౌరవించాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు ఆదేశించారు. గిరిజన సంప్రదాయం ఉట్టిపడేలా స్వాగత తోరణం డిజైన్లు ఉండాలని చెప్పారు.
ఆలయం పరిసర ప్రాంతాల్లో స్థానిక సంప్రదాయ వృక్షాలు ఉండే విధంగా చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని చెప్పారు. అభివృద్ధి ప్రణాళికపై ఈ నెల 23 న మేడారంలోనే మంత్రులు, గిరిజన ఎంపీలు, ఎమ్మెల్సీలు, ఎమ్మెల్యేలు, అధికారులతో ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు సమీక్షించనున్నారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy has emphasized that the largest tribal congregation in Asia, the Sri Sammakka–Saralamma Medaram Jatara, should be organized with utmost prestige. Accordingly, it has been decided to consult the Sammakka–Saralamma priests at the field level on the Medaram development plans, release the designs based on their suggestions, and the Chief Minister will personally visit Medaram on the 23rd of this month.
The Chief Minister reviewed the Medaram development plan at the Command Control Center along with Ministers Konda Surekha, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, Dhanasari Anasuya Seethakka, Adluri Laxman Kumar, Loksabha MP Porika Balaram Naik, Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, and senior officials.
He made it clear that the development works at Medaram should in no way disturb tribal traditions. He further decided to consult the priests and personally visit Medaram on the 23rd of this month for a field inspection.
The Chief Minister directed that development designs be released only with the approval of the priests. He instructed officials to constitute a technical committee for the Jatara development works and also expand the existing temple premises as requested by the priests.
Stressing the importance of preserving heritage, the Chief Minister ordered that the Ammavarla Gadde remain intact and traditions be respected without compromise. He further suggested that the welcome arches be designed to reflect tribal culture.
He also instructed that local traditional trees be planted in the temple surroundings. On the 23rd of this month, the Chief Minister will hold a detailed review in Medaram itself with ministers, tribal MPs, MLCs, MLAs, and officials.
