హైదరాబాద్ మెట్రో ఫేజ్-IIకు ఆమోదం తెలపాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ ఎ. రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు కేంద్ర పట్టణ వ్యవహారాల శాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీ మనోహర్లాల్ ఖట్టర్ గారికి విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. ఏడు కారిడార్లతో కూడిన మెట్రో ఫేజ్-II సమగ్ర ప్రణాళికను రూపొందించి డీపీఆర్ను ఇప్పటికే సమర్పించామని తెలిపారు.
ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు ఢిల్లీలో కేంద్ర మంత్రి ఖట్టర్ గారితో సమావేశమయ్యారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా హైదరాబాద్ మెట్రో ఫేజ్ -II, మెట్రో ఫేజ్ -III పై చర్చించారు. వేగంగా అభివృద్ధి చెందుతున్న హైదరాబాద్ నగరంలో ప్రయాణికుల సౌకర్యార్ధం మెట్రోను మరింతగా విస్తరించాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని చెప్పారు.
హైదరాబాద్ మెట్రో రైలు ఫేజ్ -II, ఫేజ్ -III విస్తరణ సజావుగా సాగాలనే ఉద్దేశ్యంతోనే మెట్రో ఫేజ్-Iను L&T MRHL ను రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం స్వాధీనం చేసుకుందని వివరించారు. ప్రస్తుతం ఫేజ్-I ప్రభుత్వం పరిధిలో ఉండడంతో ఫేజ్-II, ఫేజ్-III విస్తరణ సులుభమవుతుందని చెప్పారు.
మెట్రో రైలు నెట్వర్క్ను విస్తరించేందుకు రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం ఫేజ్ -IIలో ఏడు కారిడార్లతో మొత్తం 122.9 కిలోమీటర్ల మేర విస్తరణకు, ₹ 38,595 కోట్ల అంచనా వ్యయంతో రూపొందించిన సమగ్ర డీపీఆర్ను ఇప్పటికే సమర్పించిన విషయాన్ని గుర్తుచేశారు.
హైదరాబాద్ మెట్రో రైలు ఫేజ్ -II ప్రాజెక్ట్ను భారత ప్రభుత్వం – తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వాల జాయింట్ వెంచర్గా చేపట్టేందుకు త్వరగా ఆమోదం తెలపాలని కేంద్ర మంత్రి గారిని విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. హైదరాబాద్ నగర భవిష్యత్ అవసరాల దృష్ట్యా ఆర్జీఐ ఎయిర్పోర్ట్ – భారత్ ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీ కారిడార్ను మెట్రో ఫేజ్ -IIIగా చేపట్టాలని కోరారు. మెట్రో ఫేజ్-III కి సంబంధించిన డీపీఆర్ను కూడా ఇప్పటికే సమర్పించామని తెలిపారు.
సమావేశంలో కేంద్ర గృహనిర్మాణ, పట్టణ వ్యవహారాల శాఖ కార్యదర్శి కె. శ్రీనివాస్ గారు, ముఖ్యమంత్రి ప్రత్యేక కార్యదర్శి బి.అజిత్ రెడ్డి గారు, హెచ్ఎంఆర్ఎల్ ఎండీ సర్ఫరాజ్ అహ్మద్ గారు, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ సలహాదారు (పట్టణ రవాణా) ఎన్.వి.ఎస్.రెడ్డి గారు, ఢిల్లీ తెలంగాణ భవన్ ప్రత్యేకాధికారి సంజయ్ కుమార్ గారు, కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ పథకాల సమన్వయ కార్యదర్శి అద్వైత్ కుమార్ సింగ్ గారితో పాటు ఇతర అధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy has requested the Hon’ble Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, to grant approval for Hyderabad Metro Phase-II. He informed the Union Minister that the state government has already submitted the Comprehensive Project Report (DPR) detailing seven strategic corridors.
During their meeting in Delhi, the Chief Minister discussed the strategic expansion of both Metro Phase-II and Phase-III. He emphasized that given Hyderabad’s rapid transformation and increasing population density, the expansion of the metro network is a vital necessity to enhance urban transit and passenger convenience.
The Chief Minister explained that the state government’s decision to take over Metro Phase-I from L&T MRHL was a strategic move to facilitate the seamless execution of Phase-II and Phase-III. With Phase-I now under government jurisdiction, the integration and expansion of the subsequent phases will be significantly more streamlined.
Highlighting the technical scope of the project, the Chief Minister noted that Phase-II involves a 122.9-kilometer expansion across seven corridors. The state government has already submitted the comprehensive DPR for this phase, which is estimated to cost ₹38,595 crores, for central government consideration.
The Chief Minister sought a swift approval for the Hyderabad Metro Phase-II project to be undertaken as a Joint Venture between the Government of India and the Government of Telangana. Furthermore, looking toward future urban growth, he requested the inclusion of the RGI Airport to Bharat Future City corridor as Phase-III, for which the DPR has also been filed.
The meeting was attended by Union Housing and Urban Affairs Secretary Shri K. Srinivas, Special Secretary to the CM Shri B. Ajith Reddy, HMRL MD Sarfaraz Ahmad, and State Advisor (Urban Transport) Shri N.V.S. Reddy. Senior officials including Sanjay Kumar and Advait Kumar Singh also participated in the deliberations.
