భారత వాయు సేన (IAF) ఆధ్వర్యంలో నిర్మించనున్న ఆదిలాబాద్ ఎయిర్పోర్ట్ను అన్ని వసతులతో అభివృద్ధి చేయాలని రక్షణ శాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీ రాజ్నాథ్ సింగ్ గారిని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ ఎ. రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు ఢిల్లీలోని రక్షణ శాఖ కార్యాలయం కర్తవ్య భవన్లో రాజ్నాథ్ సింగ్ గారితో భేటీ అయ్యారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా గాంధీ సరోవర్ ప్రాజెక్టుకు రక్షణ శాఖ భూములు బదలాయించినందుకు శ్రీ రాజ్నాథ్ సింగ్ గారికి కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలిపారు.
రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ అత్యంత ప్రాధాన్య ప్రాజెక్టుల్లో ఒకటైన ఆదిలాబాద్ ఎయిర్పోర్ట్ అభివృద్ధికి సంబంధించి భూ సేకరణ, యుటిలిటీస్ బదలాయింపు అంశాల్లో పూర్తిగా సహకరిస్తామని కేంద్ర మంత్రి గారికి తెలియజేశారు.
ఆదిలాబాద్లో భారతీయ వాయు సేన ఆధ్వర్యంలో రానున్న విమానాశ్రయం దేశ సమగ్రత, రక్షణకు సంబంధించిన అంశమైనందున, దానిని భారీగా విస్తరిస్తున్న నేపథ్యంలో రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం తరఫున అన్ని విధాలా సహకరిస్తామని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు తెలిపారు.
భారత వాయు సేన టెర్మినల్తోపాటు ప్రయాణికుల సౌకర్యార్ధం నిర్మించనున్న పౌర విమానయాన శాఖకు చెందిన టెర్మినల్ బిల్డింగ్తో పాటుగా కార్గో, ఎంఆర్వో (MRO), హ్యాంగర్ (Hangar) సదుపాయాలను పెద్ద ఎత్తున ఏర్పాటు చేసేందుకు సహకరించాలని ఈ సందర్భంగా కేంద్ర మంత్రిని కోరారు.
ఇటీవల మధ్య ఆసియాలో చోటుచేసుకున్న పరిణామాల నేపథ్యంలో ప్రపంచ ప్రసిద్ధిగాంచిన ఎయిర్లైన్స్ తమ హ్యాంగర్స్ను ఏర్పాటు చేసుకోవడానికి సరైన ప్రదేశాలను అన్వేషిస్తున్నాయని, హ్యాంగర్ ఏర్పాటుకు ఆదిలాబాద్ ఎయిర్పోర్ట్ అత్యంత అనుకూలమైనందున, ఆ దిశగా అభివృద్ధి చేయాలని విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు.
తమ కీలకమైన ప్రాజెక్టు ఏర్పాటుకు డీఆర్డీవో / డీఆర్డీఎల్ మహబూబ్నగర్ జిల్లా దేవరకద్ర సమీప ప్రదేశాన్ని ఎంపిక చేసుకున్నందున ఆ ప్రాజెక్ట్ను త్వరగా మంజూరు చేయాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు కేంద్ర మంత్రి గారిని విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. ఈ సమావేశంలో రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ ఉన్నతాధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
During a meeting with Hon’ble Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh Ji in New Delhi, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy Ji requested comprehensive development of the proposed Adilabad Airport being established under the Indian Air Force (IAF).
The Chief Minister assured full support from the Government of Telangana for land acquisition, utility relocation, and all other requirements necessary for the airport’s development. Given its strategic significance for national security and regional growth, the project is envisioned as a major aviation hub with world-class facilities.
Key proposals discussed included:
Development of a civil aviation passenger terminal alongside the IAF terminal.
Establishment of cargo infrastructure.
Creation of MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) facilities.
Development of hangar infrastructure to attract global aviation players.
With leading international airlines exploring new locations for maintenance and hangar operations, Adilabad offers significant potential to emerge as a key aviation ecosystem in India.
The Chief Minister also thanked the Defence Minister for facilitating the transfer of defence land for the Gandhi Sarovar Project and requested expeditious approval of the proposed DRDO/DRDL project near Devarakadra in Mahabubnagar district.
These initiatives reflect Telangana’s commitment to strengthening infrastructure, enhancing connectivity, attracting investment, and contributing to India’s strategic and economic growth.
