పాలమూరు-రంగారెడ్డి, గౌరవెల్లి, సీతమ్మ సాగర్, డిండి ప్రాజెక్టులకు సత్వరమే పర్యావరణ అనుమతులు మంజూరు చేయాలని కేంద్ర అటవీ, పర్యావరణ శాఖ మంత్రి భూపేందర్ యాదవ్ గారికి ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఎ. రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. ఢిల్లీ పర్యటనలో భాగంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు, రాష్ట్ర నీటి పారుదల శాఖ మంత్రి ఉత్తమ్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి గారితో కలిసి పార్లమెంట్లో కేంద్ర మంత్రి భూపేందర్ యాదవ్ గారితో సమావేశమయ్యారు.
తెలంగాణ సాగునీటి ప్రాజెక్టులకు సంబంధించి ఇటీవల సుప్రీంకోర్టు సానుకూల తీర్పు ఇచ్చిన నేపథ్యంలో, ఈ ప్రాజెక్టులకు పర్యావరణ అనుమతులను వెంటనే మంజూరు చేయాలని కేంద్ర మంత్రి గారిని కోరారు.
ఇప్పటికే రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం పాలమూరు ప్రాజెక్టుపై రూ.36,437 కోట్లు, డిండి ఎత్తిపోతలపై రూ.3,187 కోట్లు, సీతమ్మ సాగర్పై రూ.1,835 కోట్లు, గౌరవెల్లి ప్రాజెక్టుపై రూ.1,350 కోట్ల నిధులను ఖర్చు చేసిన విషయాన్ని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు గుర్తుచేశారు. అనుమతులు ఇవ్వకపోవడంతో పనులు నిలిచిపోయాయని, ఫలితంగా ప్రాజెక్టుల వ్యయం పెరుగుతోందని కేంద్ర మంత్రి గారికి వివరించారు. సుప్రీంకోర్టు తీర్పు నేపథ్యంలో ప్రాజెక్టులకు తక్షణమే అనుమతులు మంజూరు చేయాలని కోరారు.
ఈ సమావేశంలో ఎంపీలు అనిల్ కుమార్ యాదవ్ గారు, వేం నరేందర్ రెడ్డి గారు, డాక్టర్ మల్లు రవి గారు, రామసహాయం రఘురాంరెడ్డి గారు, పోరిక బలరాం నాయక్ గారు, గడ్డం వంశీకృష్ణ గారు, డాక్టర్ కడియం కావ్య గారు, ఢిల్లీలో రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ ప్రత్యేక ప్రతినిధి ఏపీ జితేందర్ రెడ్డి గారు, నీటి పారుదల శాఖ సలహాదారు ఆదిత్యనాధ్ దాస్ గారు, ఉన్నతాధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
Delhi: Environmental clearances for the Palamuru-Rangareddy, Gouravelli, Seethamma Sagar and Dindi projects should be granted at the earliest, Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy requested Hon’ble Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Sri Bhupender Yadav. During his visit to Delhi, the Chief Minister, along with State Irrigation Minister Sri N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, met the Union Minister in Parliament.
Referring to the recent Supreme Court judgment on Telangana’s irrigation projects, the Chief Minister sought immediate environmental clearances for these projects.
The Chief Minister pointed out that the State Government has already spent ₹36,437 crore on the Palamuru-Rangareddy Project, ₹3,187 crore on the Dindi Lift Irrigation Project, ₹1,835 crore on the Seethamma Sagar Project and ₹1,350 crore on the Gouravelli Project. He said delays in clearances have stalled works and increased project costs, and requested that approvals be granted without further delay.
MPs Sri Anil Kumar Yadav, Sri Vem Narender Reddy, Dr. Mallu Ravi, Sri Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy, Sri Porika Balaram Naik, Sri Gaddam Vamsi Krishna, Dr. Kadiyam Kavya, Special Representative of the Telangana Government in Delhi Sri A.P. Jitender Reddy, Irrigation Advisor Sri Adityanath Das and senior officials attended the meeting.
