రాజీవ్ గాంధీ వర్ధంతి సందర్భంగా డాక్టర్ బీఆర్ అంబేద్కర్ సచివాలయం ఎదురుగా ఉన్న ఆ మహానేత విగ్రహానికి ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు పుష్పాంజలి ఘటించారు.

మాజీ ప్రధానమంత్రి, భారతరత్న స్వర్గీయ రాజీవ్ గాంధీ గారి స్ఫూర్తితో తెలంగాణలో అభివృద్ధి, సంక్షేమ కార్యక్రమాలను ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్తున్నామని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు చెప్పారు.

✅ 21వ శతాబ్దంలో దేశాన్ని కంప్యూటర్ యుగం వైపు నడిపించి ఒక దశ, దిశ చూపించిన గొప్ప నాయకుడు రాజీవ్ గాంధీ గారని గుర్తుచేశారు. సాంకేతిక యుగం వైపు దేశ యువతను సన్నద్ధం చేసిన నాయకుడని కొనియాడారు.

✅ మహాత్మగాంధీ, ఇందిరాగాంధీ లాంటి మహానాయకుల స్ఫూర్తితో పనిచేస్తూ రాజీవ్ గాంధీ గారు దేశ సమగ్రత కోసం ప్రాణాలర్పించారని అన్నారు. టెలికాం, కంప్యూటర్ లాంటి ఆధునిక సాంకేతిక విప్లవం తేవడమే కాకుండా పరిపాలనలో మహిళలను భాగస్వామ్యం చేసినప్పుడే దేశం పురోభివృద్ధి సాధిస్తుందని భావించి స్థానిక సంస్థల్లో మహిళా రిజర్వేషన్లు కల్పించారని పేర్కొన్నారు.

✅ లోక్‌సభ, శాసనసభల్లో మహిళా రిజర్వేషన్లకు సంబంధించి ఎలాంటి చిక్కుముడులు లేకుండా పార్లమెంట్‌ ప్రత్యేక సమావేశాలు నిర్వహించి మరోసారి బిల్లును ప్రవేశపెట్టాలని ప్రధానమంత్రి గారిని కోరారు.

✅ తెలంగాణతో ఇందిరాగాంధీ కుటుంబానికి గొప్ప అనుబంధం ఉందని, ప్రత్యేక తెలంగాణ ఏర్పాటు చేయడంలో సోనియా గాంధీ గారు సాహసోపేతమైన నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నారని చెప్పారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో మంత్రి పొన్నం ప్రభాకర్ గారు, సలహాదారు వి హనుమంతరావు గారితో పాటు ఎంపీలు, ఎమ్మెల్సీలు, ఎమ్మెల్యేలు, ఇతర ప్రజాప్రతినిధులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

Drawing deep inspiration from the enduring legacy of Hon’ble former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna recipient Rajiv Gandhi, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana, Sri A. Revanth Reddy affirmed that the state government is actively driving development and welfare initiatives forward.

🔹 On the solemn occasion of Rajiv Gandhi’s death anniversary, the Chief Minister paid rich tributes by offering floral garlands at the statue of the late leader located directly opposite the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar State Secretariat. Speaking at the venue, he recalled the monumental and selfless services rendered by Rajiv Gandhi to the nation.

🔹 The Chief Minister hailed Rajiv Gandhi as a transformative leader who visionarily led India into the computer era, providing the country with a distinct sense of direction. He lauded him as the pioneering statesman who effectively equipped and prepared the nation’s youth to thrive in the modern technological age.

🔹 Operating with the profound spirit of legendary leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi ultimately sacrificed his life to safeguard the country’s integrity and sovereignty. The Chief Minister noted that beyond introducing the telecom and computer revolutions, Rajiv Gandhi firmly believed true national progress is impossible without women in governance, which led him to introduce historic reservations for women in local bodies.

🔹 Addressing current legislative matters, the Chief Minister urged the Prime Minister to immediately convene a special session of Parliament to table the women’s reservation bill anew. He demanded that the bill be passed cleanly for both the Lok Sabha and state assemblies, completely free of any complex technical complications or hidden clauses.

🔹 Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasized that Indira Gandhi’s family shares an extraordinary, deeply rooted bond with Telangana, adding that the dream of a separate state became reality solely due to the courageous decision taken by Sonia Gandhi. The commemorative event was attended by Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Government Advisor V. Hanumantha Rao, alongside several MPs, MLCs, MLAs, and other elected public representatives.
