హైదరాబాద్ మీరాలం ట్యాంక్ను ప్రముఖ పర్యాటక క్షేత్రంగా తీర్చిదిద్దే ప్రణాళికలో భాగంగా సాగుతున్న పనులను ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ ఎ. రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు ఆకస్మిక తనిఖీ చేశారు. అక్కడ సాగుతున్న పనులను ఒక్కొక్కటిగా పరిశీలించారు.
అత్యుత్తమ డిజైన్లతో పర్యాటకులను ఆకట్టుకునే విధంగా తీర్చిదిద్దాలని ఆదేశించారు. కొనసాగుతున్న పనులపై ఏర్పాటు చేసిన ఫోటో ప్రదర్శన ద్వారా అధికారులు వివరించారు. ప్రణాళికలను పూర్తిగా పరిశీలించిన తర్వాత ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు అధికారులకు పలు సూచనలు చేశారు.
నిర్దేశిత గడువులోగా పనులను పూర్తి చేయాలని ఆదేశించారు. ట్యాంక్ చుట్టూ జరుగుతున్న అభివృద్ధి పనులను ఓపెన్-టాప్ జీపులో ప్రయాణించి ఆ ప్రాంతాన్ని మొత్తంగా పరిశీలించారు. మీరాలం చెరువుపై నిర్మిస్తున్న సస్పెన్షన్ బ్రిడ్జ్ పనులను భారీ క్రేన్ సహాయంతో పైకి వెళ్లి చూశారు.
చెరువులోకి మురుగు నీరు చేరకుండా అన్ని చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు. అలాగే చెరువు నుంచి మూసీలోకి వరద నీరు వెళ్లేలా నాలాను విస్తరించాలని చెప్పారు.
పర్యాటకులు చెరువులో వాటర్ స్పోర్ట్స్ కోసం డిజైన్ చేయాలని, చెరువు మధ్యలో ఉన్న ఐలాండ్లను ఆకర్షణీయంగా తీర్చిదిద్దాలని చెప్పారు. అంతర్జాతీయ విమానాశ్రయానికి సమీపంలో ఉన్నందున మీరాలం చెరువును, పరిసర ప్రాంతాలను పర్యాటకులకు ఆకట్టుకునేలా ఏర్పాట్లు జరగాలని సూచించారు.
ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారి ఆకస్మిక పర్యటన సందర్భంగా మూసీ రివర్ఫ్రంట్ డెవలప్మెంట్ కార్పొరేషన్ ఉన్నతాధికారులు, హైదరాబాద్ మెట్రో వాటర్ వర్క్స్ ఉన్నతాధికారులు, మున్సిపల్ అధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
As part of the plan to transform Hyderabad’s Mir Alam Tank into a major tourist destination, Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy conducted a surprise inspection of the ongoing development works and reviewed the progress.
Officials explained the plans through a photo exhibition. The Chief Minister reviewed the works one by one and directed officials to use world-class designs, complete them within the stipulated deadline and make the area attractive to tourists.
Chief Minister inspected the works around the tank in an open-top jeep and went up with a heavy crane to inspect the suspension bridge.
He directed officials to prevent sewage from entering the tank and widen the nala for smooth floodwater flow into the Musi. He also suggested developing water sports facilities and beautifying the islands in the tank.
Given its proximity to the international airport, the Chief Minister directed officials to develop Mir Alam Tank and its surroundings as an attractive tourism destination. Senior officials of MRDCL, Hyderabad Metro Water Works and municipal authorities participated in the inspection.
