దేశంలోని వైద్య రంగంలో 50 శాతానికి పైగా సేవలు తెలంగాణ నుంచి అందించాలన్న లక్ష్యంగా రాష్ట్రంలోని ఆసుపత్రులు అభివృద్ధి చెందాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు అభిలషించారు. అందుకు అవసరమైన విధానపరమైన నిర్ణయాలు ప్రభుత్వం తీసుకుంటుందని హామీ ఇచ్చారు. వైద్య రంగం అభివృద్ధికి ప్రభుత్వం ఎప్పుడూ అందుబాటులో ఉంటుందని స్పష్టం చేశారు.
హైదరాబాద్ ఫైనాన్షియల్ డిస్ట్రిక్ట్లో అపోలో హాస్పిటల్ (The Hospital of Gratitude) ను మంత్రి దామోదర రాజనర్సింహ గారితో కలిసి ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు ప్రారంభించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా అపోలో వ్యవస్థాపకులు, చైర్మన్ డాక్టర్ ప్రతాప్ సి రెడ్డి గారితో పాటు యాజమాన్యాన్ని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు అభినందించారు.
“మెడికల్ టూరిజం కోసం మొన్నటివరకు ఒక పాలసీ లేదు. తమ ప్రభుత్వం ఒక పాలసీ తీసుకొచ్చింది. వైద్య రంగం అభివృద్ధికి అన్ని రకాలుగా ప్రోత్సహిస్తున్నాం. మెడికల్ టూరిజం మరింతగా వృద్ధి చెందాలని పశ్చిమాసియా దేశాలతో నేరుగా విమాన సర్వీసుల కోసం ప్రధానమంత్రి గారిని, పౌర విమానయాన శాఖ మంత్రిని కోరాం” అని ఈ సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు చెప్పారు.
“దేశంలో 50 శాతంపైగా వైద్య సౌకర్యాలు తెలంగాణ నుంచి అందాలన్న లక్ష్యంతో ఎలాంటి లోపాలు లేకుండా విధానపరమైన నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకుంటున్నాం. ఇక్కడ పెట్టుబడులకు ప్రభుత్వం పూర్తి భద్రత కల్పిస్తుంది” అని హామీ ఇచ్చారు.
“1967 లో ఇందిరాగాంధీ గారు ఇక్కడ ఐడీపీఎల్ను ఏర్పాటు చేయడంతో ఆ తర్వాత క్రమంలో హైదరాబాద్ ఫార్మా హబ్గా అవతరించింది. ఆరోజు ప్రభుత్వం తీసుకున్న విధానపరమైన నిర్ణయాల వల్ల ఫార్మా హబ్గా మారింది. ఇప్పుడు దేశం నుంచి ఎగుమతి అవుతున్న బల్క్ డ్రగ్స్లో 40 శాతం హైదరాబాద్ నుంచి అవుతున్నాయి” అని గుర్తుచేశారు.
“46 ఏళ్ల కిందట చెన్నైలో 150 పడకలతో ప్రారంభమైన అపోలో హాస్పిటల్స్ తన ప్రయాణంలో 76 వ బ్రాంచ్ను ప్రారంభిస్తున్నారు. 2028 డిసెంబర్ లోపు 100వ బ్రాంచ్ను ఏర్పాటు చేసి ప్రారంభోత్సవానికి ఆహ్వానించాలని కోరుకుంటున్నానని” ఈ సందర్భంగా అభిలషించారు.
“అపోలో హాస్పిటల్స్ దేశానికి ఒక రోల్ మాడల్గా నిలిచింది. అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయిలో ఒక బ్రాండ్. అపోలో అనే మాట సహాయం ఆశిస్తున్న కోట్లాది మంది ప్రజలకు మనసుల్లో నిలిచింది. అపోలో హాస్పిటల్స్ ఆదర్శంగా నిలిచి సమాజంలో గొప్ప సేవలు అందిస్తున్నాయి.
మహిళా సాధికారతను ప్రతాపరెడ్డి గారి చేతల్లో చూపించారు. వారి కూతుళ్లను అపోలోకు నాలుగు స్తంభాలుగా విమెన్ ఎంటర్ప్రెన్యూర్స్గా సమాజంలో బాధ్యత కలిగిన పౌరులుగా తీర్చిదిద్దారు” అని అభినందించారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో డాక్టర్ సంగీతా రెడ్డి గారు, శోభనా కామినేని గారు, ఉపాసన కొణిదెల గారితో పాటు ఇతర యాజమాన్య ప్రతినిధులు, వైద్యులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
Aiming to ensure that over 50% of the country’s healthcare services are provided from Telangana, Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy expressed his vision for the state’s hospitals to undergo significant development. He assured that the government would implement the necessary policy decisions to achieve this milestone and emphasized that the administration remains consistently accessible to support the medical sector’s growth.
Alongside Minister Damodara Rajanarsimha, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Apollo Hospital (The Hospital of Gratitude) in Hyderabad’s Financial District. During the ceremony, he congratulated the founder and chairman of Apollo Hospitals, Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, and the management team for their continued dedication to healthcare.
Highlighting a shift in governance, the Chief Minister noted that his government has introduced a dedicated policy for medical tourism, which was previously non-existent. To further strengthen this sector, he mentioned that he has reached out to the Prime Minister and the Union Civil Aviation Minister to request direct flight services between Hyderabad and West Asian countries.
With the ambitious target of centralizing half of India’s medical facilities in Telangana, the Chief Minister stated that the government is making precise, error-free policy decisions. He further guaranteed that the state would provide comprehensive security and a supportive environment for all new investments in the healthcare field.
Reflecting on the state’s industrial roots, he recalled how Hyderabad transformed into a global pharma hub following the establishment of IDPL by Indira Gandhi in 1967. He noted that the strategic policy decisions of that era have led to Hyderabad currently accounting for 40% of India’s bulk drug exports.
Recognizing Apollo’s expansion, he mentioned that the group, which began with just 150 beds in Chennai 46 years ago, is now opening its 76th branch. He expressed his hope that Apollo would reach its 100th branch milestone by December 2028 and shared his interest in attending that future inauguration.
The Chief Minister described Apollo Hospitals as an international brand and a role model for the nation. He remarked that the name “Apollo” has become a symbol of hope for millions and stands as an example of excellence in social service.
In a tribute to leadership, he commended Dr. Prathap C. Reddy for championing women’s empowerment, noting that his daughters serve as the “four pillars” of the organization. The event was attended by Dr. Sangita Reddy, Shobana Kamineni, Upasana Konidela, and other prominent doctors and management representatives.
