వచ్చే విద్యా సంవత్సరం నుంచి తమిళనాడు అనుసరిస్తున్న తరహాలోనే తెలంగాణలోని ప్రభుత్వ పాఠశాలల్లో బ్రేక్ ఫాస్ట్ కార్యక్రమాన్ని ప్రవేశపెడుతామని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు ప్రకటించారు. స్థానిక సంస్థల ఎన్నికల్లో ఓబీసీలకు 42 శాతం, ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీలకు 27 శాతం కలిపి మొత్తం 69 శాతం రిజర్వేషన్లు అమలు చేయబోతున్నట్టు స్పష్టం చేశారు.
తమిళనాడు ప్రభుత్వం చెన్నైలోని జవహర్ లాల్ నెహ్రూ ఇండోర్ స్టేడియంలో నిర్వహించిన ‘విద్యా పునరుజ్జీవన వేడుక’ కార్యక్రమంలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు ప్రత్యేక అతిథిగా హాజరయ్యారు. తమిళనాడు ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ ఎంకే స్టాలిన్ గారు, ఉప ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ ఉదయనిధి స్టాలిన్ గారు ఇతర మంత్రులు పాల్గొన్న ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో విద్యార్థులను ఉద్దేశించి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు ప్రసంగించారు.
రిజర్వేషన్ల విషయంలో తమిళనాడు నాయకుడు కరుణానిధిని స్ఫూర్తిగా తీసుకున్నాం. విద్యా రంగంలో తమిళనాడు అత్యుత్తమ విధానాలను అవలంభించడం అభినందనీయం. తమిళనాడు అవలంభిస్తున్న బ్రేక్ ఫాస్ట్ కార్యక్రమం నా హృదయాన్ని తాకింది. అన్నాదొరై, కామరాజ్ నాడార్, కరుణానికి లాంటి గొప్ప యోధుల జన్మస్థలం తమిళనాడు.
కామరాజ్ గారు తమిళనాడులో తీసుకొచ్చిన విద్యావిధానం దేశం అనుసరిస్తోంది. దేశంలో మధ్యాహ్న భోజన పథకం అమలు చేసిన మొదటి రాష్ట్రం తమిళనాడు. ఇంత మంచి కార్యక్రమానికి ఆహ్వానించినందుకు గర్వపడుతున్నా. కరుణానిధి విజన్ను అమలు చేస్తున్న స్టాలిన్ గారు, ఉదయనిధి గార్లను అభినందిస్తున్నా.
విద్య రంగంపై ప్రభుత్వాలు చేస్తున్న ఖర్చు దానంగా ఇచ్చేది కాదని, నిధులు కేటాయించడం ఒక న్యాయంగా, ఒక హక్కుగా భావిస్తున్నాం. దేశంలో విద్య మాత్రమే సమానత్వం, సామాజిక న్యాయం, అభివృద్ధి సాధనకు మార్గమని భావిస్తున్నాం.
తమిళులు, తెలుగు ప్రజల మధ్య వేల సంవత్సరాలుగా బలమైన సంబంధాలు ఉన్నాయి. దేశంలో 1991 సరళీకృత ఆర్థిక విధానాల తర్వాత తమిళనాడు తయారీ రంగంలో వృద్ధి సాధిస్తే, తెలంగాణ ఐటీ, ఫార్మా రంగాల్లో అభివృద్ధి చెందాయి. ముఖ్యంగా సామాజిక న్యాయం, ప్రజారోగ్యం, సంక్షేమ పథకాల అమలులో ఇరు రాష్ట్రాల మధ్య సారూప్యత ఉంది.
తమిళనాడు అమలు చేస్తున్న విద్యా విధానం తెలంగాణకు ప్రేరణనిచ్చింది. విద్యలో తమిళనాడు అవలంభిస్తున్న విధానం దక్షిణాదికి చెందిన కేరళ, కర్ణాటక, ఆంధ్ర, తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రాలకు మార్గదర్శకంగా నిలిచింది.
తెలంగాణలో మా ప్రభుత్వం విద్యకు అత్యధిక ప్రాధాన్యతనిస్తోంది. నూతన విద్యా విధానం ద్వారా అనేక సంస్కరణలకు శ్రీకారం చుట్టాం. స్కిల్స్ పెంపొందించడానికి యంగ్ ఇండియా స్కిల్స్ యూనివర్సిటీని, అలాగే అడ్వాన్స్డ్ టెక్నాలజీ సెంటర్లను ప్రారంభించాం.
140 కోట్ల జనాభా కలిగిన మన దేశం ఒలింపిక్స్ లో ఒక్క బంగారు పతకం కూడా సాధించలేకపోయాం. గోల్డ్ మెడల్స్ ను సాధించే బాధ్యత తెలంగాణ, తమిళనాడు రాష్ట్రాలు తీసుకుంటాయి. క్రీడలను ప్రోత్సహించాలన్న లక్ష్యంతో యంగ్ ఇండియా స్పోర్ట్ యూనివర్సిటీని ప్రారంభించాం.
ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీ, ఓబీసీ, మైనారిటీలకు వేర్వేరుగా నడుస్తున్న పాఠశాలలను ఒకే గొడుగు కిందకు తెచ్చి వంద అసెంబ్లీ నియోజకవర్గాల్లో యంగ్ ఇండియా ఇంటిగ్రేటెడ్ రెసిడెన్షియల్ స్కూల్స్ స్థాపిస్తున్నాం.
ప్రభుత్వ పాఠశాల విద్యార్థులకు యూనిఫాం అందించడమే కాకుండా పిల్లలను స్కూళ్లకు రానుపోను రవాణా సౌకర్యాలను కూడా కల్పించాలని విద్యా విధానంలో సంకల్పించాం. ప్రభుత్వ స్కూళ్లల్లో కిండర్గార్టెన్, నర్సరీ స్థాయి నుంచి ప్రవేశాలను కల్పించే సరికొత్త విధానం తీసుకొచ్చాం.
తమిళనాడులో ఉన్నట్లే, తెలంగాణలో కూడా IIT, IIIT, నల్సార్, ISB వంటి పలు ఉన్నత విద్యా సంస్థలున్నాయి. ప్రస్తుతం ప్రపంచ ప్రఖ్యాత విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలను హైదరాబాద్కు తీసుకురావాలని ప్రయత్నాలు జరుగుతున్నాయి. తమిళనాడు, తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రాలు దేశానికి రోడ్ మ్యాప్ ను అందించనున్నాయి. నాలెడ్జ్ హబ్ గా అవతరించనున్నాయి.
తమిళనాడు ప్రభుత్వం అనుసరిస్తున్న విధానాలు లక్షల మంది విద్యార్థులకు స్ఫూర్తిగా నిలుస్తున్నాయి. విద్యార్థులు, యువతను ప్రోత్సహిస్తూ ఇలాంటి ఒక మంచి కార్యక్రమం ఏర్పాటు చేసిన సోదరుడు తిరు స్టాలిన్ గారికి, తమిళనాడు ప్రజలందరికీ ప్రత్యేకంగా అభినందనలు తెలియజేస్తున్నా.
తమిళనాడు అమలు చేస్తున్న వివిధ విద్యా పథకాల లబ్ధిదారులు, విద్యాభివృద్దికి కృషి చేసిన విద్యా వేత్తలకు ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారి చేతుల మీదుగా పురస్కారాలు అందజేశారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy announced that the CM Breakfast Program will be introduced in government schools in Telangana from the next academic year, following the model implemented in Tamil Nadu. He also clarified that a total of 69 percent reservations will be ensured in local body elections, including 42 percent for OBCs and 27 percent for SCs and STs.
The Chief Minister attended the “Tamil Nadu Excels in Education – A Celebration of Tamil Nadu’s Educational Renaissance” program organized by the Tamil Nadu government at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai as a special guest. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Shri M.K. Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Udhayanidhi Stalin, and other ministers participated, where Shri Revanth Reddy addressed the students.
Highlighting the inspiration from Tamil Nadu leader Karunanidhi regarding reservations, the Chief Minister said it is commendable that Tamil Nadu is adopting best practices in education. He added that the breakfast program implemented in Tamil Nadu has been particularly inspiring. Tamil Nadu is the birthplace of great leaders such as Annadurai, Kamaraj Nadar, and Karunanidhi.
Shri Revanth Reddy noted that the country follows the education system introduced by Kamaraj in Tamil Nadu. He recalled that Tamil Nadu was the first state in India to implement the mid-day meal scheme. He expressed pride in being invited to this program and congratulated Chief Minister Stalin and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin for implementing Karunanidhi’s vision.
The Chief Minister emphasized that government expenditure on education is not charity, but a right and responsibility. He said education is the foundation for equality, social justice, and overall development in the country.
He highlighted the strong historical and cultural ties between Tamils and Telugu people. After the 1991 economic liberalization, Tamil Nadu developed in manufacturing while Telangana advanced in IT and pharma sectors. Both states share similarities in implementing social justice, public health, and welfare schemes.
The education policies of Tamil Nadu have inspired Telangana, serving as a guide for southern states including Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.
Telangana government is giving top priority to education and has introduced several reforms under the new education policy. Initiatives include the Young India Skills University and Advanced Technology Centers to develop youth skills.
Addressing sports development, the Chief Minister said that India, with a population of 140 crore, has yet to win a gold medal in the Olympics. Telangana and Tamil Nadu will take responsibility for promoting excellence in sports. The Young India Sports University has been established with this goal.
Schools for SC, ST, OBC, and minority students are being brought under one umbrella through the establishment of Young India Integrated Residential Schools in 100 assembly constituencies.
In addition to providing uniforms, the education policy includes transport facilities for students. A new policy now allows admissions in government schools starting from kindergarten and nursery levels.
Telangana also hosts many premier higher education institutions like IIT, IIIT, NALSAR, and ISB. Efforts are underway to attract globally renowned universities to Hyderabad. Together, Tamil Nadu and Telangana aim to provide a road map for education and knowledge development in India.
Chief Minister Shri Revanth Reddy congratulated Thiru M.K. Stalin and the people of Tamil Nadu for organizing a program that inspires students and youth. He also presented awards to beneficiaries of Tamil Nadu’s educational schemes and to educationists who have contributed to the development of the sector.
