మహిళలు, పిల్లల రక్షణ కల్పించడానికి తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం అత్యంత ప్రాధాన్యత ఇస్తుందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు పునరుద్ఘాటించారు. మహిళలకు భద్రత కల్పించాలన్న ఉద్దేశంతోనే రాష్ట్రంలో షీ టీమ్స్ ఏర్పాటు, స్టాండ్ విత్ హర్ లాంటి కార్యక్రమాలు చేపట్టామని గుర్తుచేస్తూ, అదే కోవలో కొత్తగా స్పందన (తక్షణ రక్షణ) బృందాలను ఏర్పాటు చేసినట్టు వివరించారు.
‘ప్రజాపాలన – ప్రగతి ప్రణాళిక’లో భాగంగా తెలంగాణ కమాండ్ కంట్రోల్ సెంటర్ నుంచి స్పందన (తక్షణ రక్షణ) వాహనాలకు ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు జెండా ఊపి ప్రారంభించారు. అనంతరం నగర పోలీసులు, పీస్ కమిటీ సభ్యులతో జరిగిన సమావేశంలో స్పందన టీమ్లను ప్రారంభించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు మాట్లాడుతూ, “మహిళ తన కాళ్ల మీద తాను నిలబడాలంటే వారికి తగిన రక్షణ కల్పించాలి. వారి పిల్లలకు భద్రత ఉండాలి. మహిళ చదువు, వ్యాపారాన్ని స్వేచ్ఛగా నిర్వహించినప్పుడే సమాజం ప్రగతి సాధిస్తుంది” అని నొక్కిచెప్పారు.
మహిళలపై వేధింపులకు పాల్పడుతున్న సంఘటనలను పూర్తిగా నిరోధించి వారికి తగిన రక్షణ కల్పించే విషయంలో స్వచ్ఛంధ సంస్థలు, పీస్ కమిటీలు కూడా సామాజిక బాధ్యతగా పనిచేయాలని కోరారు.
“మహిళల పట్ల దురుసుగా, అవహేళనగా ప్రవర్తించిన వారిని శిక్షించడానికి షీ టీమ్స్ ఏర్పాటు చేయగా, సమాజంలో వివక్షకు గురవుతున్న మహిళకు అండగా నిలవాలన్న లక్ష్యంతో Stand With Her అన్న కార్యక్రమం చేపట్టాం. ఈరోజు మరో అడుగు ముందుకేసి నగర పోలీస్ కమిషనర్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో 24 గంటల పాటు పనిచేసే స్పందన టీమ్లను ఏర్పాటు చేశారు.
ఈ టీమ్లు బాధితుల వద్దకు వెళ్లి ముందు వారికొక మానసిక ధైర్యాన్ని కల్పిస్తాయి. ఆ తర్వాత చట్టపరమైన చర్యలు తీసుకుంటాయి. మహిళ తన గౌరవాన్ని కాపాడటంలో ఈ ప్రభుత్వం, ఈ సమాజం పక్కన నిలబడుతుందన్న నమ్మకం, విశ్వాసం వారిలో కల్పించాలి.
మహిళలకు సమస్యలు వచ్చినప్పుడు స్పందించడం కన్నా సమస్యలు రాకుండా చూడాల్సిన బాధ్యత పౌర సమాజంపైన కూడా ఉంది” అని గుర్తుచేశారు.
“పీస్ కమిటీల సామాజిక బాధ్యతలను విస్తరించాలి. అసాంఘిక చర్యలను నియంత్రించడంలో వారిని భాగస్వామ్యం చేయాలి. కమిటీ సభ్యులు వారి ప్రాంతాల్లో ఎక్కడైనా డ్రగ్స్కు సంబంధించిన సమాచారం ఉంటే వెంటనే పోలీసులకు చేరవేయాలి.
మహిళలు, పిల్లలపై జరుగుతున్న ఆకృత్యాలను పరిశీలిస్తే అందుకు పాల్పడుతున్న వారు వ్యసనాలకు బానిసలై మత్తు పదార్థాలను సేవించి ఇలాంటి చర్యలకు పాల్పడుతున్నారు. అందుకే రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం మాదక ద్రవ్యాల నియంత్రణ విషయంలో కూడా ఈగల్ ఫోర్స్ ద్వారా కఠిన వైఖరిని అవలంభిస్తోంది.
ఇందులో విషయంలో ఎవరికీ మినహాయింపులు లేవు. ఈ సమాజం ప్రమాదబారిన పడకుండా మీ ప్రాంతాల్లో గంజాయి లేదా ఇతర డ్రగ్స్ వినియోగించినా, ప్రోత్సహించినా వెంటనే పోలీసుల దృష్టికి తేవాలి” అని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు కోరారు.
“తెలిసీ తెలియక డ్రగ్స్ బాట పట్టిన వారి కోసం రాష్ట్రంలో పెద్దఎత్తున రీహాబిలిటేషన్ సెంటర్లను ప్రారంభిస్తున్నాం. డ్రగ్స్ నియంత్రణలో స్వచ్ఛంధ సంస్థలు కూడా భాగస్వామ్యం కావాలి. సమాజంలో మత్తును వదిలించాల్సిన అవసరం ఉంది. ఇలాంటి వాటిల్లో ఎంత పెద్దవారైనా సరే, అలాంటి వారిని ప్రజల్లో నిలబెట్టగలిగితే అందరికీ ఒక సందేశమిచ్చినట్టవుతుంది. సమాజంలో బాధ్యత, భయం వస్తుంది” అని చెప్పారు.
“మహిళలకు ఆర్థిక స్వావలంభన కల్పించినప్పుడే రాష్ట్రం, దేశం ప్రగతిపథంలో నడుస్తుంది. 2034 నాటికి రాష్ట్రం 1 ట్రిలియన్ డాలర్లు, 2047 నాటికి 3 ట్రిలియన్ డాలర్ల ఆర్థిక శక్తిగా ఎదగడానికి రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం మహిళల కోసం ప్రభుత్వం అనేక కార్యక్రమాలు చేపట్టింది” అని వాటి వివరాలందించారు.
మహిళలకు ఆర్థిక స్వావలంభన కల్పించాలన్న ఉద్దేశంతో రాష్ట్రంలో అమలు చేస్తున్న ఇందిరమ్మ ఇండ్లను మహిళల పేరుతో మంజూరు చేయడం, 67 లక్షల మంది సభ్యులున్న స్వయం సహాయక సంఘాలకు 60 వేల కోట్ల బ్యాంకు లోన్ లింకేజీ కల్పించడం, ఆర్టీసీలో ఉచిత ప్రయాణ సౌకర్యం, వెయ్యి బస్సులకు యజమానులుగా చేయడం, అన్ని ప్రభుత్వ కార్యాలయాల్లో ఇందిరా మహిళ శక్తి క్యాంటీన్లు నిర్వహించేలా ప్రోత్సహించిన విషయాలను ప్రస్తావించారు.
అమ్మ ఆదర్శ పాఠశాలల పేరుతో 26 వేల ప్రభుత్వ పాఠశాలలను మహిళా సంఘాలకు అప్పగించడం, ఈ స్కూళ్లలో విద్యార్థుల యూనిఫామ్ కుట్టే బాధ్యతను స్వయం సహాయక సంఘాలకు అప్పగించడం, మహిళా సంఘాల వస్తువుల మార్కెట్ కోసం హైటెక్ సిటీ పక్కన 3.5 ఎకరాల విలువైన స్థలం ఇందిరా మహిళా శక్తి స్టాల్స్ కోసం అప్పగించడం వంటి అనేక అంశాలను ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు గుర్తుచేశారు.
ఐసీసీసీలో జరిగిన ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో మంత్రి ధనసరి అనసూయ సీతక్క గారు, ఎంపీలు వేం నరేందర్ రెడ్డి గారు, అనిల్ కుమార్ యాదవ్ గారు, డీజీపీ శివధర్ రెడ్డి గారు, హైదరాబాద్ సీపీ సజ్జనార్ గారు, ఇతర పోలీస్ ఉన్నతాధికారులు, హైదరాబాద్ పీస్ కమిటీ ప్రతినిధులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
The protection of women and children remains a top priority for the Telangana government, as reaffirmed by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy. Emphasizing the commitment to ensuring safety, he recalled the implementation of initiatives like SHE Teams and ‘Stand With Her,’ and announced the launch of the new ‘Spandana’ (Immediate Protection) teams to further strengthen the security framework.
As part of the ‘Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranala’ program, the Chief Minister flagged off the Spandana emergency response vehicles from the Telangana State Command and Control Centre. Following the launch, he formally inaugurated the teams during a high-level meeting with city police officials and members of the Peace Committee.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister stated, “For a woman to be truly self-reliant, she must be provided with adequate protection, and her children must be safe. Society achieves progress only when women can pursue education and business with complete freedom.”
He urged non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and Peace Committees to treat the prevention of harassment against women as a core social responsibility. While SHE Teams focus on penalizing offenders and ‘Stand With Her’ supports those facing discrimination, the new Spandana teams will provide round-the-clock assistance under the direct supervision of the Police Commissioner.
These teams are designed to reach victims immediately, providing psychological support and confidence before initiating legal proceedings. The Chief Minister stressed that women must have the unwavering trust that both the government and society stand by them to protect their dignity.
The Chief Minister also called for a broader social role for Peace Committees, specifically in identifying and reporting drug-related activities. He noted that many atrocities against women and children are fueled by substance abuse, which is why the government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy through the ‘Eagle Force.’
To support those struggling with addiction, the state is establishing large-scale rehabilitation centers. The Chief Minister invited NGOs to help eradicate the drug menace, remarking that holding even influential individuals accountable would send a powerful message of responsibility and legal fear throughout the community.
Linking women’s empowerment to the state’s economic future, he noted that Telangana aims to reach a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and $3 trillion by 2047. Key initiatives to drive this include registering Indiramma houses in women’s names and providing $₹$60,000 crore in bank linkages to 6.7 million members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
Other landmark measures highlighted included free RTC bus travel, making women owners of a thousand buses, and launching ‘Indira Mahila Shakti’ canteens in government offices. Furthermore, the ‘Amma Adarsha’ program has handed the management of 26,000 schools and uniform production to women’s groups, supported by a dedicated 3.5-acre marketing hub near HITEC City.
The event at the ICCC was attended by Minister Dhanasari Anasuya (Seethakka), MPs Vem Narender Reddy and Anil Kumar Yadav, DGP Shivadhar Reddy, Hyderabad CP Sajjanar, and other senior officials and representatives.
