యాసంగి పంటకు సంబంధించి తెలంగాణ నుంచి 30 లక్షల మెట్రిక్ టన్నుల (ఎల్ఎంటీ) బాయిల్డ్ రైస్ సేకరించాలని కేంద్ర ఆహార, ప్రజా పంపిణీ శాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీ ప్రహ్లాద్ జోషి గారికి ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు, రాష్ట్ర పౌర సరఫరాల శాఖ మంత్రి ఉత్తమ్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి గారు విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. ధాన్యం యాసంగి పంట బాయిల్డ్ రైస్ మిల్లింగ్కు తెలంగాణ అనుకూలమని వారు కేంద్ర మంత్రికి తెలియజేశారు.
గత ఆరు యాసంగి సీజన్లలో కస్టమ్ మిల్లింగ్ రైస్ (సీఎంఆర్) సరఫరా గణాంకాలను పరిశీలిస్తే ఈ విషయం స్పష్టమవుతుందని చెప్పారు. మంత్రి ఉత్తమ్ గారితో కలిసి ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు ఢిల్లీలో కేంద్ర మంత్రి జోషి గారిని వారి నివాసంలో కలిశారు.
దేశవ్యాప్తంగా బాయిల్డ్ రైస్కు భారీ డిమాండ్ ఉన్నందున సరఫరా పెంచాలని ఇటీవల కేంద్ర ఆహార, ప్రజా పంపిణీ విభాగం అధికారులు సూచించిన విషయాన్ని ఈ సందర్భంగా గుర్తు చేశారు. తెలంగాణలో ఈ యాసంగి సీజన్లో 90 ఎల్ఎంటీ ధాన్యం ఉత్పత్తి అవుతుందని వివరించారు.
యాసంగి ధాన్యం బాయిల్డ్ రైస్ మిల్లింగ్కు అనుకూలంగా ఉంటుందని, అందువల్ల యాసంగి పంటకు సంబంధించి మొత్తం 30 ఎల్ఎంటీ బాయిల్డ్ రైస్ (5 శాతం నూకతో), 5 ఎల్ఎంటీ రా రైస్ (10 శాతం నూకతో) సరఫరా చేసేందుకు తాము సిద్ధంగా ఉన్నామని కేంద్ర మంత్రికి చెప్పారు.
బాయిల్డ్ రైస్ సరఫరాకు సంబంధించి ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారి ప్రతిపాదనకు కేంద్ర మంత్రి సూత్రప్రాయంగా ఆమోదం తెలిపారు.
2014–15 వర్షాకాలం పంట అదనపు లెవీ సేకరణకు సంబంధించిన రూ. 1,468.94 కోట్ల బకాయిలను వెంటనే విడుదల చేయాలని శ్రీ ప్రహ్లాద్ జోషి గారికి విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. దేశంలోనే వరి ధాన్యం ఉత్పత్తి, సేకరణలో తెలంగాణ అగ్రగామిగా ఉందని, ధాన్యం సేకరించిన 48 గంటల్లోనే రైతులకు తాము చెల్లింపులు చేస్తున్నామని తెలిపారు. రాష్ట్ర పౌర సరఫరాల శాఖ మీద ఉన్న ఒత్తిడిని గుర్తించి వెంటనే పాత బకాయిలు విడుదల చేయాలని కోరారు.
పిల్లల్లో రక్తహీనత, పోషకాల లోపాల నివారణకు గాను పోషకాహార బియ్యాన్ని (FRK) పాఠశాలలు, వసతిగృహాలు, ఐసీడీఎస్ పరిధిలో పంపిణీ చేసేవారని, ఇటీవల దానిని నిలిపివేశారని పేర్కొంటూ వెంటనే పునఃప్రారంభించాలని విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు.
కేంద్ర మంత్రితో జరిగిన సమావేశంలో ఢిల్లీలో రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ ప్రత్యేక ప్రతినిధి ఏపీ జితేందర్ రెడ్డి గారు, సెక్రటరీ కో-ఆర్డినేషన్ అద్వైత్ సింగ్ గారితో పాటు కేంద్ర ఆహార, ప్రజా పంపిణీ శాఖ అధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
In a high-level meeting in Delhi, Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy and Hon’ble Minister for Civil Supplies Sri Uttam Kumar Reddy urged Hon’ble Union Minister Sri Prahlad Joshi to procure 30 lakh metric tonnes (LMT) of boiled rice from Telangana for the Yasangi season. Emphasizing the state’s expertise in Yasangi milling, the Chief Minister highlighted that Telangana is ready to meet the rising national demand for boiled rice, with an estimated 90 LMT of paddy production this season.
The Chief Minister pointed to Custom Milled Rice (CMR) data from the last six seasons as evidence of Telangana’s suitability for boiled rice production. Meeting at the Union Minister’s residence, the delegation reiterated that the state remains a national leader in grain procurement and agricultural output.
Citing recent recommendations from Union Food Department officials to boost supplies, the state leadership confirmed that Telangana’s current Yasangi harvest is projected at 90 LMT. They offered a supply plan of 30 LMT of boiled rice (5% broken) and 5 LMT of raw rice (10% broken) to support national food security.
Union Minister Sri Prahlad Joshi garu gave in-principle approval to the boiled rice procurement proposal. During the discussions, the Chief Minister also pressed for the immediate release of ₹1,468.94 crore in long-pending dues from the 2014–15 Kharif season to support the State Civil Supplies Department.
Highlighting the state’s commitment to farmers, the Chief Minister noted that payments are cleared within 48 hours of procurement. He also called for the urgent resumption of Fortified Rice Kernel (FRK) distribution in schools and ICDS centres to combat anemia and malnutrition among children.
The high-level meeting included State Special Representative Sri A.P. Jithender Reddy garu, Secretary (Coordination) Advait Singh garu, and senior officials from the Union Ministry of Food and Public Distribution.
