విడతలవారీగా నియామకాలు చేపడుతూ 2028 నాటికి పోలీసు శాఖలో అన్ని ఖాళీలను భర్తీ చేస్తామని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ ఎ. రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు ప్రకటించారు. పోలీసు శాఖలో సిబ్బంది కొరత అన్నది లేకుండా సంపూర్ణంగా నియామకాలు చేపడుతామని స్పష్టం చేశారు.
సైబర్ నేరాలు, ఆన్ లైన్ మోసాలు, మాదక ద్రవ్యాల అక్రమ రవాణా, ఆహారం కల్తీ వంటి మారుతున్న నేర స్వభావాలు, సవాళ్లను ఎదుర్కోవడంలో పోలీసు శాఖను బలోపేతం చేయడానికి ప్రత్యేక చర్యలు తీసుకుంటున్నామని చెప్పారు. పోలీసు అమరుల త్యాగాలను గౌరవిస్తూ, వారి ఆశయాలను కొనసాగిస్తూ శాంతియుతమైన, సురక్షితమైన, అభివృద్ధి చెందిన తెలంగాణను నిర్మించుకుందామని పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
పోలీస్ అమరవీరుల సంస్మరణ దినం సందర్భంగా హైదరాబాద్ గోషామహల్ స్టేడియంలో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన కార్యక్రమంలో పోలీసు అమరవీరులకు నివాళులర్పించారు. పోలీసుల గౌరవ వందనం స్పీకరించిన అనంతరం ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు మాట్లాడుతూ, శాంతి భద్రతల ప్రాధాన్యత, పోలీసుల సంక్షేమానికి ప్రభుత్వం తీసుకున్న చర్యలను వివరించారు.
“పోలీసు అమరవీరుల సంస్మరణ దినం ఎంతో భావోద్వేగమైన రోజు. సమాజం కోసం ప్రాణాలను త్యాగం చేసిన పోలీసు అమరులకు నివాళులర్పిస్తున్నాను. దేశవ్యాప్తంగా ఈ ఏడాది విధి నిర్వహణలో 154 మంది పోలీసు సిబ్బంది ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయారు. వారి కుటుంబాలకు ప్రగాఢ సానుభూతి తెలియజేస్తున్నాను. అమరుల కుటుంబాలకు ప్రభుత్వం అండగా ఉంటుంది.
రాష్ట్ర అభివృద్ధికి పెట్టుబడులతో పాటు శాంతిభద్రతలు ఎంతో ముఖ్యం. ప్రజలు నిర్భయంగా జీవించినప్పుడే అభివృద్ధి సాధ్యమవుతుంది. పరిశ్రమలు, ఐటీ, పర్యాటక రంగాల అభివృద్ధికి శాంతిభద్రతల పరిరక్షణ కీలకం. అందుకే ప్రజా ప్రభుత్వం పోలీసు శాఖకు అత్యంత ప్రాధాన్యతనిస్తోంది.
2025 అక్టోబర్ నాటికి దాదాపు 16 వేల మంది కానిస్టేబుళ్లు, ఎస్‌ఐలను నియమించాం. 2026లో మరో 5 వేల ఉద్యోగాల భర్తీకి అనుమతించాం. ఇందులో భాగంగా 4,773 కానిస్టేబుళ్లు, అగ్నిమాపక, జైళ్ల శాఖలకు సంబంధించిన పోస్టులతో కలిపి 7,437 పోస్టుల భర్తీకి అనుమతినిచ్చాం. ఉమ్మడి రాష్ట్రంలో ఎన్నడూ లేని విధంగా 112 మంది డీఎస్పీలను నియమించాం. ట్రాన్స్‌జెండర్లను ట్రాఫిక్ అసిస్టెంట్లుగా నియమించి వారి ఆత్మగౌరవాన్ని పెంచాం.
విధి నిర్వహణలో వీరమరణం పొందిన కానిస్టేబుళ్ల ఎక్స్‌గ్రేషియాను రూ. 40 లక్షల నుంచి రూ. 1 కోట్లకు, హెడ్ కానిస్టేబుళ్లు, ఏఎస్‌ఐల పరిహారాన్ని రూ. 45 లక్షల నుంచి రూ. 1 కోట్లకు పెంచాం. ఎస్‌ఐలకు రూ. 1.25 కోట్లు, ఇన్‌స్పెక్టర్లకు రూ. 1.25 కోట్లు, డీఎస్పీ, అడిషనల్ ఎస్పీ స్థాయి అధికారులకు రూ. 1.50 కోట్లు, ఎస్పీ, ఐపీఎస్ అధికారులకు రూ. 2 కోట్ల పరిహారం అందిస్తున్నాం.
అమరుల కుటుంబాల్లో అర్హులైన ఒకరికి ప్రభుత్వ ఉద్యోగం, ఇంటి స్థలం, ఉచిత విద్య, వైద్య సహాయం అందిస్తున్నాం. వైద్య విద్యలో ప్రత్యేక సీట్లు కల్పిస్తున్నాం. భద్రతా సంక్షేమ నిధి నుంచి రూ. 16 లక్షలు, సంక్షేమ నిధి నుంచి మరో రూ. 8 లక్షలు అందించాలని నిర్ణయించాం. హోంగార్డుల కుటుంబాలకు ప్రస్తుతం అందిస్తున్న రూ. 5 లక్షల ఎక్స్‌గ్రేషియాను రూ. 10 లక్షలకు పెంచాలని డీజీపీని ఆదేశిస్తున్నాను. హోంగార్డుల వైద్య పరీక్షలకు ప్రాధాన్యత ఇవ్వాలి.
పోలీసు సిబ్బంది పిల్లల విద్య కోసం రంగారెడ్డి జిల్లా మంచిరేవులలో 44 ఎకరాల్లో యంగ్ ఇండియా పోలీస్ స్కూల్‌ను ప్రారంభించాం. డ్రగ్స్ నియంత్రణలో ఈగల్ ఫోర్స్ పనితీరును అభినందిస్తున్నాను. కల్తీ ఆహార నియంత్రణకు టీజీ సేఫ్‌ను ప్రారంభించాం. షీ టీమ్స్ సేవలను కొనసాగిస్తున్నాం. మహిళలకు అండగా నిలిచేందుకు స్టాండ్ విత్ హర్ కార్యక్రమాన్ని, అత్యవసర పరిస్థితుల్లో తక్షణ రక్షణకు స్పందన బృందాలను ప్రారంభించాం.
మహిళలు, చిన్నారులకు సంబంధించిన కేసుల్లో పోలీసులు సున్నితంగా వ్యవహరించాలి. బాధితులకు న్యాయం అందించడంలో జాప్యం జరగకూడదు. మహిళల భద్రత సమాజంలోని ప్రతి ఒక్కరి బాధ్యత.
అమరుల కుటుంబ సభ్యులకు ఒక మాట చెబుతున్నాను. మీరు కోల్పోయిన వ్యక్తిని ఎవరూ తిరిగి తీసుకురాలేరు. కానీ మీ బాధలో మీరు ఒంటరివారు కాదు. తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం, పోలీసు శాఖ, సమాజం మీకు అండగా ఉంటాయి.
పోలీసు సిబ్బంది క్రమశిక్షణే వారి బలం, నిజాయితీయే వారి గౌరవం. ప్రజలకు భరోసా కల్పిస్తూ వారి భద్రతకు అండగా నిలవాలి. వారి సంక్షేమానికి, కుటుంబాల భవిష్యత్తుకు ప్రభుత్వం తోడుగా ఉంటుంది. అమరుల త్యాగాలను గుర్తించి, వారి కుటుంబాలకు అండగా నిలబడటమే నిజమైన గౌరవం.
ఫ్రెండ్లీ పోలీసింగ్‌లో భాగంగా సమస్యలతో పోలీస్ స్టేషన్‌కు వచ్చే సామాన్యులతో స్నేహపూర్వకంగా, నేరస్థులతో కఠినంగా వ్యవహరించాలి. అమరుల స్ఫూర్తిని ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్లాలి.” అని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు పేర్కొన్నారు. ఈ ఏడాది అమరులైన పోలీసు కుటుంబాల సభ్యులకు ఆర్థిక సహాయాన్ని అందించారు.
All vacancies in the Telangana Police Department will be filled by 2028 through phased recruitment, ensuring there is no staff shortage, Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy announced.
Special measures are being taken to strengthen the Police Department to tackle emerging crimes and challenges, including cybercrime, online fraud, drug trafficking and food adulteration. The Chief Minister called upon everyone to honour the sacrifices of police martyrs, uphold their ideals and work towards building a peaceful, safe and developed Telangana.
On Police Commemoration Day, the Chief Minister paid tributes to police martyrs at a programme held at Goshamahal Stadium in Hyderabad. After receiving the ceremonial salute, he outlined the importance of law and order and the measures taken by the government for the welfare of police personnel.
“Police Commemoration Day is an emotional occasion. This year, 154 police personnel across the country lost their lives in the line of duty. I extend my heartfelt condolences to their families. The government will stand by them.
Law and order is vital for Telangana’s development and for the growth of industries, IT and tourism. That is why our government gives the Police Department the highest priority.
By October 2025, we had recruited around 16,000 constables and Sub-Inspectors. In 2026, approval was given for additional recruitment, including 7,437 posts across the Police, Fire Services and Prisons departments. We also recruited 112 DSPs and appointed transgender persons as traffic assistants.
We enhanced ex-gratia payments for police personnel who die in the line of duty, with compensation ranging from ₹1 crore for constables and Head Constables/ASIs to ₹2 crore for SPs and IPS officers. Eligible family members of martyrs will receive government jobs, house sites, educational and medical assistance. The ex-gratia for Home Guard families will be increased from ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh.
We established the Young India Police School on 44 acres at Manchirevula to support the education of police personnel’s children. Initiatives such as the EAGLE Force, TG SAFE, SHE Teams, Stand With Her and Spandana teams strengthen efforts to tackle drugs, food adulteration and women’s safety.
Police personnel must handle cases involving women and children sensitively and ensure timely justice. Women’s safety is everyone’s responsibility.
The families of martyrs are not alone; the government, Police Department and society stand with them. Discipline and integrity must guide every police officer. Personnel should treat ordinary citizens with friendliness and deal firmly with criminals, carrying forward the spirit of the martyrs,” the Chief Minister said.
