వస్త్ర పరిశ్రమ రంగంలో 2047 నాటికి తెలంగాణను దక్షిణాసియాలోనే గొప్ప టెక్స్టైల్ రాజధానిగా తీర్చిదిద్దుతామని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు చెప్పారు. టెక్స్టైల్ రంగ అభివృద్ధి కోసం ప్రభుత్వం నిర్దేశించుకున్న విజన్కు అనుగుణంగా ప్రపంచాన్ని మార్చగల వాతావరణాన్ని సృష్టించడంలో మాతో భాగస్వామ్యం కావాలని పారిశ్రామిక వేత్తలకు పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం, కాన్ఫెడరేషన్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియన్ టెక్స్టైల్ ఇండస్ట్రీ (CITI) తో కలిసి 13వ ఏషియా టెక్స్టైల్ సదస్సు (ATEXCON 2026)ను నిర్వహించింది. ఈ సదస్సులో ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు అటెక్స్కాన్-2026 నివేదికను విడుదల చేశారు.
ఈ సదస్సులో మంత్రులు దుద్దిళ్ల శ్రీధర్ బాబు గారు, తుమ్మల నాగేశ్వర రావు గారు, అధికారులు, జాతీయ, అంతర్జాతీయ ప్రతినిధులు పాల్గొన్నారు. ఈ సదస్సు సందర్భంగా ఏర్పాటు చేసిన టెక్స్టైల్ ఎగ్జిబిషన్ను ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు మంత్రులతో కలిసి సందర్శించారు.
సదస్సులో ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు మాట్లాడుతూ, “అత్యుత్తమ వస్త్రాలను తయారు చేసిన గొప్ప చరిత్ర భారతదేశానికి ఉంది. శతాబ్దాలుగా కళలు, సంస్కృతి, సంప్రదాయాలు టెక్స్టైల్స్ రంగాన్ని పరిపూర్ణంగా తీర్చిదిద్దాయి.
నిజాం కాలంలో ప్రపంచ నలుమూలల నుంచి వ్యాపారులు హైదరాబాద్ నగరానికి వచ్చి వస్త్రాలు, ముత్యాలు కొనుగోలు చేశారు. తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రం ఈ విషయాన్ని గర్వంగా చెప్పగలదు. టెక్స్టైల్స్ మా డీఎన్ఏలో ఉంది.
వస్త్ర పరిశ్రమలో తెలంగాణ ముందంజలో ఉండటానికి చారిత్రక కారణాలున్నాయి. దేశంలో పత్తి ఉత్పత్తిలో అగ్రగామిగా ఉన్నాం. పత్తి నాణ్యతకు ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా పేరుంది. టెక్స్టైల్ తెలంగాణకు కేవలం పరిశ్రమ మాత్రమే కాదు. ప్రజల జీవనాధారం. ప్రసిద్ధి చెందిన పోచంపల్లి ఇక్కత్, గద్వాల చీరలు, వరంగల్ దుర్రీస్, నారాయణపేట చేనేత వరకు అనేకం ఇక్కడున్నాయి.
తెలంగాణలో నైపుణ్యం ఉంది. మంచి సంకల్పం కూడా ఉంది. డీప్టెక్, ఫార్మా, లైఫ్ సైన్సెస్, ఏరోస్పేస్, డిఫెన్స్ మాన్యుఫాక్చరింగ్, ఎనర్జీ వంటి అనేక రంగాల్లో తెలంగాణ ముందంజలో ఉంది. వరంగల్లో కాకతీయ ప్రపంచ స్థాయి మెగా టెక్స్టైల్ పార్క్ను ఏర్పాటు చేశాం. అందులో అనేక అప్పరెల్ పార్కులున్నాయి.
తెలంగాణ రైజింగ్ 2047 విజన్ ద్వారా 2034 నాటికి ఒక ట్రిలియన్ ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థగా, 2047 నాటికి మూడు ట్రిలియన్ డాలర్ల ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థగా రాష్ట్రాన్ని తీర్చిదిద్దాలన్నది మా లక్ష్యం.
వస్త్ర పరిశ్రమకు సంబంధించి తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం భూమి, విద్యుత్, నీరు వంటి మౌలిక సదుపాయాలను కల్పిస్తూ ప్రోత్సహిస్తుంది. అవసరమైన అనుమతులను వేగంగా మంజూరు చేస్తుంది. ప్రపంచ పోటీకి అనుగుణంగా విధానాలు అనుసరిస్తున్నాం. అత్యుత్తమ మానవ వనరుల బలం ఉంది.
తెలంగాణలోని పత్తి పొలాలకు.. లండన్, న్యూయార్క్, పారిస్, మిలాన్, టోక్యో, దుబాయ్ ఫ్యాషన్ షోలకు అనుసంధానం కావాలి. మీకు విజన్ ఉంటే, మేము సరైన భాగస్వాములం అవుతాం. అందరం కలిసి, ప్రపంచాన్ని మార్చగల టెక్స్టైల్ ఎకోసిస్టమ్ను నిర్మిద్దాం.
హైదారాబాద్ గ్లోబల్ సినిమా హబ్ గా ఎదుగుతోంది. ఇటీవల నెట్ ఫ్లిక్స్ ఐలైన్ స్టూడియోలను ఇక్కడ ప్రారంభించాను. టాలీవుడ్, బాలీవుడ్ ఇప్పటికే హైదరాబాద్ కేంద్రంగా పనిచేస్తుండగా, ఇప్పుడు హాలీవుడ్ కూడా చేరింది. సినిమా సంబంధిత ఫ్యాషన్ రంగాన్ని కూడా తెలంగాణ నుంచే అభివృద్ధి చెందేలా ప్రోత్సహిస్తాం.
పరిశ్రమల అభివృద్ధితోపాటే పర్యావరణ పరిరక్షణకు ప్రాధాన్యత ఇస్తున్నాం. గ్రీన్ టెక్స్టైల్ హబ్లను అభివృద్ధి చేస్తాం. సంప్రదాయ ఆలోచనలతో పాటు ఆధునిక పరికరాలతో కలిపి డిజైన్, కట్టింగ్, స్టిచింగ్లో యువతకు ముఖ్యంగా మహిళలకు శిక్షణనిస్తాం.
ప్రపంచంలోని ప్రతి దేశం తెలంగాణలో తయారైన దుస్తులను ధరించేలా చేయాలన్నది మా సంకల్పం. తెలంగాణ రైజింగ్ ప్రయాణంలో అందరూ భాగస్వాములు కావాలి..” అని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు పెట్టుబడిదారులకు పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
Telangana is on track to emerge as South Asia’s premier textile capital by 2047, Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy stated, inviting industrialists to partner in building a globally competitive textile ecosystem.
The State Government, in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI), organized the 13th Asian Textile Conference (ATEXCON 2026), during which the ATEXCON-2026 report was released.
Ministers Duddilla Sridhar Babu and Thummala Nageswara Rao, along with officials and national and international delegates, participated in the conference. The Chief Minister also visited the textile exhibition on the sidelines.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister highlighted India’s rich textile heritage, shaped over centuries by art, culture, and tradition.
He noted that during the Nizam era, Hyderabad attracted global merchants for textiles and pearls, reflecting Telangana’s longstanding prominence in the sector. “Textiles are ingrained in our DNA,” he said.
Telangana is a leading producer of high-quality cotton with global recognition. The sector supports livelihoods and is known for products such as Pochampally Ikat, Gadwal sarees, Warangal durries, and Narayanpet handlooms.
The state has made significant progress across sectors including DeepTech, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, aerospace, defence manufacturing, and energy. The Kakatiya Mega Textile Park in Warangal is a key initiative in strengthening textile infrastructure.
Under the ‘Telangana Rising 2047’ vision, the state aims to become a one-trillion-dollar economy by 2034 and a three-trillion-dollar economy by 2047.
The government is promoting textile sector growth by providing infrastructure such as land, power, and water, ensuring fast-track approvals, and adopting globally competitive policies, supported by a strong talent base.
The Chief Minister emphasized connecting Telangana’s cotton fields to global fashion hubs like London, New York, Paris, Milan, Tokyo, and Dubai, inviting investors to collaborate in building a transformative textile ecosystem.
He also noted Hyderabad’s emergence as a global cinema hub, with Netflix iLine Studios adding to the presence of Tollywood and Bollywood, and said the government will support the fashion ecosystem linked to the film industry.
Stressing sustainability, he said ‘Green Textile Hubs’ will be developed, combining traditional practices with modern technology, with a focus on skill development for youth and women.
“Our aim is to see garments made in Telangana reach people across the world. Let everyone be a partner in this journey of a Rising Telangana,” the Chief Minister said.
