వానాకాలం పంటకు (2025-26 సీజన్) సంబంధించి తెలంగాణలో అదనంగా సేకరించిన 18 లక్షల మెట్రిక్ టన్నుల ధాన్యాన్ని భారత ఆహార సంస్థ (ఎఫ్సీఐ) తీసుకోవాలని కేంద్ర ఆహార, పౌర సరఫరాల శాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీ ప్రహ్లాద్ జోషి గారికి ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు రాష్ట్ర పౌర సరఫరాల శాఖ మంత్రి ఉత్తమ్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి గారితో కలిసి కేంద్ర మంత్రి గారితో వారి నివాసంలో భేటీ అయ్యారు.
వానా కాలం పంటకు సంబంధించి 53.73 లక్షల మెట్రిక్ టన్నులకు (ఎల్ఎంటీ) అనుమతించారని, కానీ భారీగా పంట ఉత్పత్తి కావడంతో అదనంగా 18 ఎల్ఎంటీలు తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం సేకరించినందున ఆ మొత్తాన్ని 10 శాతం నూకతో ఎఫ్సీఐ (FCI) సేకరించాలని ఈ సందర్భంగా కోరారు.
2024-25 యాసంగి పంటకు సంబంధించి 5 శాతం నూకతో అదనంగా 10 లక్షల మెట్రిక్ టన్నుల బాయిల్డ్ రైస్ మిల్లింగ్కు అనుమతించాలని అడిగారు. 2024-25 వానా కాలం పంటకు సంబంధించి కస్టమ్స్ మిల్లింగ్ రైస్కు ఈ ఏడాది ఫిబ్రవరి 28 వ తేదీ వరకు గడువు నిర్దేశించారని, దానిని మరో 2 నెలలు పాటు పొడిగించాలని కూడా విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు.
భారత ఆహార సంస్థకు 2014-15 వానా కాలంలో సరఫరా చేసిన బియ్యానికి సంబంధించి తెలంగాణకు బకాయి పెట్టిన 1,468.94 కోట్ల రూపాయలను వెంటనే విడుదల చేయాలని కోరారు. నాడు అదనపు లెవీ సేకరణకు సంబంధించిన మొత్తాన్ని రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వమే భరించిన విషయాన్ని గుర్తుచేశారు. ఆనాడు ధాన్యం సేకరణకు రుణం తీసుకున్నామని, దానికి వడ్డీ 2 వేల కోట్ల రూపాయలకుపైగా పెరిగిందని తెలియజేశారు.
ప్రధానమంత్రి గరీబ్ కళ్యాణ్ యోజన కింద మే నెల 2021 నుంచి మార్చి 2022 వరకు సరఫరా చేసిన అదనపు బియ్యం, 2022 ఏప్రిల్ నెలలో సరఫరా చేసిన బియ్యానికి సంబంధించిన బకాయిలు 343.27 కోట్ల రూపాయలను వెంటనే విడుదల చేయాలని కేంద్ర మంత్రిని విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు.
సమావేశంలో ఎంపీలు డాక్టర్ మల్లు రవి గారు, సురేశ్ షెట్కార్ గారు, ఉన్నతాధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy requested Hon’ble Union Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Shri Pralhad Joshi to ensure that the Food Corporation of India FCI takes over the additional 18 lakh metric tonnes of surplus food grains procured in Telangana during the 2025-26 monsoon season. The Chief Minister, along with State Civil Supplies Minister Shri Uttam Kumar Reddy, met the Union Minister at his residence at Delhi.
On this occasion, it was explained that permission had been granted for procurement of 53.73 lakh metric tonnes LMT for the monsoon crop. However, due to higher crop production, the Telangana Government procured an additional 18 LMT. The Chief Minister requested that FCI collect this additional quantity along with 10 percent tax.
He also sought permission for milling of an additional 10 lakh metric tonnes of boiled rice for the 2024-25 Yasangi season with 5 percent tax. Further, he appealed for extension of the deadline for custom milling of rice pertaining to the 2024-25 monsoon season crop, which is currently set till February 28, by another two months.
The Chief Minister requested immediate release of Rs 1,468.94 crore due to Telangana for rice supplied to FCI during the 2014-15 monsoon season. He reminded that the additional levy collection burden was borne by the State Government and that loans were taken for paddy procurement at that time. He informed that the interest burden has now increased to over Rs 2,000 crore.
He also urged the Union Minister to immediately release the dues relating to additional rice supplied under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana from May 2021 to March 2022, along with arrears of Rs 343.27 crore pertaining to rice supplied in April 2022.
MPs Dr. Mallu Ravi and Shri Suresh Shetkar, along with senior officials, participated in the meeting.
