ప్రపంచ ఆర్థిక వేదిక (WEF) 2026 సందర్భంగా దావోస్లో తెలంగాణ ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు స్విట్జర్లాండ్లోని వాడ్ (Vaud) రాష్ట్ర ముఖ్యమంత్రి క్రిస్టెల్ లూసియర్ బ్రోడార్ గారితో సమావేశమయ్యారు. భారత్–స్విట్జర్లాండ్ స్వేచ్ఛా వాణిజ్య ఒప్పందం నేపథ్యంలో రెండు రాష్ట్రాల మధ్య సహకార పెంపుపై చర్చించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు తెలంగాణ రైజింగ్–2047 విజన్ను స్విస్ ప్రతినిధులకు వివరించారు. హైదరాబాద్లో ప్రపంచంలోనే తొలిసారి ‘స్విస్ మాల్’ ఏర్పాటు చేయాలనే ఆలోచనను ముఖ్యమంత్రి ప్రతిపాదించగా, స్విస్ బృందం సానుకూలంగా స్పందించింది.
ఇద్దరు ముఖ్యమంత్రులు ఫుట్బాల్ క్రీడాకారులే కావడంతో, క్రీడల రంగంలో భాగస్వామ్యంపై కూడా విస్తృతంగా చర్చించారు. క్రీడా శిక్షణ, మౌలిక వసతుల అభివృద్ధిలో కలిసి పనిచేయవచ్చని అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు.
సంస్కృతి, విద్య, నైపుణ్యాభివృద్ధి, శిక్షణ రంగాల్లో, హాస్పిటాలిటీ మేనేజ్మెంట్, క్రీడల విభాగాల్లో పరస్పర సహకారానికి అవకాశాలపై ఇద్దరు ముఖ్యమంత్రులు అభిప్రాయాలు పంచుకున్నారు. రిటైల్, లైఫ్ సైన్సెస్ రంగాల్లో అవకాశాలపై చర్చించారు. మహిళా సాధికారతకు సంబంధించి స్వయం సహాయక సంఘాల కార్యక్రమాలపై స్విస్ బృందం ఆసక్తి కనబరిచింది.
పరస్పర సహకార అంశాలు పరిశీలించేందుకు త్వరలోనే స్విట్జర్లాండ్ బృందం హైదరాబాద్లో పర్యటిస్తుందని వాడ్ రాష్ట్ర పరిశ్రమలు, ఆర్థిక శాఖ మంత్రి ఇసబెల్ మోరెట్ గారు తెలిపారు.
A visionary collaboration is set to take shape as Telangana charts a new chapter in global retail and cultural exchange. During the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy engaged in a constructive discussion with Christelle Luisier Brodard, Chief Minister of the Council of Vaud, Switzerland, exploring avenues of partnership under the broader framework of the India–Switzerland free trade agreement.
The leaders discussed cooperation across multiple domains, including culture, education, skill development, and training—particularly in hospitality management and sports. They also deliberated on sharing best practices in the retail and life sciences sectors to strengthen collaboration between the two regions.
In the course of the discussions, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, while promoting the Telangana Rising 2047 vision and highlighting investment and development opportunities in the state, proposed the creation of a world-first “Swiss Mall” in Hyderabad. The Swiss delegation responded positively, welcoming the innovative concept.
Both Chief Ministers, being avid football players, also explored potential collaboration in sports initiatives, reflecting a shared commitment to promoting youth engagement and athletic excellence.
Further, the Swiss delegation expressed keen interest in supporting Telangana’s vision for women empowerment through self-help groups. Isabelle Moret, Industries & Economy Minister of Vaud, confirmed that a Swiss team will soon visit Hyderabad to assess and explore detailed opportunities for collaboration.
