మాజీ ప్రధానమంత్రి స్వర్గీయ ఇందిరా గాంధీ గారి జయంతి సందర్భంగా రాష్ట్రంలో కోటి మంది మహిళలకు కోటి చీరల పంపిణీ కార్యక్రమాన్ని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు లాంఛనంగా ప్రారంభించనున్నారు. ఇందిరమ్మ చీరలకు సంబంధించి మంత్రి ధనసరి అనసూయ సీతక్క గారితో పాటు ఉన్నతాధికారుల సమావేశంలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు సమీక్షించారు.
అర్హులైన ప్రతీ మహిళకు ఇందిరమ్మ చీరను అందించాలని ఈ సందర్భంగా అధికారులకు సూచించారు. రాష్ట్ర వ్యాప్తంగా పంపిణీ కోసం చీరలను పూర్తిగా సిరిసిల్ల చేనేత కార్మికులు తయారు చేస్తున్నారు. ఉత్పత్తి ఆలస్యం అవుతున్న నేపథ్యంలో ఉత్పత్తికి అనుగుణంగా చీరల పంపిణీని రెండు దశల్లో చేపట్టాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు చెప్పారు.
తొలి దశలో ఇందిరా గాంధీ గారి జయంతి రోజు నుంచి డిసెంబరు 9 తెలంగాణ తల్లి అవతరణ దినోత్సవం వరకు గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లో చీరల పంపిణీ ప్రక్రియను పూర్తి చేయాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు ఆదేశించారు. రెండవ దశలో పట్టణ ప్రాంతాల్లో మార్చి 1 నుంచి మార్చి 8 అంతర్జాతీయ మహిళా దినోత్సవం వరకు చీరల పంపిణీ పూర్తి చేయాలన్నారు.
చీరల నాణ్యత విషయంలో రాజీపడొద్దని, మహిళలకు నాణ్యమైన చీరలను అందించాలని చెప్పారు. సాంకేతికను వినియోగించుకుని ఇందిరమ్మ చీరల పంపిణీ పారదర్శకంగా జరిగేలా చూడాలని, పంపిణీ ప్రక్రియను నిరంతరం పర్యవేక్షించాలని అధికారులకు సూచించారు.
ఇందిరా గాంధీ గారి జయంతి సందర్భంగా బుధవారం మధ్యాహ్నం 12 గంటలకు నెక్లెస్ రోడ్లోని ఇందిరా గాంధీ విగ్రహం వద్ద నివాళులు అర్పించిన అనంతరం ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు చీరల పంపిణీని లాంఛనంగా ప్రారంభిస్తారు. అనంతరం సెక్రటేరియట్ నుంచి గ్రామీణ ప్రాంత మహిళలతో వీడియో కాన్ఫరెన్స్ ద్వారా ముఖాముఖి మాట్లాడుతారు.
రాష్ట్ర మంత్రులు, ఎమ్మెల్యేలు, ఎమ్మెల్సీలు అందుబాటులో ఉన్న కలెక్టరేట్ల నుంచి వీడీయో కాన్ఫరెన్స్లో పాల్గొనాలని చెప్పారు.
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister late Smt. Indira Gandhi, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy will formally launch the distribution of one crore sarees to one crore eligible women across Telangana. The Chief Minister reviewed the Indiramma saree scheme in a meeting with Minister Smt. Dhanasari Anasuya (Seethakka) and senior officials.
He directed the officials to ensure that every eligible woman receives an Indiramma saree. All sarees for statewide distribution are being woven exclusively by the handloom workers of Sircilla. Due to production delays, the Chief Minister instructed that the distribution be carried out in two phases based on production readiness.
In the first phase, distribution in rural areas must be completed between Indira Gandhi’s birth anniversary and December 9 (Telangana Talli Avatarana Dinotsavam). In the second phase, distribution in urban areas must be completed from March 1 to March 8 (International Women’s Day).
He emphasised that there must be no compromise on the quality of sarees and that only high-quality sarees should reach the women. He directed the officials to leverage technology for transparent distribution of Indiramma sarees and to continuously monitor the entire process.
On Indira Gandhi’s birth anniversary, the Chief Minister will pay tributes at her statue on Necklace Road at 12 noon on Wednesday and thereafter formally launch the saree distribution programme. Subsequently, from the Secretariat, he will interact directly with rural women beneficiaries through video conference.
He instructed all State Ministers, MLAs, and MLCs to participate in the video conference from their respective district Collectorate offices.
