తెలంగాణ విద్యా రంగంలో సమూల మార్పులు తేవడానికి తాము చేస్తున్నకృషికి మద్దతు ఇవ్వాలని కేంద్ర ఆర్థిక శాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీమతి నిర్మలా సీతారామన్ గారికి ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. తెలంగాణలో సుమారు 90 శాతంగా ఉన్న బీసీ, ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీ, మైనారిటీ వర్గాల్లోని పిల్లలకు కార్పొరేట్ తరహా విద్యను అందించేందుకు తమ ప్రభుత్వం తీసుకుంటున్న చర్యలను కేంద్ర మంత్రి గారికి వివరించారు.
ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు ఢిల్లీ నార్త్ బ్లాక్ లో కేంద్ర ఆర్థిక శాఖ మంత్రి గారితో సమావేశమయ్యారు. రాష్ట్రంలోని 105 శాసనసభ నియోజకవర్గాల్లో 105 యంగ్ ఇండియా ఇంటిగ్రేటెడ్ స్కూళ్లను నిర్మించనున్నట్లు తెలిపారు. ఇప్పటికే నాలుగు పాఠశాలల నిర్మాణ పనులు మొదలయ్యాయని, మిగతా పాఠశాలలకు సంబంధించి టెండర్లు ముగిశాయన్నారు. ఒక్కో పాఠశాలలో 2,560 మంది విద్యార్థులు ఉంటారని, 2.70 లక్షల మంది విద్యార్థులకు ఈ పాఠశాలల్లో చదువుకునే అవకాశం లభిస్తుందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు వివరించారు.
అత్యాధునిక వసతులు, ల్యాబ్లు, స్టేడియాలతో నిర్మించే ఈ 105 యంగ్ ఇండియా ఇంటిగ్రేటెడ్ రెసిడెన్షియల్ స్కూళ్ల నిర్మాణానికి రూ.21 వేల కోట్ల వ్యయమవుతుందని వివరించారు. అలాగే రాష్ట్రంలో జూనియర్, డిగ్రీ, సాంకేతిక కళాశాలలు, ఇతర ఉన్నత విద్యా సంస్థల్లో ఆధునిక ల్యాబ్లు, ఇతర మౌలిక వసతుల కల్పనకు రూ.9 వేల కోట్లు వెచ్చించనున్నట్లు కేంద్ర మంత్రి గారికి సీఎం గారు తెలిపారు.
ఈ నిధుల సమీకరణకు ప్రత్యేక కార్పొరేషన్ ఏర్పాటుకు అనుమతించడంతో పాటు ఎఫ్ఆర్బీఎం పరిమితి నుంచి మినహాయించాలని నిర్మలా సీతారామన్ గారిని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం విద్యా రంగంపై చేస్తున్న వ్యయాన్ని పెట్టుబడిగా పరిగణించాలని కోరారు.
గత ప్రభుత్వంలో అధిక వడ్డీలకు అప్పులు తీసుకువచ్చిందని, వాటి చెల్లింపు రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వానికి భారంగా మారిన నేపథ్యంలో వాటి రీస్ట్రక్చరింగ్కు అనుమతించాలని కోరారు. ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు చేసిన విజ్ఞప్తులపై నిర్మలా సీతారామన్ గారు సానుకూలంగా స్పందించారు.
ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారితో పాటు కేంద్ర మంత్రి గారిని కలిసిన వారిలో ఎంపీలు డాక్టర్ మల్లు రవి గారు, పోరిక బలరాం నాయక్ గారు, సురేశ్ షెట్కార్ గారు, చామల కిరణ్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి గారితో పాటు ప్రభుత్వ ఉన్నతాధికారులు ఉన్నారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy met Hon’ble Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman at North Block, New Delhi, and sought the Centre’s support for transformative initiatives in Telangana’s education sector.
The Chief Minister explained that the State Government is taking steps to provide corporate-level education to children from BC, SC, ST, and minority communities, who together constitute nearly 90% of Telangana’s population.
He informed the Union Minister that 105 Young India Integrated Schools are being established, one in each Assembly constituency. Construction work has already commenced for four schools, while tenders for the remaining have been finalized. Each school will accommodate 2,560 students, enabling nearly 2.70 lakh children across the state to access quality education.
Highlighting the State’s vision, the Chief Minister said these integrated residential schools will be equipped with modern facilities, laboratories, and stadiums, at a total estimated cost of ₹21,000 crore. He also conveyed that an additional ₹9,000 crore will be invested to strengthen infrastructure, including advanced labs, in junior colleges, degree colleges, technical institutions, and other higher education centres.
The Chief Minister urged the Union Minister to permit the creation of a special corporation for mobilising these funds and to exempt them from the FRBM limits. He requested that expenditure on education be treated as a long-term investment.
Referring to the financial challenges inherited from the previous government, he appealed for approval to restructure high-interest loans, which have become a burden on the State exchequer.
Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman responded positively to the Chief Minister’s representations.
Along with the Chief Minister, MPs Dr. Mallu Ravi, Porika Balaram Nayak, Suresh Shetkar, Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, and senior government officials were present at the meeting.
