తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం ప్రతిష్టాత్మకంగా చేపట్టనున్న గాంధీ సరోవర్ ప్రాజెక్టుకు రక్షణ శాఖ భూములు బదలాయించాలని కేంద్ర రక్షణ శాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీ రాజ్నాథ్ సింగ్ గారికి ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు.
ఢిల్లీ పర్యటనలో ఉన్న ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు కేంద్ర మంత్రి రాజ్నాథ్ సింగ్ గారితో వారి నివాసంలో సమావేశమయ్యారు. మూసీ, ఈసా నదుల సంగమ స్థలిలో గాంధీ సరోవర్ ప్రాజెక్టు చేపట్టనున్న ప్రణాళికపై ఈ సందర్భంగా కేంద్ర మంత్రి గారికి సమగ్రంగా వివరించారు.
ఈ రెండు నదుల సంగమ స్థలంలో గాంధీ సర్కిల్ ఆఫ్ యూనిటీ నిర్మాణం చేపడతామని, ఇందుకు అక్కడ ఉన్న 98.20 ఎకరాల రక్షణ శాఖ భూములు రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వానికి బదలాయించాలని కోరారు. జాతీయ సమైక్యత, గాంధేయ విలువలకు సంకేతంగా ప్రతిష్టాత్మకంగా గాంధీ సరోవర్ ప్రాజెక్టు నిర్మాణం చేపట్టనున్నట్లు తెలిపారు.
గాంధీ సరోవర్ ప్రాజెక్టులో గాంధీ సిద్ధాంతాలను ప్రచారం చేసే నాలెడ్జ్ హబ్, ధ్యాన గ్రామం, చేనేత ప్రచార కేంద్రం, ప్రజా వినోద స్థలాలు, ల్యాండ్ స్కేప్, ఘాట్లు, శాంతి విగ్రహం మ్యూజియం నిర్మిస్తామని వివరించారు.
రాజ్నాథ్ గారితో జరిగిన సమావేశంలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారితో పాటు ఎంపీలు పోరిక బలరాం నాయక్ గారు, చామల కిరణ్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి గారు, కడియం కావ్య గారు, మూసీ రివర్ డెవలప్మెంట్ కార్పొరేషన్ మేనేజింగ్ డైరెక్టర్ ఇవి నరసింహారెడ్డి గారు, కేంద్ర ప్రాజెక్టులు, పథకాల సమన్వయకర్త డాక్టర్ గౌరవ్ ఉప్పల్ గారు పాల్గొన్నారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy requested Hon’ble Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh to transfer Defence Department lands required for the prestigious Gandhi Sarovar project to be undertaken by the Telangana Government.
During his visit to Delhi, the Chief Minister met the Union Minister at his residence and presented a detailed explanation of the project to be developed at the confluence of the Musi and Isa rivers.
The Chief Minister explained that the Gandhi Circle of Unity will be established at this confluence, and for this purpose, 98.20 acres of Defence Department land needs to be transferred to the State. He said that the Gandhi Sarovar project will stand as a symbol of national unity and Gandhian values.
The project will feature a Knowledge Hub, Meditation Village, Handloom Promotion Centre, landscaped public spaces, ghats, recreational facilities, and a Peace Statue Museum.
MPs Porika Balaram Nayak, Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, Kadiam Kavya, Musi River Development Corporation MD Evi Narasimha Reddy, and Central Projects and Schemes Coordinator Dr Gaurav Uppal accompanied the Chief Minister during the meeting.
