రాష్ట్రంలో విద్యుత్ పంపిణీ వ్యవస్థలకు సంబంధించి ప్రస్తుతం ఉన్న రెండు డిస్కంలను మూడు డిస్కంలుగా పునర్విభజన చేయాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు. మంత్రిమండలి ఆమోదం తర్వాత మూడో డిస్కంపై ముందుకు వెళ్లాలని చెప్పారు.
ఇందన శాఖపై ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు, ఉప ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ మల్లు భట్టి విక్రమార్క గారితో కలిసి ఇంధన శాఖ, సంబంధిత శాఖల ఉన్నతాధికారుల సమావేశంలో సుదీర్ఘంగా సమీక్షించారు. మూడవ డిస్కం ఏర్పాటుకు వీలైనంత తొందరగా పూర్తిస్థాయి ప్రణాళికను సిద్ధం చేయాలని, సంబంధిత పీపీఏ అలొకేషన్, సిబ్బంది, ఆస్తుల విభజన, బకాయిలు, ఇతర అంశాలపై ఈ సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు అధికారులకు పలు సూచనలు చేశారు.
రాష్ట్రంలో సదరన్ పవర్ డిస్ట్రిబ్యూషన్ (TGSPDCL) , నార్తర్న్ పవర్ డిస్ట్రిబ్యూషన్ (TGNPDCL) లతో పాటు మరో డిస్కం ఏర్పాటు ప్రతిపాదనలపై ఇంధన శాఖ సిద్ధం చేసిన ప్రాథమిక ప్రణాళికను అధికారులు ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారికి వివరించారు.
వ్యవసాయం, మేజర్, మైనర్ లిఫ్ట్ ఇరిగేషన్, గ్రామీణ మంచినీటి సరఫరా, జీహెచ్ఎంసీ పరిధిలో మంచినీటి సరఫరాకు సంబంధించిన విద్యుత్ వినియోగాన్ని కొత్త డిస్కం పరిధిలోకి తేవాలన్న ప్రతిపాదనలను వివరించారు.
గ్రేటర్ హైదరాబాద్లో అండర్ గ్రౌండ్ విద్యుత్ కేబులింగ్ విధానంపై పలు ప్రతిపాదనలు, డీపీఆర్ తయారీకి సంబంధించిన అంశాలను ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారికి వివరించారు. వీటితో పాటు కోర్ అర్బన్ రీజియన్లో విద్యుత్ సబ్ స్టేషన్లను అధునీకరించే అంశాలను తెలియజేశారు.
వచ్చే రెండున్నరేళ్లలో కోర్ అర్బన్ రీజియన్లో అండర్ గ్రౌండ్ కేబులింగ్ పూర్తి చేయాలని అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు పలు సూచనలు చేశారు.
కోర్ అర్బన్ రీజియన్లో ఎక్కడెక్కడ కొత్త విద్యుత్ సబ్ స్టేషన్ల అవసరం ఉందో గుర్తించాలి.
ఓవర్ లోడ్ సమస్య తలెత్తకుండా లోడ్ రీప్లేస్మెంట్ చర్యలు చేపట్టాలి.
సబ్ స్టేషన్ సామర్థ్యంకన్నా ఒక్క కనెక్షన్ కూడా ఎక్కువ ఉండకుండా జాగ్రత్తలు తీసుకోవాలి.
అవసరమైన చోట సబ్ స్టేషన్ సామర్థ్యాన్ని పెంచుకోవాలి.
విద్యుత్ సబ్ స్టేషన్లలో అధునాతన సాంకేతికతను ఉపయోగించాలి.
విద్యుత్ కేబుళ్లతో పాటు ఇతర కేబుళ్లు సైతం అండర్ గ్రౌండ్ వ్యవస్థను ఉపయోగించుకునేలా ఉండాలి.
దీనిపై బెంగుళూరుతో పాటు ఇతర రాష్ట్రాల్లో అండర్ గ్రౌండ్ కేబులింగ్ ప్రాజెక్టులను అధ్యయనం చేయాలి. వచ్చే డిసెంబర్లోగా ఈ ప్రాజెక్టుకు సంబంధించి పూర్తిస్థాయి ప్రణాళికలు రూపొందించాలి.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy directed officials to restructure the state’s power distribution system by redividing the existing two DISCOMs into three. He stated that the proposal for the third DISCOM should be taken up after obtaining Cabinet approval.
The Chief Minister, along with Deputy Chief Minister Shri Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, held an extensive review meeting with senior officials of the Energy Department and allied departments. He instructed them to prepare a comprehensive plan at the earliest for the establishment of the third DISCOM, covering aspects such as PPA allocation, staff deployment, division of assets, dues, and other related matters.
Officials presented to the Chief Minister the preliminary plan prepared by the Energy Department regarding the proposal to set up another DISCOM, in addition to the existing Southern Power Distribution (TGSPDCL) and Northern Power Distribution (TGNPDCL).
Proposals were also discussed to bring electricity consumption related to agriculture, major and minor lift irrigation, rural drinking water supply, and drinking water supply within GHMC limits under the purview of the new DISCOM.
The Chief Minister was briefed on various proposals for introducing underground electricity cabling in Greater Hyderabad and on the preparation of the DPR. Plans for modernizing power substations in the core urban region were also shared.
The officials were instructed to complete underground cabling in the core urban region within the next two and a half years. On this occasion, the Chief Minister gave the following directives:
Identify locations in the core urban region where new substations are required.
Undertake load replacement measures to prevent overload issues.
Ensure that substations do not exceed their designed capacity.
Augment substation capacity wherever required.
Deploy advanced technology in power substations.
Facilitate the use of the underground system for other utilities’ cables along with power cables.
Study underground cabling projects in Bengaluru and other states for best practices.
The Chief Minister instructed that full-fledged plans for this project should be prepared by December.
