తెలంగాణలో పెండింగ్లో ఉన్న రైల్వే ప్రాజెక్టులు, లైన్లను వేగవంతంగా పూర్తి చేసేందుకు రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం పూర్తి సహాయ సహకారాలు అందిస్తుందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు స్పష్టం చేశారు. అవసరమైన నిధులను సమకూర్చటంతో పాటు భూ సేకరణకు రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం సిద్ధంగా ఉందని చెప్పారు. భవిష్యత్తు అవసరాలకు అనుగుణంగా ప్రాజెక్టుల అలైన్మెంట్ ఉండాలని దూరాభారం తగ్గించి, అంచనా ఖర్చును కూడా తగ్గించుకోవాలని సూచించారు.
తెలంగాణలో పెండింగ్ రైల్వే ప్రాజెక్టులు, భవిష్యత్తు అవసరాలకు అనుగుణంగా చేపట్టాల్సిన ప్రాజెక్టుల విషయాలపై కమాండ్ కంట్రోల్ సెంటర్ లో రైల్వేతో పాటు రాష్ట్ర ఉన్నతాధికారులతో ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు సమీక్ష సమావేశం నిర్వహించారు. రాష్ట్రంలో పారిశ్రామిక ప్రగతికి తోడ్పడే ప్రత్యేక రైల్వే లైనుతో పాటు పలు ప్రాజెక్టులను వివరించారు.
ప్రయాణికులకు వేగవంతమైన రవాణా సదుపాయాలు అందించటంతో పాటు కొత్తగా వేసే రైలు మార్గాలన్నీ ఆయా ప్రాంతాల సర్వతోముఖాభివృద్ధికి ఉపయోగపడేలా ఉండాలన్నారు. ప్రధానంగా పర్యాటక కేంద్రాలు, పారిశ్రామిక అవసరాలను దృష్టిలో ఉంచుకోవాలన్నారు. విదేశాల తరహాలో రైలు, రోడ్డు, పోర్ట్ కనెక్టివిటీని అధునాతనంగా అభివృద్ధి చేయాలన్నారు.
భారత్ ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీ నుంచి అమరావతి మీదుగా బందరు పోర్టు వరకు గ్రీన్ ఫీల్డ్ హైవేతో పాటు అనుసంధానంగా రైల్వే లైన్ ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి అన్నారు. రాష్ట్ర పునర్విభజన చట్టంలోని హామీ ప్రకారం హైదరాబాద్ నుంచి అమరావతికి ర్యాపిడ్ రైల్ అండ్ రోడ్డు కనెక్టివిటీ ప్రాజెక్టును కేంద్రం అమలు చేయాల్సి ఉందన్నారు.
కొత్తగా ప్రభుత్వం అభివృద్ధి చేస్తున్న భారత్ ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీ నుంచి అమరావతి మీదుగా బందర్ వరకు 12 లేన్ల గ్రీన్ ఫీల్డ్ హైవే ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని కేంద్రానికి విజ్ఞప్తి చేశామని, అందుకు సంబంధించి 300 కిలోమీటర్ల అలైన్మెంట్ ప్రతిపాదనలను కూడా ప్రభుత్వం తయారు చేసిందన్నారు. హైవే వెంట రైలుమార్గం ఉండాలని, హైవేకు ఇరువైపులా ఒకటిన్నర కిలోమీటరు దూరం వరకు ఇండస్ట్రియల్ కారిడార్ను విస్తరించాలనే ప్రతిపాదనలున్నాయని చెప్పారు.
కొత్తగా అభివృద్ధి చేస్తున్న గ్రీన్ ఫీల్డ్ హైవే ప్రతిపాదనలకు అనుగుణంగా హైదరాబాద్ - చెన్నై, హైదరాబాద్ – బెంగుళూరు హైస్పీడ్ బుల్లెట్ రైలు ప్రాజెక్టుల సర్వే, అలైన్మెంట్ ప్రతిపాదనలను మరోసారి పరిశీలించాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు రైల్వే అధికారులకు సూచించారు.
హైదరాబాద్ చుట్టూ రీజనల్ రింగ్ రైల్ ఆవశ్యకతను ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు అధికారులకు వివరించారు. దాదాపు 362 కిలోమీటర్ల మేరకు రీజనల్ రింగ్ రోడ్డు వెంట రింగ్ రైలు ఏర్పాటు చేయటంతో హైదరాబాద్ మహా నగరం భవిష్యత్తు స్వరూపం మారిపోతుందన్నారు. వీలైనంత తొందరగా ఈ ప్రాజెక్టును చేపట్టేందుకు అవసరమైన చర్యలు చేపట్టాలని రైల్వే అధికారులకు సూచించారు. తెలంగాణ ఇండస్ట్రియల్ సెక్టార్ కోసం ప్రత్యేక రైల్వే లైన్ ఉండేలా ఈ కనెక్టివిటీ ఉండాలన్నారు.
వికారాబాద్ – కృష్ణా కొత్త రైల్వే లైన్ పనులను వీలైనంత త్వరగా చేపట్టాలని, దీంతో పాటు గద్వాల – డోర్నకల్ రైల్వే లైన్ పనుల డీపీఆర్ పూర్తి చేసి వేగంగా చేపట్టాలన్నారు. వరంగల్ జిల్లాలో రైల్వే లైన్లను అభివృద్ధి చేయాలని, భూపాలపల్లి నుంచి వరంగల్ కొత్త మార్గాన్ని పరిశీలించాలని చెప్పారు. కాజీపేట జంక్షన్లో ప్రయాణికుల అవసరాలకు అనుగుణంగా అభివృద్ధి పనులు చేపట్టాలని అన్నారు.
ఈ సమావేశంలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి సలహాదారు వేం నరేందర్ రెడ్డి గారు, దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే జీఎం సంజయ్ కుమార్ శ్రీవాస్తవ గారు, ఎంపీ కడియం కావ్య గారు, ప్రభుత్వ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి రామకృష్ణా రావు గారితో పాటు ఇతర ఉన్నతాధికారులు, దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే ఉన్నతాధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy has assured that the Telangana Government will extend full support for the speedy completion of pending railway projects and new railway lines in the state. He said the government is ready to provide the required funds and facilitate land acquisition, while also stressing that railway project alignments should be designed to meet future needs, reduce travel distance, and minimize costs.
The Chief Minister conducted a review meeting with Railway and state officials at the Command Control Center on ongoing projects and future proposals. He highlighted several initiatives, including a dedicated railway line to boost industrial growth in Telangana.
He stated that apart from facilitating fast passenger transport, the new railway lines should also drive comprehensive regional development. Tourism potential and industrial requirements must be prioritized. He emphasized that rail, road, and port connectivity should be developed in a modern, global-standard manner.
The Chief Minister proposed the construction of a greenfield highway from Bharat Future City to Bandar Port via Amaravati, along with a parallel railway line. He reminded that the Center is obligated under the State Reorganization Act to implement the promised Rapid Rail and Road Connectivity Project between Hyderabad and Amaravati.
The state government has also requested the Center to construct a 12-lane greenfield highway on this route and has prepared a 300 km alignment proposal. He explained that the highway should include a railway line and an industrial corridor stretching up to 1.5 km on either side.
He directed railway officials to re-examine survey and alignment proposals for the Hyderabad–Chennai and Hyderabad–Bengaluru high-speed bullet train projects in line with the new greenfield highway.
Stressing the need for a Regional Ring Rail around Hyderabad, he said the 362 km rail corridor alongside the Regional Ring Road would transform the city’s future. He added that this project must include a dedicated line for Telangana’s industrial sector.
The Chief Minister called for immediate action on the Vikarabad–Krishna railway line, speedy completion of the DPR for the Gadwal–Dornakal line, and its early execution. He also proposed examining a new Bhupalpally–Warangal route, expansion of railway lines in Warangal district, and modernization of Kazipet Junction to meet passenger needs.
Advisor to the Chief Minister Vem Narender Reddy, South Central Railway GM Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, MP Kadiyam Kavya, Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, and other senior state and railway officials attended the meeting.
