హైదరాబాద్ నగరంలో భారీ వర్షాల కారణంగా వరదలతో ముంచెత్తుతున్న ప్రాంతాల్లో ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు ఆకస్మిక తనిఖీలు నిర్వహించారు. ఇటీవల తక్కువ సమయంలో విపరీతమైన వర్షం కురవడం, పలుచోట్ల వరదలు ముంచెత్తుతున్న ప్రాంతాలను క్షేత్రస్థాయిలో తనిఖీ చేసిన ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు అలాంటి ప్రాంతాల్లో శాశ్వత పరిష్కార చర్యలు చేపట్టాలని అధికారులకు ఆదేశాలు జారీ చేశారు.
అమీర్పేట్ బుద్ధనగర్, మైత్రివనం, బాల్కంపేట తదితర ప్రాంతాల్లో వరద ముంపుతో ప్రభావిత కాలనీలను ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు ఆదివారం ఆకస్మిక సందర్శించి పరిశీలించారు. బుద్ధనగర్లో వరద నీటి డ్రెయిన్ సిస్టమ్ను పరిశీలించి అక్కడే అధికారులకు తగిన సూచనలు చేశారు.
బాల్కంపేట ముంపు ప్రభావిత ప్రాంతంలో తలెత్తుతున్న సమస్యలను హైడ్రా కమిషనర్, ఇతర అధికారులను అడిగి తెలుసుకున్నారు. బుద్ధనగర్ ప్రాంతంలో కాలనీ రోడ్డు కంటే డ్రైనేజీ కాలువ ఎక్కువ ఎత్తులో ఉండటంతో ఇరుకుగా మారి వరద తీవ్రత పెరుగుతోందని గమనించిన ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు వెంటనే తగిన చర్యలు చేపట్టాలని ఆదేశించారు.
ఆ కాలనీకి పక్కనే గంగూబాయి బస్తీకుంటను సందర్శించి ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు అధికారులకు పలు సూచనలు చేశారు. బస్తీకుంటను కొంతమంది పూడ్చేసి పార్కింగ్ కోసం వినియోగిస్తున్నారని స్థానికులు కొందరు ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారికి ఫిర్యాదు చేశారు.
ఆ ప్రాంతంలో ప్రత్యేక ట్రంక్ లైన్ ఏర్పాటు చేసి వరద సమస్యకు శాశ్వత పరిష్కారం చూపాలని, అందుకు వెంటనే ప్రణాళికలు సిద్ధం చేయాలని అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు. ఇటీవల పలు సందర్భాల్లో వరద నీరు నిలిచిన మైత్రీవనం వద్ద పరిస్థితిని పరిశీలించారు. స్థానికుల నుంచి వివరాలను అడిగి తెలుసుకున్నారు.
అమీర్ పేట బుద్ధనగర్లో జశ్వంత్ అనే బాలుడితో ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు వివరాలు ఆరా తీశారు. బాలుడిని వెంట తీసుకుని ఆ ప్రాంతాన్ని కలియతిరిగారు. తాను 7 వ తరగతి చదువుతున్నానని, వరద నీరు ఇంట్లోకి వచ్చి పుస్తకాలు తడిసిపోయాయని ఆ బాలుడు ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారికి వివరించారు. భవిష్యత్తులో వరద పరిస్థితులు తలెత్తకుండా శాశ్వత పరిష్కారం చూపిస్తానని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు బాలుడికి ధైర్యం చెప్పారు.
ఆయా ప్రాంతాలను పరిశీలించిన తర్వాత ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు తీసుకోవలసిన చర్యలపై జీహెచ్ఎంసీ కమిషనర్, హైడ్రా కమిషనర్లకు, సంబంధిత అధికారులకు పలు ఆదేశాలు జారీ చేశారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy conducted surprise inspections in flood-affected areas of Hyderabad following recent heavy rains. Visiting Ameerpet, Buddhanagar, Maitrivanam, Balkampet, and nearby colonies, he reviewed conditions on the ground and directed officials to take permanent remedial measures.
In Buddhanagar, the Chief Minister inspected the floodwater drain system, noting that the drainage canal was higher than the colony road and had narrowed over time, worsening flooding. He ordered immediate corrective works. At Gangubai Bastikunta, locals complained about encroachments and illegal parking. The Chief Minister instructed officials to act swiftly to protect the water body.
He called for a special trunk line to address persistent flooding in the Balkampet-Buddhanagar stretch and inspected stagnant water points in Maitrivanam, interacting with residents for feedback. In Ameerpet Buddhanagar, he met Jaswant, a 7th standard student, who said floodwater had entered his home and damaged his books. The Chief Minister assured a lasting solution.
Concluding the inspections, he issued clear directives to the GHMC Commissioner, Hydra Commissioners, and other officials to take prompt and effective action.
