జాతీయ, అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయి క్రీడా పోటీలు ఏవైనా తెలంగాణలో నిర్వహించడానికి అవకాశం ఇవ్వాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు కేంద్ర కార్మిక, ఉపాధి, యువజన సర్వీసులు, క్రీడల శాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీ మన్ సుఖ్ మాండవీయ గారిని కోరారు. ఢిల్లీ పర్యటనలో భాగంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు కేంద్ర మంత్రిని కలిసి ఆ మేరకు విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు.ప్రధానంగా ఖేలో ఇండియా గేమ్స్, 40వ జాతీయ క్రీడలు, లేదా ఇతర జాతీయ, అంతర్జాతీయ క్రీడలను తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రంలో నిర్వహించడానికి అవకాశం ఇవ్వాలని కోరారు.
అలాగే, ఖేలో ఇండియా పథకం కింద క్రీడాకారుల శిక్షణ, క్రీడా వసతుల అభివృద్ధికి నిధులు కేటాయించాలని కేంద్ర మంత్రి గారిని కోరారు. జాతీయ క్రీడల్లో పాల్గొనే క్రీడాకారులకు గతంలో మాదిరే రైలు ప్రయాణ ఛార్జీల్లో రాయితీ కల్పించాలని విన్నవించారు.
కేంద్ర మంత్రిని కలిసిన సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారితో పాటు ఎంపీలు డాక్టర్ మల్లు రవి గారు, చామల కిరణ్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి గారు, ప్రభుత్వ సలహాదారు (క్రీడలు) ఏపీ జితేందర్ రెడ్డి గారు ఉన్నారు.
During his visit to New Delhi, Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy met with Hon’ble Union Minister for Labour, Employment, Youth Services and Sports, Sri Mansukh Mandaviya, and urged the Centre to grant Telangana the opportunity to host major national and international sporting events.
The Chief Minister specifically requested that the Khelo India Games, the 40th National Games, and other prominent sporting events be allotted to Telangana. He emphasised that the state is equipped with the necessary infrastructure and is committed to promoting sports and nurturing athletic talent.
In addition, the Chief Minister appealed for financial support under the Khelo India Scheme for developing sports infrastructure and providing advanced training to athletes in the state. He also urged the Centre to reinstate travel concessions for athletes participating in national-level competitions, as was the practice earlier.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Members of Parliament Sri Mallu Ravi and Sri Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, along with Government Advisor (Sports) Sri A.P. Jitender Reddy.
