తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర అవసరాలకు కేటాయించిన యూరియాను సకాలంలో సరఫరా చేయాలని కేంద్ర ఎరువులు, రసాయనాల శాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీ జేపీ నడ్డా గారికి ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. ఢిల్లీ పర్యటనలో భాగంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు కేంద్ర మంత్రిని ఆయన నివాసంలో కలిశారు.
వానా కాలం సీజన్కు సంబంధించి ఏప్రిల్ – జూన్ మధ్య రాష్ట్రానికి 5 లక్షల మెట్రిక్ టన్నులకు గానూ కేవలం 3.07 లక్షల మెట్రిక్ టన్నులు మాత్రమే సరఫరా చేశారని కేంద్ర మంత్రి దృష్టికి తెచ్చారు.
రాష్ట్రంలో ప్రాజెక్టులకు నీరు రావడం, వ్యవసాయ పనులు జోరుగా సాగుతున్న సమయంలో యూరియా సరఫరా కాకపోవడంతో రైతులు ఇబ్బందులు పడుతున్నారని కేంద్ర మంత్రికి వివరించారు.
జులై నెలకు సంబంధించి దేశీయంగా ఉత్పత్తయిన యూరియా 63 వేల మెట్రిక్ టన్నులు, విదేశాల నుంచి దిగుమతి చేసుకున్న యూరియా 97 వేల మెట్రిక్ టన్నులు రాష్ట్రానికి సరఫరా చేయాల్సి ఉండగా, ఇప్పటివరకు కేవలం 29 వేల మెట్రిక్ టన్నుల యూరియా మాత్రమే చేశారని వివరిస్తూ వెంటనే విడుదల చేయాలని కోరారు.
అలాగే, తెలంగాణకు దేశీయంగా ఉత్పత్తి అవుతున్న యూరియా కోటాను పెంచాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. యూరియా సరఫరాకు సంబంధించి రైల్వే శాఖ తగిన రేక్లు కేటాయించడం లేదని, వాటి సంఖ్య కూడా పెంచాలని కోరారు.
కేంద్ర మంత్రి గారితో జరిగిన సమావేశంలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారితో పాటు రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ సలహాదారు ఏపీ జితేందర్ రెడ్డి గారు, ఎంపీలు డాక్టర్ మల్లు రవి గారు, చామల కిరణ్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి గారితో పాటు ఉన్నతాధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy has requested Hon’ble Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers Shri J.P. Nadda to ensure timely supply of urea allocated for the needs of Telangana state. As part of his visit to Delhi, the Chief Minister met the Union Minister at his residence.
He brought to the Union Minister’s attention that only 3.07 lakh metric tons of urea were supplied to the state between April and June for the ongoing rainy season.
He explained that farmers are facing hardships due to the non-supply of urea at a time when water is unavailable for irrigation projects and agricultural activities are in full swing across the state.
For the month of July, 63 thousand metric tons of domestically produced urea and 97 thousand metric tons of imported urea were scheduled to be supplied to the state. However, only 29 thousand metric tons have been received so far, and the Chief Minister requested that the remaining quantity be released immediately.
The Chief Minister also appealed to increase the quota of domestically produced urea for Telangana. He pointed out that the Railways Department is not allocating an adequate number of rakes for urea transport and requested an increase in their allocation.
State Government Advisor AP Jitender Reddy, MPs Dr. Mallu Ravi, Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, and other senior officials accompanied the Chief Minister during the meeting with the Union Minister.
