పదవ తరగతిలో ఉత్తీర్ణులైన ప్రతి విద్యార్థి తప్పనిసరిగా ఇంటర్మీడియట్ పూర్తి చేసేలా అవసరమైన చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు. 10 వ తరగతిలో పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో ఉత్తీర్ణత కనిపిస్తున్నప్పటికీ ఇంటర్మీడియట్ పూర్తయ్యే సరికి ఆ సంఖ్య గణనీయంగా తగ్గిపోవడానికి గల కారణాలను అధ్యయనం చేసి వాటి పరిష్కారానికి కృషి చేయాలని సూచించారు.
ఇంటిగ్రేటెడ్ కమాండ్ అండ్ కంట్రోల్ సెంటర్ (ICCC) లో ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు విద్యా శాఖపై సమీక్ష నిర్వహించారు. ప్రతి విద్యార్థి జీవితంలో ఇంటర్మీడియట్ దశ కీలకమైనందున, ఆ దశలో విద్యార్థికి సరైన మార్గదర్శకత్వం అందించాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని సీఎం గారు అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. ఇతర రాష్ట్రాల్లో 9 వ తరగతి నుంచి 12వ తరగతి వరకు అమలు చేస్తున్నారని, అందువల్ల అక్కడ డ్రాపౌట్స్ సంఖ్య తక్కువగా ఉందని అధికారులు వివరించారు.
అలాంటి రాష్ట్రాల్లో అనుసరిస్తున్న విధానాలను అధ్యయనం చేసి సమగ్ర నివేదిక సమర్పించాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు ఆదేశించారు. ఈ విషయంలో విద్యా కమిషన్, ఆ విభాగంలో పని చేసే ఎన్జీవోలు, పౌర సమాజం సూచనలు, సలహాలను పరిగణనలోకి తీసుకోవాలని సూచించారు. ఇంటర్మీడియట్ విద్యను పటిష్టపరచడానికి శాసనసభలోనూ చర్చకు పెడతామని, ఇంటర్లో విద్యార్థుల చేరికతో పాటు వారి హాజరుపైనా దృష్టిపెట్టాలన్నారు.
యంగ్ ఇండియా ఇంటిగ్రేటెడ్ రెసిడెన్షియల్ స్కూళ్ళ (Young India Integrated Residential School) నమూనాలను ఈ సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు పరిశీలించారు. ప్రతి పాఠశాల ఆవరణలో భారీ జాతీయ జెండా ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని సూచించారు. పాఠశాలల నిర్మాణం ప్రక్రియను వేగవంతం చేయాలని, నిర్మాణాల ప్రగతిపై ప్రతి వారం తనకు నివేదిక సమర్పించాలని అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు.
ప్రతి నియోజకవర్గంలో బాలురకు ఒకటి, బాలికలకు ఒకటి యంగ్ ఇండియా ఇంటిగ్రేటెడ్ రెసిడెన్షియల్స్ స్కూళ్ల నిర్మాణాలను చేపడతామన్నారు. ఇప్పటికే ఒక్కో పాఠశాలకు సంబంధించి స్థల సేకరణ పూర్తయినందున, రెండవ పాఠశాలకు సంబంధించిన స్థల గుర్తింపు, సేకరణ ప్రక్రియపై దృష్టి సారించాలని ఆదేశించారు.
వీరనారి చాకలి ఐలమ్మ మహిళా విశ్వవిద్యాలయం నిర్మాణ నమూనాను పరిశీలించిన ముఖ్యమంత్రి పలు మార్పులను సూచించారు. సాధ్యమైనంత త్వరగా టెండర్ల ప్రక్రియను పూర్తి చేయాలని సీఎం ఆదేశించారు.
సమీక్షలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి సలహాదారు వేం నరేందర్ రెడ్డి గారు, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ సలహాదారు కేశవరావు గారు, ఉన్నతవిద్యా మండలి చైర్మన్ గారితో పాటు విద్యా శాఖ ఉన్నతాధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to take necessary measures to ensure that every student who passes the 10th standard also completes intermediate education. Expressing concern over the significant drop in numbers between 10th pass-outs and intermediate completions, he called for a detailed study to identify the reasons behind this gap and resolve them effectively.
The Chief Minister conducted a review of the Education Department at the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC). He emphasized that the intermediate stage is a crucial turning point in a student’s life and stressed the need for proper guidance during this phase. Officials explained that in some other states, student tracking and mentoring are implemented from Class 9 to 12, resulting in fewer dropouts.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to study the education models followed in such states and submit a comprehensive report. He also suggested consulting the Education Commission, NGOs, and civil society for inputs. He stated that strengthening intermediate education will be discussed in the Legislative Assembly, and focus must be laid on improving both enrollment and attendance.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister reviewed models of the Young India Integrated Residential Schools and proposed that a large national flag be installed in each school campus. He directed officials to expedite construction and submit weekly progress reports.
He announced that Young India Integrated Residential Schools—one for boys and one for girls—will be established in every constituency. With site acquisition already completed for one school per constituency, he asked officials to accelerate the process for identifying and acquiring land for the second school.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the construction model of the upcoming Veeranari Chakali Ailamma Women’s University and suggested several changes. He instructed that the tendering process be completed without delay.
Chief Minister’s Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, State Government Advisor Kesava Rao, Chairman of the Higher Education Council, and senior Education Department officials participated in the review meeting.
