హైదరాబాద్లో ప్రతిష్టాత్మకమైన గూగుల్ సేఫ్టీ ఇంజనీరింగ్ సెంటర్ (GSEC) ను ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు లాంఛనంగా ప్రారంభించారు. హైటెక్ సిటీ సమీపంలో దివ్యశ్రీ బిల్డింగ్లో ఐటీ, పరిశ్రమల శాఖ మంత్రి దుద్దిళ్ల శ్రీధర్ బాబు గారితో కలిసి ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు GSEC ను ప్రారంభించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ఏర్పాటు చేసిన కార్యక్రమంలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు మాట్లాడుతూ, ఏసియా-పసిఫిక్ రీజియన్లో గూగుల్ మొట్టమొదటి GSEC సెంటర్ను హైదరాబాద్లో ప్రారంభించడం గర్వకారణంగా ఉందని అన్నారు. ప్రపంచంలో పెట్టుబడులకు గమ్యస్థానం ఏదంటే సమాధానం తెలంగాణ అని వస్తుందని చెప్పారు.
“GSEC అందరూ గర్వపడేలా పని చేస్తుందని విశ్వసిస్తున్నా. అలాగే తెలంగాణ లక్ష్యాలను సాధించడంలో గూగుల్ మద్దతు అవసరం. విద్య, భద్రత, మ్యాపింగ్, ట్రాఫిక్, స్టార్టప్స్, ఆరోగ్యం వంటి అనేక రంగాల్లో ఇప్పటికే గూగుల్తో కలిసి పనిచేస్తున్నాం.
మా ప్రభుత్వంలో భాగస్వాములైన మహిళలు, యువత, రైతులతో పాటు అన్ని వర్గాల ప్రజలకు గూగుల్ సంస్థ తరహాలోనే ఉన్నతమైన జీవన ప్రమాణాలు కల్పించాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాం. అందుకు అందరం కలిసికట్టుగా గొప్ప ప్రమాణాల కోసం ప్రయత్నిద్దాం. అందుకు గూగుల్ సహకారం కావాలి.
రాష్ట్రంలో నిర్ధేశిత లక్ష్యాలను చేరుకోవడానికి ప్రభుత్వం TelanganaRising నినాదంతో ముందుకు వెళుతున్నాం. ఇందులో భాగంగా 2035 నాటికి తెలంగాణ 1 ట్రిలియన్ డాలర్ ఆర్థిక శక్తిగా, 2047 నాటికి 3 మూడు ట్రిలియన్ డాలర్ ఎకానమి వృద్ధిని సాధించాలని లక్ష్యంగా పెట్టుకున్నాం.
గూగుల్ వచ్చినప్పటి నుంచి ప్రపంచ మారింది. జీవితాలు పూర్తిగా డిజిటల్ మయమయ్యాయి. ఎకానమీ, ప్రభుత్వం, జీవితాలు డిజిటల్ గా మారాయి. డిజిటల్ సిస్టం సురక్షితంగా ఉంటే మరింత అభివృద్ధి సాధిస్తాం. అధునాతన సైబర్ సెక్యూరిటీ, భద్రత విషయంలో పరిష్కారాల కోసం గూగుల్ సైబర్ సెక్యూరిటీ హబ్ను ఉపయోగిస్తున్నందుకు గర్విస్తున్నాను.
ఈ సెంటర్ స్కిల్స్ డెవలప్మెంట్పై దృష్టి సారించడమే కాకుండా ఉపాధి అవకాశాలను మెరుగుపరిచి, దేశ సైబర్ సెక్యూరిటీ సామర్థ్యాన్ని పెంచుతుందని భావిస్తున్నా. చెడు కలిగించొద్దన్నది గూగుల్ సంస్థ సిద్ధాంతం. ఆ విధానాన్ని నేను ఇష్టపడుతున్నా. గూగుల్ సంస్థలాగే ప్రభుత్వం కూడా మంచి చేయాలన్న సిద్ధాంతాన్నే విశ్వసిస్తుంది.
గూగుల్ – హైదరాబాద్ పాత మిత్రులు. 2007 లో హైదరాబాద్లో గూగుల్ ప్రారంభమైంది. నేడు 7 వేల మంది పని చేస్తున్నారు. తెలంగాణలో ఇంజనీరింగ్ గ్రాడ్యుయేట్స్కు నైపుణ్యతలో శిక్షణ ఇవ్వడానికి యంగ్ ఇండియా స్కిల్స్ యూనివర్సిటీని ప్రారంభించాం..” అని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు పలు అంశాలను వివరించారు.
ఈ GSEC ప్రారంభ కార్యక్రమంలో గూగుల్ గవర్నమెంట్ అఫేర్స్ – పబ్లిక్ పాలసీ వైస్-ప్రెసిడెంట్ విల్సన్ ఎల్ వైట్ గారు, గూగుల్ యాడ్ స్పేసెస్ వైస్-ప్రెసిడెంట్ అరిజిత్ సర్కార్ గారితో పాటు సంస్థ సీనియర్ ప్రతినిధులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy formally inaugurated the prestigious Google Safety Engineering Center (GSEC) at Divyasree Building near Hitech City, Hyderabad. He was joined by State IT and Industries Minister Sri Duddilla Sridhar Babu for the inauguration ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said it was a moment of pride for Telangana that global tech giant Google chose Hyderabad as the location for its first GSEC in the Asia-Pacific region. “When the world asks where to invest, the answer is Telangana,” he declared.
“I believe GSEC will make us all proud. Telangana’s goals require the support of partners like Google. We are already collaborating with Google in several areas — education, safety, mapping, traffic, startups, and healthcare,” the Chief Minister noted.
“Our vision is to provide a high standard of living to women, youth, farmers, and every section of society — and we see Google as a key partner in this mission. Let us strive together for excellence. Your support is vital,” he appealed.
The Chief Minister stated that the government is advancing with the vision of #TelanganaRising, aiming to transform Telangana into a $1 trillion economy by 2035 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047.
“Since Google entered our lives, the world has changed. Lives, economies, and governments have gone digital. If our digital infrastructure is secure, development will accelerate. I take pride in the establishment of this Google Cybersecurity Hub which will enhance advanced cybersecurity capabilities.”
He added that this center would not only foster skill development but also generate employment and strengthen the nation’s cybersecurity framework. “Google’s philosophy of ‘Do no evil’ is something I deeply appreciate. Like Google, this government is committed to doing good.”
Highlighting Google’s longstanding relationship with Hyderabad, the Chief Minister said, “Google has been a friend of Hyderabad since 2007. Today, it employs nearly 7,000 professionals here. We have also launched Young India Skills University to train engineering graduates and enhance employability.”
Senior executives from Google, including Wilson L White, Vice President – Government Affairs & Public Policy, and Arijit Sarkar, Vice President – Google Ad Spaces, were present at the inauguration along with other company representatives.
