హైదరాబాద్ను దేశంలోనే ఏఐ డేటా సెంటర్ హబ్గా తీర్చిదిద్దాలన్న లక్ష్య సాధనలో రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం మరో కీలక పెట్టుబడిని సాధించింది. ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారి నేతృత్వంలోని ‘తెలంగాణ రైజింగ్’ ప్రతినిధి బృందం దావోస్లో యూపీసీ–వోల్ట్ సంయుక్త భాగస్వామ సంస్థతో అవగాహన ఒప్పందం (ఎంఓయూ) చేసుకుంది.
నెదర్లాండ్స్కు చెందిన యూపీసీ రిన్యూవబుల్స్ గ్రూప్, వోల్ట్ డేటా సెంటర్స్ల సంయుక్త భాగస్వామ్యంలో రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వంతో చేసుకున్న ఒప్పందం ప్రకారం హైదరాబాద్ భారత్ ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీలో 100 మెగావాట్ల సామర్థ్యంతో ఏఐ డేటా సెంటర్ నెలకొల్పుతుంది.
ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారి నేతృత్వంలోని ప్రతినిధి బృందం వోల్ట్ సీఈవో హాన్ డీ గ్రూట్ గారు, యూపీసీ రిన్యూవబుల్స్ (ఆసియా పసిఫిక్) సహ వ్యవస్థాపకుడు స్టీవెన్ జ్వాన్ గారు, యూపీసీ రిన్యూవబుల్స్ ఇండియా సీఈవో అలోక్ నిగమ్ గార్లతో సమావేశమైంది.
ఈ ప్రాజెక్టుకు వచ్చే ఐదేళ్లలో రూ. 5,000 కోట్ల పెట్టుబడి పెట్టనుంది. ఈ డేటా సెంటర్కు అవసరమైన విద్యుత్ సరఫరాకు 100 మెగావాట్ల సామర్థ్యంతో ప్రత్యేక పునరుత్పాదక విద్యుత్ ప్లాంట్ ఏర్పాటు చేయనుంది. ఈ ప్రాజెక్టు నిర్మాణ దశలో దాదాపు 3,000 మందికి ప్రత్యక్షంగా, పరోక్షంగా ఉపాధి అవకాశాలు లభిస్తాయి. డేటా సెంటర్ ప్రారంభమైన తర్వాత మరో 800 మందికి ఉద్యోగ అవకాశాలు దక్కనున్నాయి.
పెట్టుబడుల సాధనలో మంత్రి శ్రీధర్ బాబు గారిని ఈ సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు అభినందిస్తూ, తెలంగాణ రైజింగ్ 2047 నాటికి 3 ట్రిలియన్ డాలర్ల ఆర్థిక శక్తిగా తెలంగాణను తీర్చిదిద్దడంలో ఆధునిక డిజిటల్ మౌలిక వసతులు కీలక పాత్ర పోషిస్తాయని అన్నారు.
మంత్రి దుద్దిళ్ల శ్రీధర్ బాబు గారు స్పందిస్తూ, అధునాతన ఏఐ డేటా సెంటర్ల ఏర్పాటుకు అవసరమైన ప్రోత్సాహకాలు, సౌకర్యాలు ప్రభుత్వం కల్పిస్తుందన్నారు. నెట్ జీరో సిటీ అభివృద్ధే తెలంగాణ విజన్లో భాగమని అన్నారు. ఈ సమావేశంలో రెవెన్యూ మంత్రి పొంగులేటి శ్రీనివాస రెడ్డి గారితో పాటు ఉన్నతాధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy led the ‘Telangana Rising’ delegation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UPC–Volt joint venture on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos.
As per the agreement, the joint venture between Netherlands-based UPC Renewables Group and Volt Data Centers will establish a 100 MW AI data center at Bharat Future City in Hyderabad.
The delegation led by the Chief Minister held discussions with Volt CEO Mr Han De Groot, UPC Renewables (Asia Pacific) Co-founder Mr Steven Zwane, and UPC Renewables India CEO Mr Alok Nigam.
The project entails an investment of ₹5,000 crore over the next five years. To meet the power requirements of the data center, a dedicated 100 MW renewable energy plant will also be set up. During the construction phase, the project is expected to generate around 3,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities, with an additional 800 jobs to be created once the data center becomes operational.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister congratulated Minister Sridhar Babu for his role in attracting the investment and stated that advanced digital infrastructure would play a pivotal role in transforming Telangana into a 3 trillion dollar economic powerhouse under Telangana Rising 2047.
Responding to this, Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said that the government would extend all necessary incentives and facilities for the establishment of advanced AI data centers. He added that the development of a net-zero city is an integral part of Telangana’s vision. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and senior officials were present at the meeting.
