గత పదేండ్లుగా నిర్లక్ష్యానికి గురైన నారాయణపేట్ – కొడంగల్ ఎత్తిపోతల పథకాన్ని (NKLIS) చేపట్టడమే కాకుండా వచ్చే రెండేళ్లలో ఆ ప్రాజెక్టును పూర్తి చేయాలని సంకల్పించినట్టు ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు చెప్పారు. ప్రజా ప్రభుత్వం రెండో సంవత్సరం విజయోత్సవ సభలను మక్తల్లో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన బహిరంగ సభ నుంచి ప్రారంభించారు.
ముందుగా శ్రీ శ్రీ శ్రీ పడమటి ఆంజనేయస్వామి వారి ఆలయంలో స్వామి వారిని దర్శించుకుని ప్రత్యేక పూజలు నిర్వహించారు. ఆ తర్వాత నియోజకవర్గంలోని మక్తల్ మున్సిపాలిటీ పరిధిలో రూ. 118.82 కోట్లతో పలు అభివృద్ధి పనులకు ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు శంకుస్థాపన చేశారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమాల్లో మంత్రులు దామోదర రాజనర్సింహ గారు, కోమటిరెడ్డి వెంకటరెడ్డి గారు, జూపల్లి కృష్ణారావు గారు, వాకిటి శ్రీహరి గారితో పాటు ప్రజాప్రతినిధులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
అనంతరం స్థానికంగా అంబేద్కర్ నగర్లో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన బహిరంగ సభలో ప్రసంగించారు. దశాబ్దాల కాలంగా పాలమూరు జిల్లా వెనుకబాటు అంశాలను ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు ప్రస్తావించారు. పాలమూరు జిల్లాలో పాడిపంటలు పండాలన్న లక్ష్యంతో దశాబ్ద కాలంగా పాతాళానికి తొక్కివేయబడిన జీవో 69 ను బయటకు తీయడమే కాకుండా నారాయణపేట్ – కొడంగల్ ఎత్తిపోతల పనులను మొదలు పెట్టబోతున్నట్టు తెలిపారు.
సంక్షోభంలో కూరుకుపోయిన రాష్ట్రాన్ని సంక్షేమం వైపు నడిపించడానికి నిరంతరం పనిచేశాం. ప్రజా ప్రభుత్వం రైతుల కోసం 1.04 లక్షల కోట్ల రూపాయలు వెచ్చించాం. ఉన్న కష్టాలను అధిగమిస్తూ, అప్పులు చెల్లించుకుంటూ వేల కోట్ల రూపాయలతో సంక్షేమ కార్యక్రమాలు అమలు చేశాం..” అని అన్నారు.
మక్తల్ మున్సిపాలిటీ పరిధిలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు శంకుస్థాపన వివిధ అభివృద్ధి పనుల కోసం వివరాలు:
8 కోట్ల రూపాయలతో మక్తల్ మున్సిపాలిటీ పరిధిలో మౌలిక వసతులు, వివిధ అభివృద్ధి పనులు.
25 కోట్ల రూపాయలతో మక్తల్ మున్సిపాలిటీలో స్పోర్ట్స్ కాంప్లెక్స్ నిర్మాణం.
3.50 కోట్ల రూపాయలతో మక్తల్KGBV లో మౌలిక సదుపాయాల కల్పన, నూతన తరగతి గదుల నిర్మాణం.
82.32 కోట్ల రూపాయలతో మక్తల్ – నారాయణపేట్ రోడ్డు మొదటి దశలో 26 కి.మీ అభివృద్ధికి శంకుస్థాపన.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy stated that the long-neglected Narayanpet–Kodangal Lift Irrigation Scheme (NKLIS) is being revived with a firm commitment to complete the project within the next two years. The second-year victory celebrations of the Public Government commenced with a grand public meeting held in Makthal.
The Chief Minister first visited Sri Sri Sri Padamati Anjaneyaswamy Temple and offered special prayers. He later laid the foundation stone for development works worth ₹118.82 crore within Makthal Municipality.
Ministers Damodar Rajanarsimha, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, Jupally Krishna Rao, Vakiti Srihari, and several public representatives took part in the programmes.
Addressing the public meeting at Ambedkar Nagar, the Chief Minister highlighted the decades-long backwardness of the Palamuru region. He announced that the long-pending G.O. 69 will be revived to support dairy farming in Palamuru and that works on the Narayanpet–Kodangal Lift Irrigation Scheme will begin immediately.
“We have worked tirelessly to steer the state out of crisis and towards welfare. The Public Government has spent ₹1.04 lakh crore on farmers. Despite financial hurdles, we have implemented welfare schemes worth thousands of crores,” he said.
Development Works Laid by the Chief Minister in Makthal Municipality
₹8 crore – Infrastructure and various development works.
₹25 crore – Construction of a Sports Complex.
₹3.50 crore – Infrastructure and new classrooms at Makthal KGBV.
₹82.32 crore – Development of 26 km in Phase-I of the Makthal–Narayanpet Road.
