హైదరాబాద్లో సాఫ్రన్ ఎయిరోస్పేస్ ఫెసిలిటీ సెంటర్ను నెలకొల్పడం తెలంగాణ అభివృద్ధిలో ఒక మైలురాయిగా నిలుస్తుందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. ఫ్రాన్స్కు చెందిన సాఫ్రన్ (SAFRAN) సంస్థ ఎయిర్ క్రాఫ్ట్ ఇంజిన్ సర్వీసెస్ ఇండియా (SAESI) హైదరాబాద్ జీఎంఆర్ ఎయిరోపార్క్ (ఎస్ఈజెడ్) లో నెలకొల్పిన ఫెసిలిటీ సెంటర్ ప్రారంభోత్సవ కార్యక్రమంలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు పాల్గొని ప్రసంగించారు.
ప్రధానమంత్రి శ్రీ నరేంద్ర మోదీ గారు ఢిల్లీ నుంచి వర్చువల్ గా ఈ సెంటర్ను ప్రారంభించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా ఏర్పాటు చేసిన కార్యక్రమంలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు మాట్లాడుతూ, హైదరాబాద్ దేశంలోనే ప్రధాన ఎయిరోస్పేస్, డిఫెన్స్ హబ్గా మారిందని చెప్పారు.
ఈ అంశాలను పరిగణలోకి తీసుకుని బెంగుళూరు – హైదరాబాద్ను డిఫెన్స్ మరియు ఎయిరోస్పేస్ కారిడార్గా ప్రకటించాలని ప్రధానమంత్రి గారికి విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు.
ఎయిరోస్పేస్ రంగంలో ముఖ్యంగా వాటి నిర్వహణ, మరమ్మత్తులు, ఓవర్హాల్ వంటి సదుపాయాలతో పాటు పరికరాల తయారీ, పరిశోధన, అభివృద్ధి రంగాల్లో సాఫ్రన్, బోయింగ్, ఎయిర్ బస్, టాటా, భారత్ ఫోర్జ్ వంటి సంస్థలు హైదరాబాద్ను కేంద్రంగా ఎంచుకోవడం ఎంతో సంతోషంగా ఉందన్నారు.
“తెలంగాణపై ఎంతో నమ్మకంతో Safran గ్రూపు తన ఫెసిలిటీ సెంటర్ ఏర్పాటుకు హైదరాబాద్ను ఎంపిక చేసుకున్నందుకు ఆ సంస్థకు మా అభినందనలు. ఈ సెంటర్ ఏర్పాటు ఎయిరోస్పెస్, రక్షణ రంగంలో తెలంగాణ అభివృద్ధిలో ఒక మైలురాయిగా నిలుస్తుంది. ఎయిర్ క్రాఫ్ట్ ఇంజిన్ సర్వీసులను అందించడంలో దేశంలోనే ఇది మొట్టమొదటి సెంటర్.
ఈ ఫెసిలిటీ సెంటర్తో పాటు సాఫ్రన్కు చెందిన ఎం88 మిలటరీ ఇంజిన్ల నిర్వహణ, మరమత్తులు, ఓవర్ హాల్ (ఎంర్ఓ) కు శంకుస్థాపన చేసుకోవడం సంతోషకరమైన పరిణామం.
ఈ MRO భారత వైమానిక దళం, నావికాదళానికి ఎంతో ఉపయోగపడుతుంది. సాఫ్రన్ దాదాపు 1300 కోట్ల రూపాయల ప్రారంభ పెట్టుబడితో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన ఈ సెంటర్ ద్వారా వెయ్యి మందికిపైగా నైపుణ్యం కలిగిన సాంకేతిక నిపుణులు, ఇంజనీర్లకు ఉపాధి లభిస్తుంది.
పెట్టుబడులను ఆహ్వానించడం, పారిశ్రామికాభివృద్ధికి తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం ప్రగతిశీల విధానాలను అవలంభిస్తోంది. తెలంగాణ అమలు చేస్తోన్న ఎస్ఎంఈ విధానం దేశంలోనే అత్యుత్తమమైన వాటిల్లో ఒకటిగా నిలిచింది. ఇక్కడి ప్రపంచస్థాయి మౌలిక సదుపాయాలు, ఎయిరోస్పేస్ పార్కులు, ఎస్ఈజెడ్లు ప్రపంచ స్థాయి ప్రముఖ కంపెనీల నుంచి భారీ పెట్టుబడులను ఆకర్షించాయి.
ఎయిరోస్పేస్ రంగంలో గతేడాది ఎగుమతులు రెట్టింపయ్యాయి. గడిచిన 9 నెలల కాలంలో ఎగుమతులు 30 వేల కోట్లకు పైగా చేరుకుని, మొదటిసారి ఫార్మా ఎగుమతులను అధిగమించడం గమనార్హం. ఎయిరోస్పేస్ రంగంలో తెలంగాణ కేంద్ర పౌర విమానయాన మంత్రిత్వ శాఖ నుంచి అవార్డును పొందింది.
రాష్ట్రంలో నెలకొల్పిన యంగ్ ఇండియా స్కిల్స్ యూనివర్సిటీ ద్వారా విమానాల నిర్వహణ అంశాలపై ప్రత్యేక శిక్షణ ఇచ్చే అంశంపై ప్రభుత్వం దృష్టి పెడుతోంది. నైపుణ్యతను మెరుగుపరచడానికి టాటా టెక్నాలజీస్ సంస్థ భాగస్వామ్యంతో రాష్ట్రంలోని 100 ఐటీఐలను అడ్వాన్స్ డ్ టెక్నాలజీ సెంటర్లుగా తీర్చిదిద్దాం.
ప్రపంచ దేశాల్లోనే అగ్రశ్రేణి నగరాలతో పోటీ పడాలన్న సంకల్పంతో హైదరాబాద్ విమానాశ్రయం సమీపంలో 30 వేల ఎకరాల విస్తీర్ణంలో భారత్ ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీని నిర్మిస్తున్నాం. తెలంగాణ సమగ్ర అభివృద్ధి కోసం స్పష్టమైన ప్రణాళికను ఆవిష్కరించడానికి డిసెంబర్ 8, 9 తేదీల్లో ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీలో నిర్వహిస్తున్న తెలంగాణ రైజింగ్ గ్లోబల్ సమ్మిట్కు అందరినీ ఆహ్వానిస్తున్నాం.
భారత లక్ష్యాలను చేరుకోవడంలో భాగస్వామిగా ఉండాలని, 2047 నాటికి 3 ట్రిలియన్ డాలర్ల ఆర్థిక శక్తిగా తెలంగాణను తీర్చిదిద్దాలన్న లక్ష్యంతో పనిచేస్తున్నాం..” అని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు వివరించారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో కేంద్ర పౌర విమానయాన శాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీ కింజరాపు రామ్మోహన్ నాయుడు గారు, రాష్ట్ర పరిశ్రమలు ఐటీ శాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీ దుద్దిళ్ల శ్రీధర్ బాబు గారు, సాఫ్రన్ గ్రూప్ చైర్మన్ శ్రీ రాస్ మెకలెన్స్ గారు, సీఈఓ, డైరెక్టర్ శ్రీ ఒలివర్ అండ్రీస్ గారు, ఎయిర్క్రాఫ్ట్ ఇంజిన్స్ సీఈవో శ్రీ స్టీఫేన్ క్యూయెల్ గారు, జీఎంఆర్ గ్రూపు సంస్థల చైర్మన్ జీఎం రావు గారితో పాటు ఇతర ప్రతినిధులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy affirmed that the establishment of the Safran Aerospace Facility Center in Hyderabad marks a major milestone in Telangana’s development journey. The Chief Minister participated in the inauguration ceremony of the facility set up by French company SAFRAN Aircraft Engine Services India (SAESI) at the GMR Aeropark (SEZ) in Hyderabad and addressed the gathering.
Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji inaugurated the center virtually from New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Hyderabad has emerged as one of the country’s foremost hubs in the aerospace and defence sectors.
In view of this rapid progress, he appealed to the Prime Minister to declare the Bengaluru–Hyderabad region as a Defence and Aerospace Corridor.
The Chief Minister expressed happiness that global leaders like Safran, Boeing, Airbus, Tata, and Bharat Forge have chosen Hyderabad as their preferred destination for aerospace activities, including MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul), component manufacturing, and research and development.
“We congratulate the Safran Group for selecting Hyderabad with great confidence in Telangana. This facility will stand as a significant milestone in the state’s aerospace and defence ecosystem. It is the first centre in India to offer dedicated aircraft engine services,” he noted.
He added that it is encouraging that along with this facility, the foundation stone for Safran’s M88 Military Engine MRO has also been laid.
The M88 MRO facility will greatly benefit the Indian Air Force and the Indian Navy. Safran has established this facility with an initial investment of ₹1,300 crore, which will generate employment for more than a thousand skilled technicians and engineers.
Telangana is implementing progressive policies to attract investments and drive industrial growth. The state’s SME policy is among the finest in the country, while world-class infrastructure, aerospace parks, and SEZs have brought in major global investments.
Telangana’s aerospace exports doubled last year, and exports have already crossed ₹30,000 crore in the last nine months—surpassing pharma exports for the first time. Telangana has also received an award from the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation for excellence in the aerospace sector.
The government is prioritising specialised training in aircraft maintenance through the Young India Skills University. Plans are underway to transform 100 ITIs in the state into Advanced Technology Centres in collaboration with Tata Technologies.
With the ambition of competing with global innovation hubs, the government is developing the 30,000-acre Bharat Future City near Hyderabad Airport. The Chief Minister invited all stakeholders to the Telangana Rising Global Summit on December 8 and 9 at Future City, where a comprehensive roadmap for Telangana’s future will be presented.
“We are committed to contributing to India’s national goals and transforming Telangana into a $3 trillion economic powerhouse by 2047,” the Chief Minister said.

Rao, and other dignitaries participated in the programme.
