The Registration and Stamps Department is age old department functioning way back from the year 1864. The object of the department is to give publicity to the registered documents. Registration of a document is a notice to the public by way of definite recorded information to the world at large to enable public to verify the records and enquire therefrom the right, title and obligations if any on any immovable property. Further the department is acting as a "Royal record keeper", by preserving age old records and providing copies of the records held by it to provide as proof of genuineness in the Court of Law.​

The Revenue Department manages functions related to the matters of Government lands, excise, commercial tax, registrations, survey and settlements, endowments, and so on. The main functions of the Revenue Department are Propose and implement Acts and Rules related to matters of land revenue, excise, commercial tax. Deal with all the cases of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Vigilance and Enforcement. Handle disciplinary cases against the officers and employees of​ all grades of the Revenue Department. Deal with all the cases related to the Commissioner of Inquiries appointed for matters rela​​ting to the Revenue Department Manage service matters related to the Heads of Departments under the control of the Revenue Department​​​.​
